Perforated Microstrip Slow-wave Structure and the Characterization for Miniaturizing Microstrip Devices (마이크로스트립 소자의 소형화를 위한 천공된 마이크로스트립 Slow-wave 구조 및 해석)

  • The use of microstrip is very common for various passive microwave devices because of the rather simple and planar structure. However, many microstrip devices require fairly large surface areas, which results in real estate problems of finite substrates. In this paper, we proposed a perforated microstrip with longitudinal slow-wave effect and characterized experimentally and theoretically. The impedance matching to the reference impedance(50 $\Omega$) and the quality factor are greatly improved compared to the conventional slow-wave structure with modulated strip. Because of the structural simplicity, it can be easily applied to miniaturize many microstrip devices.

Modeling and Performance Evaluation of Multi-layer Composite Floor Plates with Holes (천공 다층 복합 바닥재의 모델링 및 성능평가)

  • Pleasantness or quietness becomes one of the most important factors for residential designs recently. Especially for apartments, the noise generated by falling objects becomes a sensitive issue these days. To overcome the problem of the impact noise in apartments, the floor design has been changed. To reduce the transmissibility of the noise, composite floor structures are devised and implemented for the construction of apartments. In this paper, the noise reduction performance of a composite floor plate with holes is analyzed. Computational modelings for the structures are developed and its performance is evaluated by using the finite element method. The results show that the noise can be well reduced with the multi-layer composite floor plates with holes.

  • Waterjets for rocks have various advantages of the non-contact and eco-friendly excavation using only water and abrasive. To overcome the problems (e.g., dust and noise occurrence) of the conventional drilling methods, waterjet excavation methods are broadly used. It is advantageous to operate a couple of nozzles in order to increase the waterjet excavation efficiency. When multiple nozzles are used, it is essential to analyze the excavation performance and shape according to the nozzle operation method. In this study, nozzle angle, horizontal distance between nozzles, and standoff distance were defined as nozzle operating parameters and the excavation performance and shape were analyzed. As a result of the experiment, when the nozzle angle and standoff distance are increased, the excavation depth is decreased and the effective depth tends to be increased. In addition, based on the experimental results, the excavation shape criteria required for nozzle insertion were proposed and optimal nozzle operating parameters were derived according to the criteria. This study result is expected to be used as useful basic research in the future development of multiple waterjet nozzles for rock drilling.

  • 팽창재와 같은 비촉성 파쇄재는 화약발파와 비교하여 볼 때 진동을 유발하지 않는다는 면에서 인접한 구조물에 영향을 주지 않고 암반을 파괴할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 비폭성 파괴방법으로 유압식 암석분할기도 팽창재와 유사한 적용성을 갖고 있으나 힘을 작용시킬수 있는 천공깊이에 제약을 갖고 있으며 규모가 큰 암반의 파괴 방법으로는 적용한계가 있다. 반면에 팽창재는 천공깊이에 큰 제약을 받지 않으며 천공수에 제한을 받지 않는다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 팽창재의 현장적용시 가장 큰 단점의 하나로 지적되고 있는 것은 파괴력을 나타내기까지의 시간이 오래 걸림으로 작업능률에 문제가 있다는 것이다. 반응시간은 물과 팽창재와의 반응률과 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있으며 본 논문에서는 팽창재의 적용성을 높이기 위하여 실시한 여러 조건하에서 팽창재 반응률 특성에 관한 연구내용을 기술한다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1)팽창재의 반응은 주위온도에 큰 영향을 받는다. 2) 팽창재의 성능을 충분히 발휘하기 위하여는 주위 온도 조건에 따라 천공직경을 적절히 조절하는 것이 필요하다. 3) 낮은 주위 온도 조건에서 팽창재의 반응은 압력이 증가하는 시간이 느리고 따라서 최대 팽창압이 높은 온도 조건에 비해서 낮게 나타난다. 4)팽창압이 증가하는 시간은 팽창재와 물과의 반응률에 좌우된다.

  • Drifter is equipment which is hard to localize. Performance of prototype hasn't performed well compared to product of leading companies even though advanced foreign firm's product were dead copied. This study shows cases of approaching the factor which produces performance gap through drifter hydraulic analysis model which is core component of rock drill. Progression of procedure is following. 1) Securing reliability of the analysis model by comparing impact test result with analysis result. 2) Drawing a graph which indicates performance gap between prototype and drifter of advanced foreign firm by using analysis model. 3) Approaching the factor which produces performance gap with analysing variable of the analysis model. Software used for this analysis is SimulationX.

  • The use of an error-correcting code is essential in communication systems where the channel is noisy. Unless a receiver has accurate channel coding parameters, it becomes difficult to decode the digitized encoding bits correctly. In this paper, we propose two algorithms for reconstructing convolutional codes: one for general convolutional codes and the other for punctured convolutional codes. And we also verify the algorithms by performing intensive computer simulation in additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) channel.

  • The composite metal deck plate system has been widely used of late for office structures. However, composite floor decks are bored imprudently for installation in building equipment. In this study, experimental investigations of bored composite steel deck slabs were performed to evaluate the flexural capacity of each specimen. The variables set were the shapes and positions of the openings in the composite slabs. The results were analyzed in the form of load-displacement graphs and with respect to the ductility and energy dissipation capacity ofeach specimen to evaluate its structural capacity.

  • 본 논문에서는 수신신호의신호대잡음비를 이용하여 작동되는 적응부호화 시스템을 레일레이 페이딩 채널 환경에서 분석한다. 분석에서는 레일레이 페이딩 채널을 수신신호의 신호대잡음비를 K개의 구간으로 나누어서 유한 상태 마르코프 채널로 모델링한다. 채널 상태를 예측하는 과정에서 발생하는 오류확률을 고려하여 적응부호화 시스템의 평균 BER과 throughput이 계산된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 분석 방법을 이용하여 천공 길쌈부호를 이용한는 적응부호화 시스템의 성능을 분석한 결과가 예제로 보여진다.

Effects of Different Fenestration Configurations on Daylighting Performance in Unilateral Window under Clear and Overcast Sky Conditions (편측창에서 창개구부의 형상이 천공상태별 채광성능에 미치는 영향)

  • Daylighting provides the opportunity for both energy savings and improved visual comfort. An accurate estimation of the amount of daylight entering a building is the key step for daylight designing. This research aims to assess comparative daylighting performance of four different configurations of fenestration in case of unilateral windows and their variation under clear and overcast sky conditions. The selected window openings in this study were single punched, double punched, multiple punched and clerestory, and the area was same for each type of window. The experiment was designed for an office space using 1/10 scale model. Daylighting performance was evaluated by measuring the illuminance on work-plane height using Agilent data logger and photometric sensor Li-Cor. Thecomputer program ECOTECT was also used to simulate the pattern of interior illuminance distribution. Clerestory window showed the best performance in term of both illuminance level and distribution in the experiment. Multiple punched window provided more uniform illuminance distribution than single punched window. Lowest daylighting performance in the experiment was shown by double punched window.
