  • 전해동박(Electrodeposited Copper Foil)은 전기도금 공정으로 제조되는 얇은 구리 포일로서, 주로 TV, PC, 스마트폰 등 전자제품의 인쇄회로기판에서 전기신호를 전달하는 회로소재로 사용이 되며, 최근에는 모바일 IT, 전기자동차, 지능형 로봇, 그린 에너지 산업 등에서 필수적으로 적용되는 소재로 이용이 급증하고 있는 핵심소재이다. FPCB/PCB용 전해동박은 최근 휴대폰, PC와 더불어 전 세계적으로 열풍이 불고 있는 스마트폰, 태블릿 등의 최신 전자 모바일기기의 보급이 가속화됨에 따라 해당 제품들의 다기능화, 고집적화가 진행되고 있으며, 5G 이후의 Mobile 기기를 중심으로 하는 차세대 전자기기의 소재 분야의 선점을 위해서 광폭(600 mm 이상) 제품 제조가 가능한 전해 동박으로 다양한 표면처리의 $18{\sim}2{\mu}m$ 급의 얇은 두께를 갖는 경제성이 확보된 고특성 동박이 필요로 되는 상황이다. 이와 더불어 PCB/FPCB에서 요구하는 동박기술의 소개 및 현재 연구 개발 Trend를 소개하고자 한다.

Fundamental study on the technology and application for the Next Generation Digital Textbook (차세대 디지털교과서를 위한 기반기술 및 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The digital textbook project which embarked by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has focused on experiments and practices from the school designated by the government. However the previous research about digital textbook provides static interaction models and teaching-learning models analogous to web-based learning based desktop PC even the framework of the digital textbook is based of Tablet PC. This paper provides learning and teaching models for next generation digital textbook which based digital inking techinques for sketcth interface and AR(augmented reality) interactions between teacher and learner. The proposed method of this paper is applied to educational contents and we found positive effect which is supported by statistical experiments. The results of this study in the future and the future development of digital textbooks in effect will be an effective development plan.

Efficiency Analysis of Government Budget to HRD Program in the field of Information Technology : IT Research Center Case (정보통신분야 HRD사업에 대한 정부예산 지원의 효율성 분석 : 대학의 IT연구센터를 중심으로)

  • This paper analyze the DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) efficiency of government budget to HRD program(ITRC) and correlation and regression between its inputs and outputs in the field of information technology. First, empirical results show that the relationship between the supporting period of government budget and scientific research & HRD outputs is respectively irrelevant. Second, another finding is that the relationship between government budget and HRD output is positive. Finally, DEA efficiency analysis implicates that SW/digital contents, digital TV, information security, intelligence robot, next generation PC, next generation mobile telecommunication, home network, mathematics, IT SoC are more efficient than any other technology fields.

  • Third-generation (3G) devicesare next-generation devices that allow the use of intelligent services and applications through the Internet of Things (IoT). As the market forexisting smart devices like smartphones and tablet PCs enters the stage of stagnation, the world is now focusing on 3G devices, parts, and services. This study is intended to measure the user's benefits from the various attributes of 3G devices by applying an economic valuation method. For this purpose, the conjoint analysis method was applied, which is one of the representative valuation methods. To apply conjoint analysis, the following attributes of 3G devicesare considered: mode of use, power efficiency, life care, and price. By applying the mixed logit model, the marginal willingness-to-pay(WTP) for each attribute was derived. The results are statistically significant. Respondents showed a high preference or complete flexibility in the mode of use attribute. And they were also found to have WTP for improvements in the life care attribute. The implications and quantitative results of this study are expected to be useful for policies and strategies in the 3G device market.

  • A wearable computer has appeared as the next generation computer with the development of embedded system technique in our country, although it has not been applicable well since the hardware and software capabilities are limited for multimedia service. We have implemented a MPEG-4 video player to provide with such multimedia application service using the embedded systems. This paper illustrates the development of MPEG-4 video player operating on the wearable computer named WPS(Wearable Personal Station), the wristwatch PC developed at ETRI.

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대의 핵심 기술 분야라고 불리는 가상현실(Virtual Realityl VR)/증강현실(Augmented Reality; AR) 기술은 그 동안 IT 시장을 주도해 온 스마트폰 시장이 포화상태에 도달함에 따라 주요 IT기업들의 차세대 비즈니스로 떠오르고 있으며, 미디어 플랫폼인 VR에 대한 연구 또한 계속해서 진행되고 있다. 또한 최근 들어 디스플레이 해상도가 높아지고 PC의 성능이 좋아지면서 많은 회사에서 VR 콘텐츠에 대응하여 VR기기를 출시하고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 VR에 대한 호환성 테스팅 방법은 제대로 제시되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 연구를 통해서 효과적이고 효율적인 호환성 테스트 방법을 제시한다.

Relative Speed based Task Distribution Algorithm for Smart Device Cluster (스마트 디바이스로 구성된 클러스터를 위한 상대속도 기반 작업 분배 기법)

  • Smart devices such as smart phones, smart TVs, and smart pads have become essential devices in recent years. As the popularity and demand grows, the performance of smart devices is also getting better and users are dealing with a lot of things such as education and business using smart devices instead of desktop. However, smart devices that still have poor performance compared to desktop, even with improved performance, have difficulty running high performance applications due to limited resources. In this paper, we propose a load balancing algorithm applying the characteristics of smart devices to overcome the resource limitations of devices. in order to verify the algorithm, we implemented the algorithm after adding the distributed processing system service in Android platform. After constructing the cluster on the smart device, various experiments were conducted. Through the analysis of the test results, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm efficiently improves the overall distributed processing performance by effectively aggregating different amounts of computing resources in heterogeneous smart devices.

  • It is only 2 ~ 3 years in the interior to be introduced as a Ubiquitous era after going through mainframe, PC and internet era on account of the advent of computer. This thesis intends to present a model device of an epoch-making cash management system using the RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) Tag and EPC (Electronic Product Code) Platform which are core technologies of the Ubiquitous Computing on the assumption that cable and wireless internet is constructed in university. Also this sets up a purpose to minimize the administrative procedure as well as the waste of time, people and cost which are problems of the cash management system operating now. Therefore as a research project hereafter, it will be able to present an imporvement device about the problems which cannot solve these days through the model of the proposing cash management system when the standardization, normalization and commercialization of advanced IT department are accomplished.

유리 기판 위에 형성된 랜덤한 분포를 가지는 나노 구조물과 OLED 소자로의 적용 가능성

  • 특정한 유기 물질에 전류를 인가했을 때 발광을 하는 특성을 이용한 Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED)는 뛰어난 색재현성, 적은 전력소모, 간단한 제조공정, 넓은 시야각 등으로 인해 PDP, LCD, LED에 이은 차세대 디스플레이 소자로 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 하지만 OLED는 각기 다른 굴절률을 가지는 다층구조로 되어있어 실질적으로 소자 밖으로 나오는 빛은 원래 생성된 빛의 20% 정도 밖에 되지 않는다. 이러한 광 손실을 줄이기 위해 Photonic Crystal (PC)이나 마이크로 렌즈 어레이(MLA) 부착 등과 같이 특정한 크기를 갖는 주기적인 나노 구조물을 이용한 광추출 효율 상승 방법은 특정 파장의 빛에서만 효과가 있는 한계가 있었으며 고가의 공정과정을 거쳐야 했으므로 OLED 소자의 가격 향상에 일조하였다. 이의 해결을 위해 본 연구는 유리기판 위에 랜덤한 분포를 가지는 나노 구조물 제작 공정법을 제안한다. 먼저 유리기판 위에 스퍼터로 금속 박막을 입혀 이를 Rapid thermal annealing (RTA) 공정을 이용하여 랜덤한 분포의 Island를 가지는 마스크를 제작하였다. 그 후 플라즈마 식각을 이용하여 유리기판에 나노 구조물을 형성하였고 기판 위에 남아있는 마스크는 Ultrasonic cleaning을 이용하여 제거하였다. 제작된나노구조물은 200~300 nm의 높이와 약 200 nm 폭을 가지고 있다. 제작된 유리기판의 OLED 소자로의 적용가능성을 알아보기 위한 광학특성 조사결과는 300~900 nm의 파장영역에서 맨유리와 거의 비슷한 수직 투과율을 보이면서 최대 50%정도의 Diffusion 비율을 나타내고 있고 임계각(41도) 이상의각도에서 인가된 빛의 투과율에 대해서도 향상된 결과를 보여주고 있다. 제안된 공정의 전체과정 기존의 PC, MLA 등의 공정에 비해 난이도가 쉽고 저가로 진행이 가능하며 추후 OLED 소자에 적용될 시 대량생산에 적합한 후보로 보고 있다.

A Route Selection Scheme for WLAN Off-Loading in EPC Network with a Cloud Server (Cloud 서버를 포함한 EPC 망에서 WLAN 오프로딩 경로 선택)

  • There coexist various access network for mobile terminals, such as mobile phones, smart phones, and tablet PC, in mobile and wireless network. In these circumstance, the network traffic overload unexpected causes the service degradation or discontinuity. To solve this problem, we consider a off-loading route selection by a cloud server which monitors traffic volume and selects an appropriate route. With our proposed scheme, it is possible for the EPC network with untrusted WLAN access networks to operate efficiently to a trusted service level. Also, an optimal handover with satisfying service requirements could be achieved by the proposed offload scheme.
