Background : Airway inflammation and hyperresponsiveness are recognized as major characteristics of bronchial asthma. Airway inflammation has usually been assessed by invasive methods, e.g. BAL or bronchial biopsy, but recent studies proposed induced sputum as another reliable and non-invasive tool to investigate airway inflammation in asthmatic patients. Thus, the relationship between airway inflammation assessed by induced sputum and airway hyperresponsiveness was investigated in asthmatic patient. Method : Airway responsiveness was determined by the concentration that caused a 20% decrease in $FEV_1$($PC_{20}$) after inhaling incremental concentrations of methacholine. The numbers of inflammatory cells and the concentration of eosinophilic cationic protein(ECP) were assessed in induced sputum obtained by inhalation of hypertonic saline(3%). Result: We analyzed sputum induced in 15 stable asthmatic patients. The differential cell count(%) of macrophages, neutrophils, eosinophils and lymphocytes in induced sputum were $39.1{\pm}27.0%$, $29.6{\pm}21.0%$, $28.8{\pm}18.8%$, $1.3{\pm}3.1%$ respectively. The mean value of baseline FEV1(predicted) and ECP were $76.3{\pm}30.3%$ and $1,101{\pm}833{\mu}g/L$ respectively. The geometric mean value of $PC_{20}$ was 0.56 mg/mL. The relationships between the sputum eosinophil and ECP in induced sputum, and between sputum eosinophil and degree of airway responsiveness($PC_{20}$) were found to be significantly correlated (r=0.81, p<0.05 and r=-0.78, p<0.05, respectively). Sputum neutrophils and $PC_{20}$ were not correlated to each other (r=0.11, p=0.69) and a significant negative correlation was found between ECP and baseline $FEV_1$(predicted)(r=-0.62, p<0.05). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that an induced sputum via a inhalation of hypertonic saline is useful to determine a patient's status of airway inflammation, and airway inflammation is one of the major causal factors in the development of bronchial hyperresponsiveness in asthmatic patients.

This study was to highlight the importance of elements of flower fair to organizer who organize flower fair in local community, to increase of participancy in flower fair exhibition with informing experience element and finally to increase incomes of flower farmhouse. To investigate degrees of interest of visitors on experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair, survey was conducted for 278 target audiences and data was analyzed to find the effect of experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair on the interest of purchasing. To population statistics, female took majority, 61.9% in sex, twenties, 34.5% in ages, married, 50.7% in marriage and students, 36.7% in job. University graduation occupied 58.3% in education, one million something, 48.6% in average income, seoul showed 38.1% in resident cities and 1st time visit was 79.9% in flower fair visit. For statistical categories, technology statistics analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. To check validity, factor analysis was conducted, and to see interrelationship of factors, using regression analysis, fluence among factors was analyzed. Results showed that exhibition environment of flower fair was effected by cultural elements, exhibition quality and exhibition service were effected by event and cultural element, exhibition marketing was effected by cultural and image element and purchasing interest was effected by image element.
Among food-service managers, a survey was conducted to grasp the their work-related education conditions and the demand for education program development. This study focuses on food-service managers in web-based training and analyzes the critical factors involved in their learning process in order to clarify the factors that lead to the maximization of training programs. The results of all this study process are as follows. First, the characteristics of web-based education including component of education factor, system factor, deepening learning factor have meaningful effect on commitment of the participants and education performance(except deepening learning factor to education performance). Second, the analysis that the characteristics of individuals including self-efficacy in learning, purpose-directivity factor have meaningful effects on commitment of the participants and education performance(except purpose-directivity factor to education performance). Third, commitment of the participants has meaningful effects on the education performance. Thus, it is advisable for education managers or operators to emphasize in foodservice organizations.
The job of long distance driving is likely to be fatiguing and requires long period alertness and attention, which make considerable demands of the driver. Driving fatigue contributes to driver related with accidents and fatalities. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the number of hours of driving and driving fatigue using heart rate variability(HRV) signal. With a more traditional measure of overall variability (standard deviation, mean, spectral values of heart rate). Nonlinear characteristics of HRV signal were analyzed using Approximate Entropy (ApEn) and Poincare plot. Five subjects drive the four passenger vehicle twice. All experiment number was 40. The test route was about 300Km continuous long highway circuit and driving time was about 3 hours. During the driving, measures of electrocardiogram(ECG) were performed at intervals of 30min. HRV signal, derived from the ECG, was analyzed using time, frequency domain parameters and nonlinear characteristic. The significance of differences on the response to driving fatigue was determined by Student's t-test. Differences were considered significant when a p value < 0.05 was observed. In the results, mean heart rate(HRmean) decreased consistently with driving time, standard deviation of RR intervals(SDRR), standard deviation of the successive difference of the RR intervals(SDSD) increased until 90min. Hereafter, they were almost unchanging until the end of the test. Normalized low frequency component $(LF_{norm})$, ratio of low to high frequency component (LF/HF) increased. We used the Approximate Entropy(ApEn), Poincare plot method to describe the nonlinear characteristics of HRV signal. Nonlinear characteristics of HRV signals decreased with driving time. Statistical significant is appeared after 60 min in all parameters.
Metacognitive monitoring refers to high dimensional cognitive activities. Understanding one's own cognitive processes accurately can make effective controls for their performance. Brain area related with metacognition is PFC which is completed the order of late and it can be inferred that monitoring abilities is developing during late adolescent. In this study, we explored the developmental difference in monitoring accuracy between high school students and college students using by measuring JOL(Judgment of Learning). Participants was asked that they study Spanish-Korean word pairs and judge their future performance of memory. In the result, people in both groups thought that they could remember word pairs better than their actual performance. Absolute bias scores which mean the degree to predict their performance apart from true scores showed the interaction between subject groups and task difficulty. Specifically, people judged their learning state quite accurately in easy task condition. However, in difficult task condition, both groups showed inaccuracy for predicting their learning and the magnitude of the degree was bigger in the group of high school students.
The purpose of this study is to compare the educational needs of public officials and private employees for health and welfare in order to improve education program. Data were collected from 2,290 public officials and 1,991 private employees and were analyzed using frequency analysis and independent sample t-test. Private employees recognized that education and training are more enough than public officials. In addition, private employees took the gathering training classes more than public officials. Private employees reported that they are more satisfied than public officials with regard to leader consideration, peers' will of participation and institutional conditions. However, public officials reported that they are more satisfied than private employee officials with regard to the degree of sharing of information and education for new policies. Public officials preferred three or two days of training, but private employees preferred one or two days. Both public officials and private employees preferred gathering training classes and blended learning as an effective education type. Based on this research, invigoration of health and welfare education and the management of its plan were discussed.

Forty two female students whose fat mass ratio was over 30% were participated in the experiment of fat mass loss of two treatments for 8 weeks. They kept diary for foods they ate every day, took a picture of the foods, transmitted the picture to the experimenter by the camera phone. Among those, 28 students took the picture by regular camera phone (Treatment A), and the other students used smart phone (Treatment B). Fat mass weight and its related variables had been measured repeatedly four times at an interval of two weeks during 8 weeks. It was shown from mixed model analysis of repeated measurements data that AR(1) covariance matrix was selected as the optimal covariance matrix pattern. The correlation between two successive times is highly correlated as 0.838. Based upon the AR(1) covariance matrix structure, the students using smart phones were somewhat more effective in losing fat mass weight than the students using regular camera phones. The time effect was highly significant, but the treatment-time interaction effect was insignificant. The baseline effect and total cholesterol were found to be significant, but the calories with taking foods were somewhat significant, but the waist to hip ratio was found to be insignificant.

In this clinical research, the fluoride tape(SCMC-T-5) using fluoride(NaF) was developed and manufactured and the treatment effect of the fluoride tape in dentin hypersensitivity patients was evaluated and compared with the effect of existing fluoride varnish($CavityShield^{TM}$). Twenty two healthy adult patients(88 teeth) having dentin hypersensitivity participated in this clinical research and they were divided into two groups. The fluoride product was applied according to the manufacturer's instruction and the level of pain in the tooth after giving irritation using compressed air and ice stick was measured just after the application, after 3 days, after a week and after 4 weeks each using visual analog scale(VAS). In the experimental group, compared with the early VAS scores, all other VAS scores showed the significant decreases statistically. In the control group, all VAS scores except the VAS score of 34.091(air) measured 3 days after(using the irritation examination by the compressed air) showed the significant decreases statistically when compared with the early VAS scores. The fluoride tape and fluoride varnish used in this clinical research were able to treat the dentin hypersensitivity effectively.
The aim of this study was to find whether the perception of facial attractiveness is influenced by gender, age and kinds of affective dimensions(sharp/soft, babyish/mature). In the study the participants (48 elementary school students, 44 middle school students, 39 university students comprised of 60 males and 71 females) were shown the photos of sixty female faces and asked to grade each face on a nine point scale in three different dimensions (sharp/soft, babyish/mature, attractive/unattractive). Results using Multi-level analysis, faces that were babyish and soft were perceived as more attractive regardless of gender and age. But differences were found in the strength of facial attractiveness by gender and age. Two groups (elementary school students and middle school students) perceived the same photos of female faces to be less attractive than the university students. Also, male participants perceived the faces to be less attractive than female participants. Moreover the study showed a significant difference between university students and elementary school students in relation to the sharp/soft dimension and this dimension was more influential on elementary school students than university students. These results further suggest that if a face looks babyish and soft, then the face will be perceived as attractive regardless of gender or age. However, the degree of facial attractiveness perceived depends on the participant's gender and age.

This study compared the innovative characteristics of science teachers who participated in the First Student Science Inquiry Olympic and those of science teachers who did not participate in the event. The subjects were science teachers in three groups: (1) the active participants in the Inquiry Olympic who supervised the students contestants, (2) the observers of the Inquiry Olympic who came to see the event, and (3) the ordinary teachers who did not come to the Inquiry Olympic and were sampled through stratified cluster sampling. The study instrument was a questionnaire; all the subjects received the survey questionnaire by mail. The return rate was 45%. In general, the Inquiry Olympic participants(both the student supervisors and the observers) demonstrated different characteristics from the nonparticipants in four categories. Firstly, the Inquiry Olympic participants showed higher level of self actualization, for example, interest in science education, higher inner motivation, stronger desire to innovate than did the nonparticipants. Secondly, the participants demonstrated more involvement in professional activities and greater degree of upward social mobility than the nonparticipants. Thirdly, the participants had communication behaviors different from nonparticipants, e. g.. greater leadership of public opinions, more experience of contact with the change agent, greater tendency to regard their school society as modern. Lastly, the participants had higher social status than the nonparticipants. Implications and suggestions are made for the utilization of the innovation-oriented science teachers to implement of innovations in the future.
