The development step to advance an academic performance based on information technology (정보기술에 기반 한 학업성취도 향상을 위한 발전단계에 관한 연구)

  • An academic performance can advance the expectations that lead to academic success. The purpose of this study was to research the relationship of the variables; past performance, the ability to use information technology, outcome expectations, grade goal of studies, and study performance in an information technology course. Participants completed a background questionnaire, the Information Technology Proficiency Exam, the scale of the ability using computer, and the Technology Outcome scale. Based on path model results, the findings suggest that students' academic performance is related to past performance. Consistent with theory, the findings suggest that the studies performance is influenced by ability using information technology via the establishment of the grade goal of studies. In the present study, the past performance variable failed to predict an academic studies performance when impacted by outcome expectations.

The Study of Functional Independence and Bone Mineral Density in Athletes With Spinal Cord Injury (척수 손상을 가진 운동선수와 비운동선수의 일상생활 기능과 골밀도 비교연구)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 척수손상환자들 중 신체활동 정도가 급격하게 차이 나는 운동 선수군과 비선수군의 일상생활동작과 골밀도를 비교 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 : 본 연구를 위해 20명(선수 10명, 비선수 10명)의 SCI 환자가 실험에 참가하였다. 골밀도 측정을 위해 이중에너지 방사선골밀도 측정기(Lunar Prodigy, GE Healthcare. England)를 이용하여 종골부위(calcaneus)의 골밀도를 측정하였다. 척수손상환자의 일상 생활 기능을 측정하기 위해 자조관리(self care), 호흡과 괄약근 조절 (respiration and sphincter management task), 이동(transfer)의 세 영역으로 나누어진 SCIM II(Spinal Cord Injury Measurement II)을 이용하였다. 척수손상환자들 중 운동 선수군과 비운동 선수군의 일상생활 동작과 골밀도를 비교 하기 위해 SPSS 14.0 통계 프로그램의 independent t-test를 이용하여 통계분석을 실시하였고 일상생활 동작과 골밀도의 상관관계는 Pearson correlation을 실시하였다. 유의수준은 ${\alpha}$=.05로 통계처리 하였다. 결과 : 검사 결과 선수군이 비선수군보다 통계적으로 유의하게 큰 SCIM 점수와 T-score를 보여주었다. 결론 : 일상생활동작을 측정하기 위하여 SCIM II(SpinalCordIndependenceMeasureII) 척도를 사용하였는데 선수군이 비선수군에 비해 유의하게 높은 SCIM II 총점을 나타내어 운동을 통한 훈련이 척수손상환자의 기능적 활동을 향상시킬 수 있다고 사료된다. 그리고 골밀도 측정 결과 선수군이 비선수군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 골밀도를 나타내었다. 이 역시 강도 높은 훈련이 척수손상환자에게 나타날 수 있는 신체구성을 강화시켜줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 운동을 통한 재활 중에서 그 강도가 높을수록 신체의 구성적, 기능적 측면 뿐 아니라 신경의 가소성 측면에서도 증가를 기대해 볼 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the appropriateness of gustatory features in product design affect product evaluation and accompanied response by using functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI). Through the pilot survey, we categorized the product designs into two groups based on the level of the appropriateness. The total of 40 product designs were selected as the experimental stimuli. 15 right-handed participants(mean age = 23.33, SD = 1.7) were scanned with 3T MRI machine(ISOL Tech, Oxford OR63). The experimental stimuli were passively presented inside the scanner. In post scanning session, participants were asked to measure their preference and buying intention to the product designs. The results show that both the preference and buying intention were significantly higher for the high appropriateness condition compared to those of low appropriateness designs. Caudate nucleus and putamen, areas related to the positive reward such as monetary acquisition showed greater activation in response to the designs of high appropriateness condition, compared to the low appropriateness designs.

Relations among Motivation to participate, Organizational Support, Satisfaction and Learning Outcomes of Female Adult Learners in Lifelong Education (여성 평생교육참가자의 참여동기, 기관의 지원, 만족도, 학습성과 간의 관계 규명)

  • The purpose of the present study is to verify the structural relationship among motivation to participate, organizational support, satisfaction and learning outcome in lifelong education. The survey was conducted on the learners who enrolled in "A" lifelong education center in the first semester of 2011 and structural equation modeling analysis were used. A total of 151 respondents were analyzed for this study. The major findings of this research are as follow: First, motivation to participate factor has an influence on the satisfaction and learning outcomes. Second, organizational support factor has an influence on the satisfaction, but not on the learning outcomes. Third, learners' satisfaction have direct effects on the learning outcomes. Furthermore, learners' satisfaction mediated causal relationship between motivation to participate and learning outcomes. This study proposed implications and managing strategies that enhance satisfaction of female adult learners in lifelong education environment and learning outcomes.

Determinants of Satisfaction on Short-Term Training for Vocational School Teachers - Case of Overseas Training in ODA for Developing Countries (직업훈련교사에 대한 단기교육의 만족도 결정요인 - 개도국의 국내초청 직업훈련을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to research factors determining satisfaction on the short-term training courses offered to vocational school teachers, and to analyze the case of the overseas training for developing countries. An empirical study is performed by surveying 226 trainees having participated in international HRD program of the HRD Korea during 2008~2011. The results show that the training demand survey, training period and fitting to the trainees' major and the educational level positively affect the satisfaction on the short-term training for teachers of vocational schools. The implication of this study is that programs customized to personal attributes and educational level are needed in the ODA overseas training and the short-term training for teachers of vocational schools.

An Analysis on Mentor Teacher's Difficulties during Collaborative Mentoring Program (협력적 멘토링 과정에서 나타난 멘토의 어려움 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine mentor teachers' difficulties during their collaborative mentoring process to improve beginning science teachers' teaching practice. Participants were fourteen science teachers. This study collected questionnaires for mentor teachers' perception of the mentoring program, questionnaires for mentor teachers' efficacy, a record and transcript of interview, a record and transcript of mentoring conversation, and mentor teachers' journals for the study. The result showed that mentor teachers were having difficulties with mentee teachers when they have different major or work in different levels of school, and they found it hard to set aside time for mentoring due to heavy amount of school work. Also, they had low self-confidence experiencing a lack of expertise as a mentor teacher, and some mentor teachers were having difficulties in building a rapport with mentee teachers. Mentor teachers had difficulties as well when they have different point of view with mentee teachers about mentoring.

Nationwide Comparison of Postal Motorcyclists' Driving Behavior and their Workloads using V-World Platform (브이월드를 활용한 집배 이륜차 운전자들의 운전 행동과 업무 부하의 비교 분석)

  • Although motorcycle safety studies to date have identified the causes of motorcycle accidents in general, very few have investigated postal motorcycle accidents by studying the delivery postmen's specific work environment. To better understand postal motorcyclists' driving behavior associated with their delivery workload, we developed a system using V-World platform which visualizes driving behavior in real time along the driver's delivery route throughout an entire work day. We conducted a field test to examine the feasibility of our system by involving six delivery postmen currently working in Songpa, Seocheongju, and Gangseo, respectively. To show the potential of our system for nationwide comparison of postal motorcyclists' driving behavior and their workloads, we present several sample analyses using the collected field data. Although ideally, postmen's workloads should be standardized nationwide, we found large variation depending on regional characteristics of work area which affects postmen's driving behavior.

  • 한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 (Korea Young Astronomers Meeting, 이하 본 모임)은 2011년 2월 13일부터 5박6일간 제주도에서 'The 4th East Asia Young Astronomers Meeting' (이하 EAYAM2011)을 개최하였다. EAYAM은 한국, 대만, 일본, 중국 등 동아시아 4개국의 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 교류와 연구 증진을 위하여 3년에 한 번씩 열리는 모임으로, 2003년 대만, 2006년 일본, 2008년 중국에 이어 4회째를 맞이하였다. EAYAM2011에는 한국 36명, 대만 19명, 일본 14, 중국 23명, 태국 1명 등 총 93명이 참여하여 구두발표 (71편) 및 포스터 발표(23편)를 진행하였다. 초청강연은 천문연구원의 김종수 박사, ISAS/JAXA의 Munetaka Ueno 교수 (일본), 상하이 천문대의 Cheng Li 교수 (중국), ASIAA의 Jeremy Kim 교수 (대만) 등 총 4편이 있었다. 참가자들은 발표 외에도 휴식시간을 이용하여 다양한 토의를 할 수 있었으며, 셋째 날 오후에는 다 함께 성산일출봉을 방문하여 제주도의 자연 경관을 둘러보며 친분을 쌓았다. 차기 EAYAM은 4개국의 순환개최 방식에 따라 2014년경 대만에서 개최하기로 결정되었다. 또한 2010년 8월 26일부터 2박3일간 일본에서 개최된 제 4회 JKYAM (Japan-Korea Young Astronomers Meeting)에 18명이 참가하였고, 차기 KJYAM (Korea-Japan Young Astronomers Meeting)은 한국에서 2012년 2월 21일부터 3박 4일 일정으로 개최하는 것을 목표로 준비하고 있다. 그리고 2011년 8월 5일-6일에는 '한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 정기모임'을 개최하여, 회원들이 한 자리에 모여 1년간의 활동을 정리 하고 회칙 초안의 세부조항을 논의하는 기회를 마련하였으며, 본 모임의 차기 임원진을 선출하였다.

  • Performance-based Project Delivery System(PPDS) is one of Project Delivery System that when owner ask for performance than constructor feel free to choose materials, technology, an engineering method. PPDS rank higher position than Performance Warranty Contract and Technical Proposal Bid. This study aims to propose Improvement Idea for PPDS that based Housing Performance Grading Indication System. 'Request-performance Checklist' is used as communication means(between owner and constructor) and a kind of corroborative facts make the procedures achievement of project like contract easier.

  • Mathematics learning motivation is an important variable which is not only the primary goal of learning mathematics but also mediates the effects of the mathematics learning. Nevertheless, the present learning environment is full of impeding factors which reduce learners' motivation to learn mathematics and mathematical self-regulatory efficacy. The purpose of this study is to offer various suggestions for program to enhance and forster mathematics learning motivation based on empirical findings and theories on motivation, self-regulatory learning, regulatory focus, reducing academic stress and math anxiety. The concrete and practical ideas are suggested in terms of mathematical self-regulatory efficacy, learners' characteristics, learning task. The analysis of the effects revealed a positive effect on mathematical self-regulatory learning.
