  • 시대가 산업화ㆍ고속화가 되어 감에 따라 우리의 인체는 전자파를 발생하는 물질에 쉽게 노출되어 있다. 전자파가 우리 인체에 미치는 영향은 입증은 되지 않고 있으나, 그 피해가 속속히 발생, 그에 대한 피해 역시 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이러한 전자파에 대해 선진 각 국에서는 일찍이 국가적인 차원에서의 규제치를 마련하였고, 우리나라에서는 1997년 7월 1일 인체 보호를 위한 전자파 장해 검정수치 설정 및 7개 분야 차폐 의무화를 실시하였다. (중략)

Electrical Conductivity and Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Characteristics of Polyaniline Films with Adding Material (첨가물질에 따른 폴리아닐린 필름의 전기전도도 및 전자기파 차폐특성)

  • Polyaniline free standing films are prepared by various processing. The properties of these films such as electrical conductivity and electromagnetic shielding efficiency are investigated. The conductivities of films doped with a camphorsulfonic acid and a silver are found to be 170/cm and 190S/cm, respectively, indicating metallic behavior. The films added silver, which are casted from hydrochloric acid and dodecylbenzensulfonic acid, show that the electromagnetic shielding efficiency are obtained 42∼52dB and 46∼56dB in the frequency range of 10MHz∼1GHz, respectively. This suggests that the films added silver, which is casted from dodecylbenzensulfonic acid, can be used as electromagnetic shielding material.

  • There are various type of particle accelerators such as Kyoungju 100-MeV proton beam accelerator in Korea. And Korea plans to build large particle accelerator such as heavy ion accelerator and 4th generation light source facility. The accelerated high energy particles of these facility produce 2nd neutron after nuclear reaction with target materials. And then these 2nd neutron activate structural materials and surrounding environment. Accordingly, it is important to consider the activation and shielding calculation on design of facility for safety operation. In this study, we tried to calculate and compare the neutron flux from the interaction $^{la}150$ beam with target material(Cu) according to thickness of iron and concrete shielding material by MCNPX 2.7 with nuclear library JENDL/HE 07and la150. To verify the properties of nuclear library, we compared computational results with experimental value. These results can be used for dose evaluation technology in planning of the shielding of large particle accelerator.

Evaluation of the Utility of Self Produced MRI Radiofrequency Shielding Material (자체 제작한 자기공명영상 고주파 차폐체의 유용성 평가)

  • This paper proposes a better shielding method to over sampling technique. The new method uses aluminum foil for RF shielding. As a result of the phantom test, when the over-sampling technique was applied, the aliasing artifact was reduced by about 94% compared to before the application, and the case where the aluminum shielding band was applied was also reduced by about 92% compared to before application. In addition, the scan time also increased by more than 3 times in the case of the over-sampling technique, while it was found that there was no change from before the application of the aluminum shielding band Therefore, it was confirmed that the shielding band using aluminum foil can effectively remove aliasing artifacts without increasing the scan time..

Analysis of Electromagnetic Wave Shielding Effectiveness from Electrical Conductivity of Metallized Conductive Sheets (전도성 금속 피복재의 전기전도도에 의한 전자파 차폐효과 분석)

  • As an alternative evaluation method of electromagnetic shielding properties, the material parameters are considered in determining the qualitative value of shielding effectiveness. The specimens are metallized nylon fabrics with the thickness of about 0.1 mm and the electrical conductivities in the range from 6.4$\times$10~2.4$\times$10(sup)5 mhos/m. On the basis of shielding theory, the shielding effectiveness (which is a sum of reflection loss and absorption loss) has been determined from the material parameters of the barrier sheets. For the conductive fabrics, the dominant shield mechanism is predicted to be reflection loss, which shows an increasing function of electrical conductivity. Comparing these theoretical value with the directly measured surface impedances, the error range is found to be within 10 dB, which demonstrates that the proposed material-parameters method can be a convenient way to determine the electromagnetic shielding properties.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the multilayer structure with lossy metamaterials using ABCD Matrix method to get the transmission characteristics. Compared to the recursive method which cannot be used to analyze the lossy characteristics of multilayer structure because of its complexity, we used the ABCD matrix method is easy to apply because of its matrix chain concepts for arbitrary number of multilayer structure and lossy material. To verify the results of this paper, we used both for multilayer dielectric and metamaterial, respectively, and obtained the same results. Multilayer structure with lossy metamaterial showed minimized ripple and broadband transmission compared to dielectric multilayered structure. This can be used in various applications as antenna radome and shielding material, etc.

  • Epoxy resin-type neutron shielding materials, KNS(Kaeri Neutron Shield)-101, KNS-102, and KNS-103 have been fabricated to be used in spent fuel shipping cask. The base material is epoxy resin, and polypropylene, aluminium hydroxide, and boron carbide are added. These shielding materials offer good fluidity at processing, which makes it possible to apply this resin shield to complicated geometric shapes such as shipping cask. The shielding property of these shielding materials for shipping cask for loading 28 PWR spent fuel assemblies has been evaluated. ANISN code is used to evaluate the shielding property of the shipping cask with the thickness of the three neutron shielding materials greater than 10 cm. As a result of analysis, the maximum calculated dose rate at the radial surface of the cask is determined to be $300{\mu}Sv/h$ and the maximum calculated dose rate at 100 cm from the cask is $97{\mu}Sv/h$. These dose rates remain within allowable values specified in related regulations.

  • 방사선 투시조영 촬영 시 사용되는 방호복의 차폐효율 증가와 경량화는 오랜 시간 연구 대상이 되었다. 이러한 방호복의 질적 향상을 위하여 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. Apron의 규격인 납 당량 0.25mm에 해당하는 투과선량은 5.2%로 나타났으며, 시료 Sn, Ni, Ti, Cu의 방사선 차폐 효율은 Sn이 가장 높게 나타났다. 증착시료 Sn+Pb 방법에서는 Sn 0.18mm와 Pb 0.1mm, Pb+Sn 방법에서는 Pb 0.1mm와 Sn 0.36mm에서 Apron의 규격인 납 0.25mm 두께로 나타났다. 증착시료 Sn+Pb는 Apron의 규격인 0.25mm 납 당량보다 차폐효율이 높고, 면적당 무게가 가벼워 방호복 물질로 적합한 것으로 사료된다.
