Due to the inferior condition of local library reference service, an air of indifference about users, and the increase in Internet resources, cooperative reference service in domestic libraries tend to be stagnant. The increase in Internet resources was reconsidered, aside from traditional library reference service, based on question and answer service. It shed new light on the importance of indirect service, which is focused on reliable knowledge base construction. This study analyzed cooperative reference service, which is managed by the Japanese Diet library that pursued indirect service contrary to ours. Based on that, it suggested a new takeoff possibility for Korean cooperative reference service.

The purpose of this article is to examine the research trends of 'bibliography' in Korea. By utilizing citation analysis methods, total 1,321 cited references of the 51 articles published by ${\ulcorner}Journal of the Institute of Bibliography{$\lrcorner}$ in 2000 and 2001 are analysed. This analysis is focused on an article's subjects and authors'occupations, the numbers and journal categories of its cited references. Also, this study observes the nationalities and languages of cited references and various items related to authors of cited references. The most of findings of this study are similar to the previous studies. However, it could find that there are minor differences from the existing literatures, in respect to subject areas, the number of cited references and the forms of cited references. In conclusion, this study recommends that bibliographers's collaborative works with related fields such as history and library and information science need to be strengthened, and that qualitative apaches as well as citation analysis methods might be beneficial for further expansion of academic scope of 'bibliography'.

Based on the comprehensive literature search and the sample library surveys, some observations are made on the impact of online information technologies for reference services. Various issues specifically with OPAC, CD-ROM, remote database access, and internet environment are overviewed as the source of and trigger for change in reference librarianship and in terms of expectations as well as difficulties. The paper then focuses on how these technologies influence on the roles of reference librarians as intermediaries in information providing, instructing, consulting, and evaluating functions. This leads to rethinking the conceptual basis of today's reference service and the competencies for reference librarians with new functions and responsibilities.

인용 레코드 추출은 인용 색인 구축의 모든 프로세스 입력으로 사용되기 때문에 이후의 과정에 미칠 수 있는 부작용을 고려해서 최대한 정확한 정보가 추출되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 수집한 논문의 참고문헌 영역을 인식하고 이를 참고문헌 영역 내의 특징들을 이용하여 인용 레코드를 추출하는 템플릿 기반 인용 레코드 추출을 제안한다. 제안된 추출 방법은 기존 방법보다 18% 성능이 증가했으며 전체 인용 레코드에 대한 추출성능은 0.98(F1)의 성능을 보인다. 이는 향후 논문 저장소에서 논문을 대상으로 영역 인식을 통한 정보 추출에 유용하게 활용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

This study investigated the current state of the reference services of the Korean university libraries and examined ways to improve the system. Especially this study introduced the concept of 'subjectized reference services'and tried to find a way to apply it to the present stage of the Korean university libraries. For that purpose, this study surveyed the reference librarians of the university libraries across the country. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for training 'subject specialist librarians', who can provide specialized services appropriate to the realities of the Korean university libraries.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the accuracy of references in articles published in Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing. Methods: All references in articles from 2007 to 2009 were compared with PubMed for authors, years, titles, journals, volume, and page accuracy. Four hundred twenty six references were reviewed. Errors were classified either major or minor. Results: Overall rate of inaccurate reference was 46.5%. 34.5% were major errors and 18.8% were minor errors. Most common major errors occurred in the authors, whereas most common minor errors occurred in the titles. Conclusion: It is necessary that authors, reviewers, and editorial committees make more efforts to enhance the reference accuracy.
