A study on Greenhouse gas Emission Characteristics of Conventional Passenger and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (승용 및 하이브리드 자동차 온실가스 배출특성 연구)

  • Automotive manufacturers are applying technologies for greenhouse gas reduction such as vehicle weight reduction, engine downsizing, direct injection technology, variable valves and transmission performance improvement to achieve the targets for enhanced greenhouse gas and fuel consumption efficiency. In this paper, compared and analyzed greenhouse emissions according to engine capacity, engine displacement, curb weight and sales volume of hybrid and internal combustion engine passenger vehicles. Hybrid emit 32~39% less greenhouse gas than internal combustion engines through the combined mode test method. Hybrid electric vehicle's curb weight was about 7% heavier on average for the same engine displacement, while greenhouse gas was about 36% lower. It was confirmed that in order to reduce the emission of pollutants of greenhouse gases as well as the air pollutants, it is necessary to expand the supply of eco-friendly vehicles.

  • The expense Our country's land logistics system is becoming backlog day by day. The greenhouse gas which it discharges specially from the vehicle causes a ecocide and traffic expense to make. The traffic energy curtailment which the government enforces during that time and environment-friendly green goods policy lost the effect. Therefore, This research propose the car-ferri network which is the most effective logistics system substitutes the land logistics system. This research will contribute improving the north and south logistics network of Pusan and Seoul region and will be able to reduce a various goods expense.

  • LPG direct injection (LPDi) technology is a method of improving the weaknesses of existing LPG vehicles by directly injection into the combustion chamber. This study was conducted on the comparison of emissions and fuel efficiency performance of the engine and vehicle by applying LPDi technology. The LPDi hybrid engine's maximum output and maximum torque were measured at an equivalent level of less than 1% compared to conventional gasoline fuel. The fuel amount was corrected using the LCU controller, and the THC, CO, and NOx emissions were reduced to 90% in the operating range of the three-way catalyst through air-fuel ratio control. The analysis of THC+NOx and CO emissions in FTP-75 (CVS-75) driving mode satisfied the US LEV III SULEV30 regulation.

  • Gas sensors has been used very differently that depending on following purposes; Automotive (exhaust gas, fuel mixture gas, oxygen, particulates), agriculture / food industry (fresh, stored, CO2, humidity, NH3, nitrogen oxide gas, organic gas, toxic gas emitted from pesticides and insecticides), industrial / medical (chemical gas, hydrogen, oxygen and toxic gases), military (chemical weapon), environmental measurements (CO and other air pollution consisting of sulfur and nitrogen gas), residential (LNG, LPG, butane, indoor air, humidity). The types of industrial toxic substances are known about 700 species and many of these exist in gaseous form under normal conditions. he multi-gas detection sensors will be developed for casualties that detect the most important and find easy three kinds of gases in marine plant; carbon dioxide(CO2), carbon(CO), ammonia(NH3). Package block consists of gas sensing device minor ingredient, rf front end, zigbee chip. Develope interworking technology between the sensor and zigbee chip inside a package. Conduct a performance test through test jig about prototype zigbee sensor module with rf output power and unwanted emission test. This research task available early address when poisonous gas leaked from large industrial site and contribution for workers' safety at the enclosed space.

  • 우리는 2008년 8월 저탄소 녹색 성장을 국가 비전으로 제시하면서 국제 사회의 기후 변화 대응에 동참한 이후, 저탄소 녹색 성장의 효율적 추진을 위해 녹색 성장 국가 전략 및 5개년 계획(2009~2013)을 수립하여 교통 물류 분야 온실 가스 배출 및 에너지 소비 저감 정책을 추진하고 있다. 이러한 정책 방향에 맞추어, 도로 교통 부분에서의 저탄소 녹색 기술인 ITS를 활용한 $CO_2$ 저감을 추진하는 여러 가지 정책과 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 각 국의 정책 및 기술적 연구 동향을 사전 조사한 내용을 바탕으로 연구 방향을 제안하였다.

  • This study was carried out to develop an engine for off-road vehicles especially for farm tractors using the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which is known as a source of energy having good potential of substitute fuel for diesel engine because of its economical advantage and low pollutant materials after combustion. The study was focused on develop an engine of high in specific power output, low in specific fuel consumption and emission of pollutants. A series of teat was dope on the engine - various laboratory tests to analyze performance of the engine and actual field tests with the engine installed on a farm tractor as a power source.

  • As the interest on the air pollution is gradually rising up at home and abroad, automotive industries have been working on the exhaust emission reduction from vehicles through a lot of approaches, which consist of new engine design, innovative aftertreatment systems, and using clean fuels. Methanol, ethanol, LNG, LPG, H2, reformulated gasoline are generally recognized as the clean fuel. Since the low price policy of government on LPG has expanded its vehicle market recently, there is concern of the exhaust emission of LPG vehicle. In this paper, we studied the value of LPG fuel as a clean fuel by comparing the results of the exhaust emission from LPG and Gasoline fueled vehicles, and discussed its limitation of LPG vehicle with mixer type as a fuel supply system. FTIR was used to understand the difference of exhaust emission components of LPG and Gasoline fueled vehicles.

  • Since national mid-term target for GHG reduction was determined in 2009, various efforts in transportations have been prepared. Generally, the GHG emission of transportation is calculated using the emission factor published from IPCC guideline(2006). However, it is necessary to develop new emission factors considering the properties of transportation as well as fuel. In Korean railroad, main emission sources are the consumption of diesel and electricity from railcar operation. The GHG emission of electric-powered railcars can be estimated using national electric emission factor, but diesel-powered railcars show different trends. The purpose of this study was to establish the development plans of emission factors for diesel-powered railcars. As a result, the emission factors of diesel-powered railcars were classified into railcar type, engine type and life cycle, notch, load, and traffic volume. In future, several emission factors with this category will be presented quantitatively through field tests with the order of priority.

  • This is fundamental study to improve performance of the SI engine,. In this study a conven-tional kerosene engine was modified to LPG dedicated engine which can be operated with LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas) The modified model were tested in accordance with various compression ratios. Also the engine performance with modified model was compared with the conventional one. The results are sum-marized as follow; 1. In comparison with the conventional kerosene Gasoline engine and LPG dedicated engine can be operated with lower exhaust emission better fuel economy and better thermal efficiency. 2. But is produce a slightly lower brake horse power.

  • 최근 자동차 업계서는 차량의 온실가스 배출량을 줄이고 연비를 개선시킬 수 있는 방법 중의 하나로 경량화 소재를 사용하여 차체의 중량을 줄이는 연구가 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 특히 알루미늄 합금의 경우 기존 강재에 비해 비중이 낮아 가볍고 부식에 대한 저항성이 높아 많이 사용되어지고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 먼저, 저입열 용접공정을 적용하여 용접 변수와 토치의 각도에 따른 인장강도 특성을 비교하여 적정 용접 범위를 산정하였으며, 인장강도와 비드형상의 관계를 다중 회귀 분석을 이용하여 비드 예측 회귀 모델을 제시하였다. 또한 호감도 함수를 적용한 반응표면분석법을 이용하여 자동차 생산 현장에서 겹치기 용접 이음부의 강건한 용접 품질을 가질 수 있는 최적용접 공정 조건을 도출할 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 제안하고자 한다.
