  • 차량의 조종안정성을 해석하기 위해서는 차륜과 현가장치에 의한 비선형성과 조향장치의 동특성 등을 고려한 3차원 차량 모델을 이용하여 정상상태와 과도상태에서의 조향입력에 대한 차량 주 행역학을 해석하여야 한다. 승차감, 조향성능, 주행안정성 등의 동적성능과 현가장치의 특성관 계를 규명하기위하여 3차원 차량모델에 의한 해석과 설계변수에의 민감도 해석을 수행할 필요가 있다.

A Comprehensive Method to Impute Vehicle Trajectory Data Collected in Wireless Traffic Surveillance Environments (무선통신기반 교통정보수집체계하에서의 차량주행궤적정보 결측치 보정방안)

  • Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) enables road users to enhance efficiency of their trips in a variety of traffic conditions. As a significant part of ITS, information communication technology among vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure has been being developed to upgrade current traffic data collection technology through location-based traffic surveillance systems. A wider and detailed range of traffic data can be acquired with ease by the technology. However, its performance level falls with environmental impediments such as large vehicles, buildings, harsh weather, which often bring about wireless communication failure. For imputation of vehicle trajectory data discontinued by the failure, several potential existing methods were reviewed and a new method to complement them was devised. AIMSUN API(Application Programming Interface) software was utilized to simulate vehicle trajectories data and missing vehicle trajectories data was randomly generated for the verification of the method. The method was proven to yield more accurate and reliable traffic data than the existing ones.

  • The objective of this research is to design the roller rig for the maintenances of high-speed train bogies operated on the tracks. Roller rigs have been studied and researched to develop the faster, safer and more efficient railway system. It is to reduce the time of testing vehicles and to make as wide a range of tests available as possible. Therefore, it is very important issue to check and evaluate the dynamic responses of high-speed train after several years of operation. This paper presents a study on the conceptual design and dynamic model to develop the roller rig for the routine maintenances of high-speed trains bogies with maximum speed of 350km/h. ANSYS was used to analyze the wheel/roller's contact behavior of driving axle and ADAMS was used to verify and analyze the dynamic behaviors of roller rig.

Verified 20-car Model of High-speed Train for Dynamic Response Analysis of Railway Bridges (검증된 고속철도 차량의 20량편성 정밀모형에 의한 철도교량의 동적응답 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to develop a 3-dimensional dynamic analysis model, capable of considering the interaction between vehicles and bridges more accurately. The dynamic analysis model is developed with the high-speed train (KTX) and a 2-span continuous prestressed concrete box girder bridge with a double track. The 20-car model is developed using the moving vehicle model for the regular trainset. Three-dimensional frame elements are used for the bridge model. Using the developed models, a dynamic behavior analysis program is coded. The analytical results are compared with the dynamic field test results and found to be valid to yield quite accurate dynamic responses. Based on the results of this study, the hybrid model, made up of the moving vehicle model for the heaviest power car and the moving force model for the other cars, is quite simple and effective without loosing the accuracy that much. Under the coincidence condition of two trains traveling with resonance velocity in the opposite directions, it is necessary to check not only the dynamic responses of the bridge with one-way traffic but those with two- way coincidence.

  • In the design process of dynamic characteristics of a railway vehicle, demand for analysis, testing and estimation methods of running stability are increasing as railway vehicle speed is increasing. Critical speed tests and estimation have been carried out using computer simulation or special test facilities, like roller rigs, because real track testing at critical speed is very dangerous. This paper introduces a test and assessment method for critical speed and estimates the validity using several roller rig tests. The test results show that it is difficult to estimate the critical speed using safety and instability assessment method in UIC 518, but that there is good agreement between the reduction of the equivalent damping ratio and the critical speed.

Analysis of Autonomous Vehicles Risk Cases for Developing Level 4+ Autonomous Driving Test Scenarios: Focusing on Perceptual Blind (Lv 4+ 자율주행 테스트 시나리오 개발을 위한 자율주행차량 위험 사례 분석: 인지 음영을 중심으로)

  • With the advancement of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, autonomous driving on real roads has become feasible. However, there are challenges in achieving complete autonomy due to perceptual blind areas, which occur when the AV's sensory range or capabilities are limited or impaired by surrounding objects or environmental factors. This study aims to analyze AV accident patterns and safety issues of perceptual blind area that may occur in urban areas, with the goal of developing test scenarios for Level 4+ autonomous driving. It utilized AV accident data from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to compare accident patterns and characteristics between AVs and conventional vehicles based on activation status of autonomous mode. It also categorized AV disengagement data to identify types and real-world cases of disengagements caused by perceptual blind areas. The analysis revealed that AVs exhibit different accident types due to their safe driving maneuvers, and three types of perceptual blind area scenarios were identified. The findings of this study serve as crucial foundational data for developing Level 4+ autonomous driving test scenarios, enabling the design of efficient strategies to mitigate perceptual blind areas in various scenarios. This, in turn, is expected to contribute to the effective evaluation and enhancement of AV driving safety on real roads.

  • 본 논문에서는 1대의 CCD카메라로 주행 중 차선과 선행차량을 인식하고 선행차량까지의 거리를 실시간으로 계측하는 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 도로와 카메라간의 기하구조를 분석하여 사영행렬을 추출하였고, 주행 중 차간 거리를 실시간으로 계측하는데 이용하였다. 또한 차선 인식을 위해서 Hough Transform을 적용하여 처리시간을 단축하였다. 도로상의 장애물은 인식된 주행차선 내로 한정하였고 도로 영상에서 수평에지성분을 구한 후 히스토그램 투영을 적용하여 장애물을 검출하였다. 거리가 점차 멀어질수록 계측오차가 증가함을 볼 수 있었으나 기존의 방법에 비하여 주행 중에 운전자가 장애물을 판단하여 제동을 취할 수 있는 정도의 유효한 오차특성을 보였다.

Frequency Shaped Optimal Control of Semi-active Suspension System Using an MR Damper (자기유변유체를 이용한 반능동형 현가장치의 Frequency shaped 최적 제어)

  • An MR(Magneto-Rheological) fluids damper is designed and applied to vibration suppression of a 1/4 car model. The damping constant of MR damper changes according to input current which is controlled in a semi-active way. Several control algorithms are compared in simulations and experiments. The advantage of the proposed Frequency shaped LQ control is that passenger comfort is emphasized in the range of 4~8Hz and driving safety is emphasized around the resonance frequency of unsprung mass.
