  • In this paper, we analyzed 2015 revised curriculum for elementary school's practical art and middle school's information subject based on core competency. As a result, in 2015 revised curriculum for practical art subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives. Also, problem solving ability and creativity·convergence ability were well reflected. In 2015 revised curriculum for information subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives as like practical art subject. However, there were fewer learning elements to develop self-management ability. Therefore, it is proposed in this paper that the learning elements and teaching, learning activities and evaluation contents should be included in the SW curriculum, which can further enhance cooperative capabilities, self-management ability and communication ability.

  • The purpose of this study is to promote the activation of creative problem - solving education in Korea through the case of countries leading education for creative problem solving in order to overcome the limitation of creative problem solving education in Korea. Based on 5 success factors by our cases of United States, Singapore, and Dublin City University in Ireland, we focused on the cases and extracted five key characteristics of creative problem solving education. The university should be able to provide various information gathering and theoretical knowledge for problem definition as well as continuing guidance and mentoring, rather than one-time teaching, in the form of teaching-student cooperative learning paradigm. Second, the class should be a team - based learning team which is a key factor in overseas universities' policy, so as to be able to identify differentiated, new ideas and creative problem solving methods based on knowledge and experience sharing. The creative problem solving method derived from education could be able to collect, organize, and apply to the field continuously and comprehensively about the learning process of the individual. Evaluation of curriculum should be based on characteristics of school and characteristics of students. The results of creative problem-solving education should be evaluated in order to continuously develop and create value in addition to the outcomes of the class. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an evaluation process for each university. The university should try to make creative problem solving education create value through specialization of university. Based on this, we propose a creative problem solving education framework.

  • We studied the perceived creative ability, convergent thinking and creative leadership related to converged capabilities among students who participated in the capstone design and graduation works and those who did not participate. In creative ability, students who participated capstone design and graduation works need more curriculum and non-curriculum activities for the idea generation through the understanding of various majors, but overall, they achieved higher positive results than the nonparticipating students. For creative leadership and convergent thinking, students with capstone design and graduation works showed a more positive capabilities, while students with nonparticipating students showed a slightly lack of creative thinking of higher order thinking, the logical analysis of complex phenomena, and overall understanding.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of a disposition towards critical thinking, self-esteem, creative convergence competency, and professional self-concept as factors affecting the professional self-concept of nursing students. This study was conducted on 326 nursing students between July 1st and July 30th, 2020. The data was collected by self-reporting questionnaires and analyzed with the SPSS/Win19.0 program using the descriptive statistics t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The mean score of critical thinking disposition was 3.39±0.02, self-esteem 3.46±0.03, creative convergence competency 3.33±0.02, and professional self-concept 3.07±0.02 in nursing students. There was a significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and critical thinking disposition (r=.748, p<.001), self-esteem (r=.642, p<.001), and creative convergence competency (r=.707, p<.001). The significant factors influencing professional self-concept were critical thinking disposition, self-esteem and creative convergence competency, which explained 67.8% of the variance. Therefore, this study suggests that there is a need for a strategy that increases critical thinking disposition, self-esteem, and creative convergence competency to improve professional self-concept in nursing students.

  • This article reviews the current issues of engineering education: engineering creativity, R&D 3.0 and Education 3.0 and comfirms need of refining quality of engineering education through learner-centered hybrid project learning. this article suggests the Global engineering project(GEP) program as an ideal hybrid project learning model that develop student's creativity and convergence capability. GEP program is learnner-centered interdisciplinary program that whole processes are managed by interdisciplinary students team aiming to global engineers who are globally competent and locally relevant so that they can function effectively in any country by local activity in developing country. The program consist of four main parts: 1)pre activity, 2)local activity from abroad, 3)design and producing prototype and 4)participating in the design contest or academic conference with the products. As a result, students' global competence, teamwork skill and capability of creative problem solving are remarkably improved.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between authentic leadership of nursing managers and team creativity: the mediation role of positive psychological capital. The study participants were 124 staff nurses. The measurements included authentic leadership, psychological capital and team creativity. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and Baron and Kenny's three-level hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 25.0 to identify correlation among variables and mediating effect of positive psychological capital. The research results indicated that the higher the authentic leadership, the higher the team's creativity and the higher the nurse's positive psychological capital and confirmed that positive psychological capital has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between authentic leadership and team creativity. The findings suggest that in order to improve the team creativity of staff nurses, converged organizational behavior management strategies are needed to improve the authentic leadership of managers perceived by staff nurses and the positive psychological capital of staff nurses.

  • The 2015 revised curriculum is structured around the core competencies of the 21st century, this is in line with the world's flow of education, such as OECD Education 2030. A future practical leading model was studied to provide a variety of creative teaching and learning experiences to elementary and Secondary students using intelligent information technology to cultivate core competencies such as ICT and computing thinking. In order for this practical model to stably settle the school field, the training was planned and operated to strengthen the creative convergence education capacity required by the teachers at the unit school through various types of the training. In particular, a nationwide administrators training program was operated for three years, reflecting the new curriculum, teaching and learning methods, and evaluation that can lead to future convergence talent training. In this paper, the perception of creative convergence education was investigated and analyzed considering the influence that administrators may have on the school field. Based on this, through the three-year operation results of the training, it was intended to establish a new training method for stable access to future creative convergence education under the post-corona era's social issues.

  • The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of learning by running an extracurricular program to make effective learning of unfamiliar and difficult programming education possible for students in the humanities. Analysis of learning-related data for one semester of lectures that were collected from 70 humanities students in departments A and B, data collected from a creative convergence app development contest extracurricular program, and data obtained through a questionnaire show that extracurricular program activities affect academic performance. The results of the core competency diagnosis test for students that was conducted before and after participating in the curriculum showed that core competencies improved for both A and B departments after participating in the curriculum. This study shows that extracurricular program activities can help individuals improve their abilities, while also providing customized guidance to reclusive students to improve their academic performance. By carrying out customized coaching for each department to develop apps related to the major field rather than general apps, we hope for improvements in ability to solve problems by converging with the major field, computational thinking, and creative thinking, in the future.
