Comparison of Loss Function for Multi-Class Classification of Collision Events in Imbalanced Black-Box Video Data (불균형 블랙박스 동영상 데이터에서 충돌 상황의 다중 분류를 위한 손실 함수 비교)

  • Data imbalance is a common issue encountered in classification problems, stemming from a significant disparity in the number of samples between classes within the dataset. Such data imbalance typically leads to problems in classification models, including overfitting, underfitting, and misinterpretation of performance metrics. Methods to address this issue include resampling, augmentation, regularization techniques, and adjustment of loss functions. In this paper, we focus on loss function adjustment, particularly comparing the performance of various configurations of loss functions (Cross Entropy, Balanced Cross Entropy, two settings of Focal Loss: 𝛼 = 1 and 𝛼 = Balanced, Asymmetric Loss) on Multi-Class black-box video data with imbalance issues. The comparison is conducted using the I3D, and R3D_18 models.

  • With the increase in urbanization and automobile demand, urban parking problems have emerged as a serious social issue. In response, research has been conducted to identify parking situations and provide efficient parking information to drivers by utilizing parking lot entry and exit data. This paper preprocesses entry and exit data based on public data to extract parking times and provides expected exit times using the mode value, allowing drivers to anticipate when a vehicle will leave the parking space at their desired parking time. Future research aims to improve the current system by using a real-time parking management system and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of parking space identification.

  • In this paper, a telematics service platform, which supports the management and diagnosis of automobile and controls the automobile's convenience equipment is designed and implemented. Using the service platform, telematics software can be developed independent of the lower part of automobiles's network devices, each hardware devices, and wireless network devices. The platform classifies each device's service and provides it with the fixed form of API(Application Programming Interface). This API consists of the wireless connection for a mobile device, the CAN network for controlling an automobile, the receiving part of GPS data for location base service, and the message parser for different data formats of different network.

  • 2006년 서해대교 추돌사고에서 볼 수 있듯이, 장대교량과 같은 대형 구조물의 경우에는 육로와의 접근성 문제 등으로 인하여 보다 철저한 이용자 안전에 대한 대책이 수립되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 장대교량을 이용하는 차량과 사람의 안전 확보를 위하여 교량의 노면 상태, 기상 상황, 사고 발생 상황 등과 같은 다양한 위험 정보를 수집 및 전송하여 교량의 안전을 실시간으로 관리 할 수 있는 ISB(Intelligent Safety Bridge) Pole 시스템 개발을 제안하고자 한다. ISB Pole 시스템은 교량 안전을 위하여 가장 우선시되는 u-Safety 센서와 신뢰성 향상을 위하여 이중화 통신구조를 지닌 게이트웨이를 Pole에 설치하여 실시간으로 교량의 교통 상황을 모니터링 한다. 뿐만 아니라, 수집된 정보를 통해 교량 안전관리자가 손쉽게 사고 및 위험에 대응할 수 있도록 교량의 각 구간에 위험지수를 표시할 수 있는 u-Safety 복합안전관리 프로그램을 개발한다. 이와같은 ISB Pole 시스템은 실제 교량에 다양한 현장실험을 진행함으로써 시스템의 안정성을 높이고, 인터페이스를 단일화하여 교량의다른 IT 시설물과도 통합이 가능한 형태로 제작되어 교량의 안전도 향상에 크게 기여할 것이다.

  • We propose a smart parking space guiding system based on user preferences in a parking lot. This system guides each vehicle to the most suitable parking space in a parking lot to meet the user preferences such as the available parking spaces in the parking zones and the proximity to the destination by exploiting the traffic to each parking zone gathered at the sensors near each guiding display. For this purpose, this paper proposes the cost function for the optimal route guide based on the various user preferences. In addition, the paper reports the design and implementation results of an event based simulator to show the feasibility of the smart parking guidance system.

  • 동절기, 야간 등 도로에서 결빙으로 인한 연쇄 추돌 사고는 교통 체증 및 2차 사고의 위험으로 이어진다. 도로 중 결빙 발생 다발 지역인 지방도로, 터널 출입구, 교량 구간, 산기슭 도로, 그늘진 곡선 도로를 대상으로 C-ITS 관점 안전운전 결빙 주의보 애플리케이션을 제공하여 결빙으로 발생하는 사고를 미리 예방하고자 한다. 노면/기상 상태를 아두이노, 기상 api로 측정, 차량 운전자용 앱(GIS/맵 기반) 구현을 통해 앱 사용 운전자 간 양방향 V2V, 운전자와 아두이노 센서 간 V2I 통신으로 결빙으로부터 운전자를 보호함에 있다.

  • As VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork) improves road safety, efficiency, and comfort, and provides a value-added service such as commerce information or internet access. it is the most important technology in ITS(Intelligent Transportation System). But, In VANETs, better communication efficiency can be achieved by sacrificing security and vice versa. VANETs cannot get started without either of them. Therefore, to solve these problems simultaneously, this paper proposes MAC(Message Authentication Code) based SDAP(Secure Data Aggregation Protocol) which removes redundant data or abnormal data between vehicles and verifies the integrity of message. The MAC based SDAP not only improves the efficiency of data delivery but also enhances the security by detecting malicious attacks such as propagation jamming attack, forgery attack, and disguised attack.

  • 802.11p WAVE is the next-generation wireless communication that can make Ad-hoc network communication possible for Vehicle-to-Vehicle. GBSR protocol, one of the 802.11p WAVE protocols, mainly focuses on improvements in networks that have a tendency to disconnect. However, it does not consider the transmission time and velocity of a packet thus, there is a disadvantage of there being a delay in the transmission velocity, in urgent situations like car accidents, emergency patients transportation and crimes. In this paper, we proposed A-GBSR protocol for transmission of a packet to mobile node which has a high speed through the improved beacon message and Adaptive Neighbor list Management that are considering of the GBSR protocol transmission velocity.

  • In present, physical distribution industry fields are offering more convenient services using RFID, but there is plenty of room for improvement. And then, utilizing advantages of RFID which quick and simple manages goods and GPS which gets information of position at the present, we implemented a physical distribution management system can manages the information for distribution process of goods easier. We can get much information that the number of loaded goods, the data of goods, the state of distribution, whether or not missing, etc. as attached a RFID reader to the truck. and when truck is moving, we can also obtain much information consumer want that the real time data of position, distribution routes, etc. for loaded goods as received a latitude and longitude from GPS. These information have recorded, managed, and linked Google map, we can grasp the distribution information of goods on World Wide Web service. Because this service is focus on the image not the text can give the information required by the consumer on visual, it is different from the existing service. At this point of time that the RFID and GPS have used in overall industry, If these services have researched and developed with transportation, tour, etc. industry as well as physical distribution, it is possible to utilize more widely.

Implementation and Performance Evaluation of a Precision Localizing Device for Hyperloop Pods Driving at Ulta-High Speeds (초고속주행 하이퍼루프 포드의 정밀 위치측정 장치 구현 및 성능평가)

  • A futuristic locomotion system called Hyperloop is projected for driving at ulta-high speed, levitated in the tube. In hyperloop localization of pods on the linear synchronous motor is essential for pod driving. precision localization is required for acceleration and deceleration of pods driving at speed above 1,000km/h, and also required for adjusting the pod speed driving at this very-high speed to maintain inter-vehicle distance. In this work, a new scale of localization is challenged by modified laser surface velocimeter. In acceleration the speed of a virtual pod is calculated along its displacement measured by laser reflection. Under the requirement of precise localization of the pod driving at ultra-high speed, a displacement measurement device, which detects the difference in reflections from tiles passing by the pod, is developed and evaluated through performance test. Tests of pod speeds below 500km/h have showed exact localization results of the precision in centimeters, and tests of pod speeds above 500km/h have showed localization with very low error rates under 0.1%. For the measurement above 500km/h, future works would pursue the error rate converges to zero.
