착용센서가 스포츠, 복지, 건강 등 다양한 분야에서 널리 연구되고 있다. 착용센서 시스템은 일반적으로 데이터획득, 데이터전처리, 특징값 추출 그리고 분석 단계로 구성된다. 본 연구는 착용센서 시스템 각 단계별 연구 현황과 착용센서 활용 연구현황을 살펴본다.

Smoke masks have attracted great interests and have been supplied widely for the improvement of the safety during fire evacuation. However, there is not sufficient research on the practical utility, certification status and easy-donning about commercial smoke masks, therefore it is difficult to determine the actual usefulness of the smoke masks. In this study, we conducted a survey on users' perceptions and experiences about the smoke masks, and investigated the status of certification of 54 commercial smoke masks. We also performed donning tests and examined degrees of discomfort for 4 types of the smoke masks. Although 22% of 235 respondents had experienced the smoke masks before the test, and 23% of the respondents did not know the smoke masks, 93% of the respondents expected that the smoke masks could protect users from fire smokes and toxic gases. It was found that 41% of the commercial smoke masks did not certify according to domestic or overseas performance standards. Most certification standards have not effectively regulated maximum wearing time for the smoke masks. Only ASTM E 2952 and KFIS 024 had specific standards for the maximum wearing time of 30 s. As a result of donning tests for 4 types of smoke masks, the wearing time of the hood-type mask and self-contained smoke mask exceeded 30 s, therefore these types of smoke masks might increase the required safe evacuation time. On the other hand, it was also found that short education about the donning could reduce the wearing time by 19% and numbers of improper wearing by 89%.

This paper is for the state of the art of the lightweight protective clothing against the mine, and it covers the preliminary work focused on the appropriate protection, ballistics, convenience, and wearability. It is suggested that the lightweight protective clothing should be fabricated with the laminated materials of high strength woven and non-woven fabrics to reduce the weight and thickness, thus improving the wearability. And partial reinforcement of the protective clothing is necessary to prevent the mortal wound near the important parts of the body without disturbing the arbitrary activity. The composition of the protective clothing should be designed in consideration of easy putting-on and taking-off in addition to easy divesture, which require little motion of the body is in case of serious injury. Additionally, status of the practical technique for high performance and ultra-light hybrid armor material were also described.

HMD (Head Mounted Display)는 머리에 장착하거나 안경처럼 착용하여 사용하는 모니터의 종류를 총칭하며, 최근에는 FMD (Face Mounted Display)라고도 불려진다. HMD는 초기 헬멧 형태에서 최근 안경 형태로 점차 소형화 되고 있으며, HMD를 착용하여 마치 2m 앞 40 inch 이상의 화면을 시청하는 효과를 내는 기술 구현이 가능한 상태이다. 모바일 디스플레이 기기의 소형화를 실현시키는 HMD 기술은 다양한 미디어 기기와 결합하여 바로 눈앞에서 가상현실 및 영화를 효과적으로 즐길 수 있게 할 것이다. 2009년 세계 시장 규모가 약 2000억원으로 예상되는 HMD 시장은 5세대 영상을 구현하는 핵심 기술이 될 것이다.

경제발전과 더불어 교통수단으로 자동차의 이용률은 점차 높아져 가고 있으며, 통계에 의하면 1980년 9월말 기준 전국에 50만대가 운행되고 있다. 이상과 같이 많은 차량이 움직이면 빈번한 교통사고와 더불어 안전을 생각하지 않을 수 없다. 정부에서는 81년 4월 1일부터 고속도로상 에서 안전벨트를 착용하지 않으면 규제하도록 되어 있다. (내무부령으로 도로교통법에서 명시 되어 있음) 본고에서는 충돌시 자동차에 타고 있는 사람을 보호하고, 각국의 안전벨트법 현황과 착용효과, 안전벨트의 종류, 이상적인 요구성능을 검토하여 그 대책을 살펴보고자 한다.

국민소득 증대, 개인 여가문화 확산 등으로 바닷가를 찾는 국민들이 늘어남에 따라 안전사고도 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 연안사고 발생현황을 다각적으로 분석하고, 사고를 예방하고 인명피해를 줄일 수 있는 방법으로 개인안전장비인 구명조끼 착용의 중요성에 대해 연구하였다.
