Risk Analysis of Travelling Vehicles by Cross Wind (횡풍에 의한 주행 차량 위험도 해석)

  • Travelling vehicles on roads may slip or overturn due to strong cross wind. This paper presents the path deviation equation and the overturning equation of vehicle, and the process of evaluating the cross wind risk. Case studies for cars and trucks are carried out. It explains the mechanism why the deviation occurs according to the types of vehicles. It shall help to prepare the measures for reducing the risk of travelling vehicles in high wind speeds.

  • 본 논문에서는 철도차량의 능동조향을 위한 고전 PI 제어기 및 퍼지 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능을 서로 비교하였다. 철도차량에서 능동조향은 곡선부 주행 시 발생되는 승차감 저하 및 차륜/레일의 마모와 소음을 줄이고, 고속주행을 위한 조향성능 및 주행안정성을 확보하기 위한 제어기술이다. 논문에서는 차량 1량을 모델로 하여 측정된 휠-레일의 횡변위(Lateral Displacement) 정보를 토대로 휠의 요모멘트를 제어하는 전략을 사용하여 제어기를 설계하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 제어기 응답 특성을 비교하였다.

A Neural Network Model of Electric Differential System for Electric Vehicle (전지자동차용 전자식 차동 시스템의 신경망 모델)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기자동차에 사용되는 전자식 차동 시스템의 신경망 모델을 제안한다. 차량이 곡선도로를 따라 주행할 경우 내측 바퀴와 외측 바퀴의 회전속도가 서로 달라야 진동이나 뒤틀림 없이 완만한 선회 주행을 할 수 있다. 전기자동차는 그 구조적 특성상 각각의 바퀴가 독립된 구동원을 갖는다. 이 때문에 일반 엔진 차량의 기어식 차동장치를 대신할 전자식 차동장치가 요구된다. 이러한 차동장치는 차량의 구조뿐만 아니라 차량의 주요 파라미터인 조향각 및 속도에 따라서 비선형적인 관계를 가지고 있어서 해석하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 이와 같은 비선형적인 관계 모델을 학습 능력을 가진 신경망에 의하여 모델링 함으로써 제어에 적용할 수 있다. 이를 실현하기 위해 제작한 전기자동차로 곡선도로를 주행하여 다양한 곡률과 주행속도에 따른 내측 외측 바퀴의 회전속도 데이터를 획득하고, 데이터의 비선형 특성을 고려한 차동 속도 제어기의 구조를 설계한다. 이 제어기에 적합한 모델은 신경망을 이용하여 실측 데이터를 학습시킴으로써 차동기능을 수행할 수 있는 제어기를 구현한다.

  • 항만용 자율주행 야드트럭운행 환경은 무신호교차로 주행, 낮은 GPS정확도, 악천후상황주행, 이송 컨테이너 위치변경등과 같이 일반 도로의 센서기반의 자율주행차량 운행과 다르게 매우 복잡하다. 이를 위해서는 항만내 특성을 반영한 실시간 위치, 속도 등에 대한 정확한 인식이 중요한 요소이다. 이를 위해서 센서융합과 V2X기반의 복합적인 항만용 실시간 로컬 동적지도 (Local Dynamic Map) 생성 및 V2X기반의 협력측위를 통하여서 기존의 독립적인 자율주행차량의 위치 인식보다 더 개선된 고정밀 위치 인식 정보추출이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 복합적인 항만용 동적지도 생성관리시스템의 설계 방안 및 협력측위 기술 적용 방안을 제시하고 이를 활용한 항만 구역내 자율주행차량 및 모든 화물 이송장비들의 실시간 위치 인식뿐만 아니라 이동체의 사전 충돌예측 및 비상정지 안전 제어 가능한 V2X 기반의 인텔리젼스 한 3차원 관제시스템 설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Analysis of Moving Vehicle Load Distribution of Curved Steel Box Girder Bridges considering Various Support Conditions (곡선교의 받침특성에 따른 주행차량하중분배 특성분석)

  • A 3-D numerical model, which could demonstrate the static and dynamic responses of a curved bridge more precisely with the moving vehicles, was developed The dynamic response induced by the centrifugal rolling motion of vehicle was identified according to the variations of the partial grade and the curvature of the slab. Dynamic characteristics of the curved bridge with the moving vehicle were analyzed under the condition of support types and two different support systems. Parametric studies were conducted to compare the efficiency of load distribution in the curved bridge. In general, while the vehicle was crossing the curved bridge, negative reaction occurred in the inside of the girder. The final result showed that the support system located outside the girder was more advantageous than other systems, and the characteristics of load distributions differed from the others in the various conditions of support systems.

Characteristic Analysis on Drivers' Glance Durations with Different Running Speeds on the Expressway (고속국도에서의 주행속도 차이에 따른 운전자 평균 주시시간 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Drivers can receive diverse types of traffic information through a number of methods. However, there are not enough information services considering human factors. In this study, as a basic research on human factors of the drivers, characteristic analysis on drivers' mean glance (fixation) durations with different running speeds on the expressway was performed under diverse running environments. To control variables other than running speeds, running environments were categorized into 4 types: 'daytime running without preceding vehicles', 'daytime running with preceding vehicles', 'nighttime running without preceding vehicles', and 'nighttime running with preceding vehicles'. Furthermore, ANOVA Test was used to divide speed groups. As a result of performing a multiple comparison to compare differences in glance behavior per each group, the road item and the preceding vehicles item showed an increase in mean glance durations as the speed increased, while the front view showed a decrease in mean glance durations. It was confirmed that the road sign showed no statistically significant difference in glance durations as the speed varied.

  • At the current stage of a semi-autonomous vehicle, there are situations in which the vehicle has to request take-over control to the driver quickly. However, current self-driving cars use only simple messages and warning sounds to notify drivers when handing over control, so they do not adequately convey considerations of individual characteristics or explanations of various emergent situations. This study investigated how visual and auditory information and the efficacy of drivers in self-driving cars can improve efficient take-over requests between the car and the driver. We found that there were significant differences in driver's cognitive load, reliability, safety, usability, and usefulness according to the combination of three visual and auditory information provided in the experiment of the take-over request situation. The results of this study are expected to help design self-driving vehicles that can communicate more safely and efficiently with drivers in urgent control transition situations.

Analysis of Automotive HMI Characteristics through On-road Driving Research (실차 주행 연구를 통한 차량별 HMI 특성 분석)

  • With the appearance of self-driving cars and electric cars, the automobile industry is rapidly changing. In the midst of these changes, HMI studies are becoming more important as to how the driver obtains safety and convenience with controlling the vehicle. This study sought to understand how automobile manufacturers understand the driving situation, and how they define and limit driver interaction. For this, prior studies about HMI were reviewed and 15 participants performed an on-road study to drive vehicles from five manufacturers with using their interfaces. The results of the study confirmed that buttons and switches that are easily controlled by the user while driving were different from manufacturer to manufacturer. And there are some buttons that are more intensively controlled and others that are difficult to control while driving. It was able to derive 'selection and concentration' from Audi's vehicle, 'optimization of the driving ' from BMW's, 'simple and minimize' from Benz's vehicle, 'remove the manual distraction' from the vehicle of Lexus, and 'visual stability' from KIA's vehicle as the distinctive keywords for the HMI. This shows that each manufacturer has a different definition and interpretation of the driver's driving control area. This study has a distinct value in that it has identified the characteristics of vehicle-specific HMI in actual driving conditions, which is not apparent in appearance. It is expected that this research approach can be useful to see differences in interaction through actual driving despite changes in driving environment such as vehicle platooning and self-driving technology.

  • Track irregularities is one of key factors influencing running behavior of train. In order to ensure safety and ride comfort, it is highly important that relationship between track irregularity and running behavior of vehicle is identified and the criteria for track irregularities is adequately established. Numerical analysis was conducted to investigate influence of surface on running behavior of KTX and various wavelength and amplitude of surface were considered in numerical analysis. Derailment, lateral load, bogie acc., body acc. of numerical analysis results were investigated to evaluate the effect on track profile on safety and ride comfort of KTX.

  • 본 논문은 근거리 차량간통신(IVC)에서 첨단차량도로시스템(AVHS)의 플래툰 주행에 적합한 One-Ray Rician 채널 모델을 적용하여 간섭신호에 강한 장점을 지닌 600Hz 밀리미터파를 에서 패킷 오율 특성을 분석하였다. 차후에 사용자의 욕구 증대에 따른 멀티미디어 서비스를 만족시키기 위해서 Convolution 부호화 기법과 MRC 다이버시티 수신 기법을 동시에 적용하였으며 그에 따른 DS-CDMA/QPSK System의 패킷 오율 특성을 분석하였다.
