  • It becomes easy and generalized to track the cellular phone users and vehicles according to the Progress of wireless telecommunication, the spread of network, and the miniaturization of terminal devices. It has been constantly studied to provide location based services to furnish suitable services depending on the positions of customers. Various vehicle tracking and management systems are developed to utilize and manage the vehicle locations to relieve the congestion of traffic and to smooth transportation. However the designed previous work can not evaluated in real world, because most of previous work is only designed not implemented and it is developed for simple model to handle a point, a line, a polygon object. Therefore, we design a moving object query language and implement a vehicle management system to search the positions and trajectories of vehicles and to analyze the cost of transportation effectively. The designed query language based on a SQL can be utilized to get the trajectories between two specific places, the departure time, the arrival time of vehicles, and the predicted uncertainty positions, etc. In addition, the proposed moving object query language for managing transportation vehicles is useful to analyze the cost of trajectories in a variety of moving object management system containing transportation.

  • Map databases for CNS (Car Navigation System) can be accessed quickly and compressed efficiently due to that these are usually recorded as in a PSF (Physical Storage Format). However, it is difficult to create and manage data storage based on a file-system. To solve these problems, DBMS needs to be combined with spatial data management. Therefore, we developed an embedded DBMS with which to store data and conduct quick searches in CNS. Spatial data could be easily managed and accessed using the compression method, Multi-Link, spatial index, and spatial division. In the result, the proposed embedded DBMS searched quickly and stably supported data management. If synchronization is applied in DBMS, it is expected to utilize the advantages of an embedded DBMS.

  • This is concerned with the technology to monitor the vehicle operation, failure and disorder by using WiBro portable device. More precisely, the technology makes it possible that the information collection device is connected to both ECU(Electronic Control Unit) which is the device for controlling engine, transmission, brake, air-bag, etc that are connected to in-vehicle network and OBD-II connector that is for data collection from various sensors. In addition, with a WiBro portable device (cell phone, PDA, PMP, UMPC, etc). equipped with a vehicle diagnostic programs, information for operation, failure and malfunction can be obtained and analyzed in real-time, and alarm is alerted when the vehicle is in abnormal status, which makes the early reactions to the status. Furthermore, the collected data can be sent through WiBro network to the server managed by the company specialized in managing the vehicles, thus the technology could help the drivers who have less knowledge about their auto-vehicles have safe and economic driving. There is always a possibility of malfunction due to various types of noise that are caused by wring-harness when the device is wired-connected. In this research, in order to overcome this problem, we propose a system configuration that can do monitoring and diagnosis with a device for collecting data from vehicle and a personal WiBro device. Also, we performed research on data acquisition and interlock for the system defined by the definition for information and data sharing platform.

  • 최근 스마트폰 태블릿PC 등 모바일 기기에 활용된 정보통신기술이 차량용 인포메이션 시스템 개발에도 넓게 활용되고 있다. 음성인식 기술을 이용해 차량을 조작하는 일은 그 대표적인 예라 할 수 있다. 지엔에스티(주)는 이러한 차량용 음성인식 마이크 모듈을 제조 판매하는 전문기업이다. 2009년 설립된 신생기업이지만, 앞선 생산설비의 구축과 끊임없는 연구개발을 통해 국내 차량용 음성인식 마이크 모듈 시장을 장악했다. 실제로 이곳 제품들은 국내 최고 자동차 기업인 현대 기아자동차에 보급되면서 기술력을 인정받고 있다. 이처럼 지엔에스티(주)가 짧은 역사에도 불구하고 최고의 제품을 만들며 독보적인 위상을 구축할 수 있었던 비결은 무엇일까. 이 같은 물음에 이곳의 모든 관계자들은 사업장 내 안전이 먼저 확보됐었기에 가능한 일이었다고 입을 모아 말한다. 2009년 설립된 이후 단 한건의 안전사고가 발생하지 않았을 만큼 철저한 안전관리가 전개되고 있다. 근로자의 안전과 건강을 생각하며 사람 중심의 안전관리를 실천하고 있는 지엔에스티(주)를 찾아가봤다.

  • 소방차량은 긴급차량으로 화재출동 시 항상 가용 할 수 있는 체계로 관리 및 운영되어 한다. 하지만 그간 외국에 비해 우리나라 소방차량의 관리 및 운영에 있어서 적지 않은 문제점들이 제기되어 왔다. 그간 화재출동 및 현장 안전교육 등에서의 사고로 인명피해가 있었고, 그에 대한 지적과 개선의 목소리가 계속되어져 왔다. 최근에 관계기관으로 부터 많은 관심을 가지고 있으나 아직 넘어야 할 문제점들 역시 적지 않다고 본다. 따라서 이러한 문제점들을 현장상황 및 소방관들의 설문 그리고 자동차 전문가들을 통하여 효과적인 소방차량의 운영과 관리 방법 등에 대해 연구하고자 한다.

  • Recently, Logistics industry has emerged a new u-logistics paradigm combines USN / RFID technology. In this paper offers a vehicle history Web-based logistics management system based on the u-logistics paradigm. The design of this system is considered all events processes as a form of recycling and entire system is to modeling based UML of object oriented. Also It was undergone some process to make sure by logistics vehicles identified that RFID based was identified vehicle logistics. To identify logistics vehicle based RFID, identified the logistics vehicles is a process that will determine. The implementation method designed the interface based web which uses in the manager to C/S methods, consideration of the mobility of the system user implements the user GUI based PDA. As well as, In this paper was separated customer, manufacturer, distributor, administrator, drivers, respectively and focuses to raise a system reusability which is implementation by separately for each feature.

  • The facilities using LP gas in camping vehicles, which are exposed to safety problems due to the proliferation of domestic leisure culture, are not subject to statutory inspection so, effective safety management measures are needed because the subject or method of safety management is ambiguous. In this study, we tried to propose the safety management measures through the deduction of representative types of camping vehicles, research on the actual condition of LPG facilities in camping vehicles and investigation and review of relevant regulations. Through the results of this study, we expect to contribute to the improvement of the safety management efficiency and safety of facilities using LP gas in domestic camping vehicles.

A Study on Managing High-Speed Railway Links and Rolling Stocks Based on the Level of Service (서비스수준(LOS)을 감안한 고속철도 노선 및 차량관리방안)

  • In this paper, the level of service (LOS) is defined for high-speed railway links and rolling stocks. Based on this LOS, how to manage high-speed railway facility is also suggested. The LOS is divided into 6 levels from A to F. The measurement of effectiveness (MOE) for railway links is derived from the relationship between a total delay time and a railway link utilization ratio. Another MOE, volume over capacity (V/C), is also proposed. On the other hand, the LOS for high-speed railway rolling stocks is based on the density of people in a rolling stock. Above all, LOS D is defined to the total number of seats. Then, LOS A is 50% of the LOS D, LOS B is 70% of the LOS D, LOS C is 90% of the LOS D and LOS D~F is defined as the maximum seats and standing people at the level of each. Finally, a method to manage high-speed railway links and rolling stocks is proposed in order to keep the level of service at the target by the government.

Developments of Parking Control System Using Color Information and Fuzzy C-menas Algorithm (컬러 정보와 퍼지 C-means 알고리즘을 이용한 주차관리시스템 개발)

  • In this paper, we proposes the car plate recognition and describe the parking control system using the proposed car plate recognition algorithm. The car plate recognition system using color information and fuzzy c-means algorithm consists of the extraction part of a car plate from a car image and the recognition part of characters in the extracted car plate. This paper eliminates green noise from car image using the mode smoothing and extract plate region using green and white information of RGB color. The codes of extracted plate region is extracted by histogram based approach method and is recognized by fuzzy c-means algorithm. For experimental, we tested 80 car images. We shows that the proposed extraction method is better than that from the color information of RGB and HSI, respectively. So, we can know that the proposed car plate recognition method using fuzzy c-means algorithm was very efficient. We develop the parking control system using the proposed car plate recognition method, which showed performance improvement by the experimental results.
