In Motion JPEG2000 encoding, huge bandwidth requirement of data memory access is the bottleneck in required system performance. For the alleviation of this bandwidth requirement, a new embedded compression(EC) algorithm with a little bit of image quality drop is devised. For both random accessibility and low latency, very simple and efficient entropy coding algorithm is proposed. We achieved significant memory bandwidth reductions (about 53${\sim}$81%) and reduced code-block memory to about half size through proposed multi-mode algorithms, without requiring any modification in JPEG2000 standard algorithm.
Motiongraphics is not short film and has a special communication method characteristic of design. As graphic design needs space-composition, motiongraphics requires time-composition. In the 1920's, artists belonged Bauhaus in Germany tried to realize time-composition in the plans for abstract animation. At that time the russian film director Eisenstein experimented with moving image composit on, creating new meanings through the montage of heterogeneous images. In the digital era of today, motiongraphics is composed of such various elements as moving image, photo, illustration, typography, etc. The editing in montage film is one-dimensional. Meanwhile, motiongraphics of these days consists of a lot of layers, composing various elements by editing. Motiongraphics needs time structure and visual rhythm as well as scenario or storyboard for time composition. The principle of time composition in motiongraphics ist similar to that of musical composition. If we compare the time composition of abstract animation or montage film with the melody in a solo, time composition for motiongraphicf is like a symphony. Various composing elements are developed under different tempos at the same time.

Flipped learning is a pedagogic model in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed. Short video lectures or e-learning contents or other learning materials are viewed by students at home before the in-class session, while students are mainly carried out diverse active learning activities such as the discussions, exercises, team projects and so on in class time. Recently flipped learning has been emerging as an effective teaching-learning method that can train the 21st century talents who can create creative values based on fusion competencies. Based on the experience in applying the flipped learning to the database class that is an elective course of the school of computer engineering through three semesters, this paper proposes a flipped learning model consists of 7 steps in detail. Also, this paper analyzes the effects and weak points of the flipped learning and proposes several things for the successful flipped learning application.
Based on the theory of use and satisfaction, this study investigated the strength of TikTok usage motives (entertainment, information-seeking, interaction, self-expression, and escape) and the effect of each motive on users' adherence (frequency of use, time of use). investigated. After conducting a survey on TikTok Chinese users and removing insincere answers, 101 survey results were analyzed. The analysis results are as follows: First, the intensity of motivation for using TikTok was in the following order: entertainment-seeking, information-seeking, interaction, self-expression, and escape. Among them, the motives of pursuit of entertainment and escape were higher in females than in males. And the motives of pursuit of entertainment and escape were higher in the case of women than in the case of men. Second, as a result of analyzing the effect on user adhesion, the influence of the users' entertainment pursuit motive, interaction motive, and escape motive was significant for the frequency of use, and the influence of interaction was high. Third, the influence of entertainment-seeking motives and escape motives was found to be significant for use time. This means that users often use TikTok for entertainment, interaction, and escapism, and longer TikTok usage time for entertainment or escapism.
Previous studies have studied short videos, short form content, snack culture and so on, but few studies have been conducted on the form of summary content that compressing and summarizing the original content. This study aims to contribute to the revitalization of the summary content market by exploring ways to enhance user satisfaction through analysis of the YouTube summary content features and the credibility of content providers that bring about flow and satisfaction of YouTube summary content users. The survey was conducted on 202 people who have watched YouTube summary contents for finding out the effects of YouTube summary contents features and content provider credibility on the details of flow. As a result, only entertainment had a significant impact on all flow details. This study is of academic significance in that it defines the features of YouTube summary contents, and has practical significance in that it suggests what direction the summary content should have in order to arouse user satisfaction in future.

Live streaming commerce has emerged as an innovative e-commerce model. This study, based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), aims to explore the impact of Key Opinion Consumers' (KOCs) attributes in live streaming commerce on purchase intentions on short video platforms. A survey was conducted with 411 consumers, and data analysis and hypothesis testing were performed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 23.0 software. Research has found that differences in consumers' information processing abilities lead to different pathway selections. Central route factors such as recommendation consistency, product involvement, and professionalism, as well as peripheral route factors such as recommendation timeliness, all have significant positive effects on consumers' purchase intention. However, visual cues in the peripheral route do not have a significant impact. This study aims to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of the live streaming commerce industry, and to help companies adjust their promotion strategies based on differences in consumer information processing, thereby improving purchase conversion rates.

Purpose: Total hip arthroplasty was performed using a direct anterior approach (DAA) on an ordinary operation table and a short femoral stem. The clinical radiographic results were evaluated by a comparison with those performed using the modified hardinge (anterolateral approach, ALA) method. Materials and Methods: From January 2013 to November 2015, 102 patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty using DAA (DAA group) and the same number of patients using ALA (ALA group), both performed by a single surgeon, were compared and analyzed retrospectively. The operation time and amounts of bleeding were compared, and the improvement in post-operative pain, ambulatory capacity and functional recovery of the hip joint were checked. The location of insertion of the acetabular cup and femoral stem were evaluated radiologically, and the complications that occurred in the two groups were investigated. Results: The amount of bleeding was significantly smaller in the DAA group (p=0.018). Up to 3 weeks postoperatively, recovery of hip muscle strength was significantly higher in the DAA group (flexion/extension strength p=0.023, abduction strength p=0.031). The Harris hip score was significantly better in the DAA group for up to 3 months (p<0.001) and the Koval score showed significantly better results in the DAA group up to 6 weeks (p≤0.001). The visual analogue scale score improvement was significantly higher in the DAA group by day 7 (p=0.035). The inclination angle (p<0.001) and anteversion angle (p<0.001) of the acetabular cup were located in the safe zone of the DAA group more than in the ALA group, and there was no statistically significant difference in the position of the femur stem and leg length difference. During surgery, two cases of greater trochanter fracture occurred in the DAA group (p=0.155). Conclusion: The DAA performed in the ordinary operation table using a short femoral stem showed post-operative early functional recovery. Because a simple to use fluoroscope was used during surgery with an anatomical position familiar to the surgeon, it is considered to be useful for the insertion of implants into the desired position and for an approach that is useful for the prevention of leg length differences.
In this paper, an investigation of weapon tracking performance is shown in regard to improving individual weapon performance of aiming objects. On the battlefield, a battle can last only a few hours, sometimes it can last several days until finished. In these long-lasting combats, a wide variety of factors will gradually lower the visual ability of soldiers. The experiments were focusing on enhancing the degraded aiming performance by applying visual tracking technology to roof mounted sights so as to track the movement of troops automatically. In order to select the optimal algorithm among the latest visual tracking techniques, performance of each algorithm was evaluated using the real combat images with characteristics of overlapping problems, camera's mobility, size changes, low contrast images, and illumination changes. The results show that VTD (Visual Tracking Decomposition)[2], IVT (Incremental learning for robust Visual Tracking)[7], and MIL (Multiple Instance Learning)[1] perform the best at accuracy, response speed, and total performance, respectively. The evaluation suggests that the roof mounted sights equipped with visual tracking technology are likely to improve the reduced aiming ability of forces.
SeaBeam2000, a multibeam echo sounder, is a new generation seabed mapping system of which a single swath covers an angular range of -60.deg. to 60.deg. from the vertical direction with 121 beams. It provides high-density and high-quality bathymetric data along with sidescan acoustic data. The purpose of the research is to develop a system for processing multibeam underwater acoustic and bathymetric data using digital signal processing techniques. Recently obtained multibeam echo sounder data covering a survey area in the East Sea of Korea ($37{\circ}$.00'N to $37{\circ}$30'N and $129{\circ}$40'E to $130{\circ}$30'E) are preliminarily processed using the developed system and reproduced in the raster image format as well as three dimensionally visualized form.
