Design and Characterization of HTS 3dB Coupler for Satellite Communication (위성통신용 고온초전도 3dB 커플러의 설계 제작 및 특성해석)

  • 이 논문에서는 고온초전도체로 제작된 위성통신용 고온초전도 3dB 커플러에 대하여 보고한다. 커플러 제작에 사용된 초전도체는 MgO 기판위에 증착된 YBCO 고온초전도 박막이었다. 중심 주파수는 408 MHz 대역폭은 위성통신 기지국용 전력 결합기가 안정적으로 동작하도록 15 MHz의 광대역을 설정하였다. 설계를 위해 기존의 분포정수로회로를 ABCD Matrix를 이용해서 집중정수 회로로 전환하였고, 컴퓨터 모의실험을 위해 em Sonnet 상업용 프로그램을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 모의 실험시 초전도체의 저항은 0으로 하였고, 기타 유전손실은 없는 것으로 가정하였다. 측정결과 우수한 대역폭 특성을 보여주었지만, 대체적으로 12 MHz의 대역폭이 측정되었으며 이는 설계시 모멘트 법 적용에 따른 계산 셀의 정밀도에서 기인하는 것으로 보이며 좀더 세밀한 계산 셀을 사용할 경우, 정확한 계산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper discribes an analysis for the sleeve monopole antenna with single sleeve. The structure of the proposed antenna is very simple. Therefore, it is very economical in terms of manufacturing and installation which makes it convenient for either portable or mobile use by making an up-and-down type antenna. In the method of analysis, instead of the complex electro- magneticapproach, we used a lumped element equivalent circuit derived from the information about the electrical dimensions and the resonance characteristics of the antenna. An error between a resonant frequency by lumped-element circuit analysis of the proposed antenna and a measured one by an experiment is below 0.9%. It is shown that the theoretical and experiment results are little different.

Transient Response Analysis of the Trigonometric Distributed RC Circuit (삼각함수형 RC분포회로의 과도응답해석)

  • Since all the poles of the open circuit voltage transfer function of the trigonometric, linear, passive RC circuits exist on the negative real axis of s-plane, its transient response to the unit step input is monotonic. This satisfies the necessary conditions for the applicability of Elmore's method which had been developed originally for the transient analysis of lumped circuit in computing the rise time and delay time of the trigonometric distributed RC circuits. This paper describes the computing method of rise and delay times of the trigonometric distributed RC circuit. The analysis shows that the transient response of this kind circuit depends only upon the time constant and distance angle $\theta$. As $\theta$ is increased, the rise and delay titles are increased non-linearly.

  • 현대 사회의 기술 발달에 따라서 회로의 집적도 대비 이용하는 주파수가 매우 높아지고 있다. 즉, 회로의 이용 주파수가 높아짐에 따라서 파장이 신호를 전달하는 전선만큼 짧아져 기존의 회로이론을 기반으로 하는 집중 정수 회로적 관점으로 해석할 수 없다. 따라서 전송선로 이론에 따라 해석하여야 하지만, 최근 전자기기들은 높은 집적도나 여러 모듈(Module)을 종합해서 만들기 때문에 전기적 특성이 일정한 전송선로의 이론을 적용하기가 힘들며, 따라서 이는 불연속을 고려한 전송선로의 분석이 이루어져야 함을 시사한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전송선로에서 불연속 구간이 존재할 경우 기존의 전송선로 이론을 적용한 전기파라미터 변환에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해서 불연속 구간이 존재하는 마이크로 스트립 구조를 설계해 VNA(Vector Network Analyzer)를 이용해서 산란계수(S-Parameter)를 측정 및 분석하였다.

A Method for the high speed selection of information in the magnetic memory core (기억자심에서의 정보선택의 고속화방법)

  • The Series RC load is connected with the word line in an attempt to select with high speed the information from the coincident current magnetie memory core. By taking the small time constant of the RC load, the cycle time of the output pulse is shortened by about 2 microseconds to 3 micro seconds. For this purpose, the analytical study are accomplished and the optimum circuit parameters are determined. Furthermore, the thermal problems occuring from the high speed switching of the magnetic memory core have been clarified.

  • PCB상에서의 집중정수 소자를 분석하기 위해 Electromagnetic Top이ogy를 이용한다. 복잡한 시스템에서 EM Coupling 문제를 수치해석이나 실험을 통해 구하기는 어렵다. 이런 복잡한 시스템에서 Electromagnetic Topology 방법을 통하여 EMC 해석을 하는 것은 유용할 것이다. 간단한 회로로 된 PCB를 통하여 이 방법에 대하여 검증해볼 것이다.

Research on R-C Distributed Circuits (R-C 분포회로에 관한 연구)

  • A method by which solutions of the differential equations of any other distributed circuits can be obtained is described when the solution of the differential equation of an R-C distributed amplifier is known. A graphical method of transforming any R-C ditributed circuit into an equivalent circuit which has a constant R(x)$cdot$C(x) was also obtained. The theoretical verification of this method is possible. For simplicity, any R-C distributed circuit can be transformed into an equivalent circuit which is a distributed circuit of either constant R(x) or C(x). Using this equivalent circuit and considering a lumped circuit, an approximate analysis and synthesis can be made simply.

  • When we perform the test related to the power distribution system such as artificial fault test, protective coordination test, distribution automation test in short length test line, Lumped Constant Circuit, a kind of variable impedance, should be attached to the test line in order to make it equivalent to a real line in length electrically. In this paper we designed the positive sequence and zero sequence Lumped Constant Circuit with optimized inductor and resister for the modification of long, 16km, distribution line, when they are attached to the short, 4km, distribution test line.

  • In this paper, I study on the realization of 900 MHz 1 W power amplifier using a harmonic rejection circuit. The proposed harmonic rejection circuit has improved the harmonic rejection characteristic and overcoming the problems related with frequency reproducibility on the microstrip line. The proposed power amplifier, fabricated by the type of hybrid with the epoxy PCB, was composed of driver stage and power amplifier stage with harmonic rejection circuit. The fabricated power amplifier shows -24 dBc and -30 dBc of harmonic rejection characteristic at 2nd and 3rd harmonic compared with that is not used, respectively and it could be replace the filter located between an output stage and an antenna.

  • In this paper, we designed more improving a dual-band power amplifier than the transceiver of RFID reader that operates at 910 MHz and 2.45 GHz. A dual-band power amplifier has two circuits. One matching circuit is composed lumped element in the band of 910 MHz. The other matching circuit using distributed element in the high band of 2.45 GHz. So, this dual-band power amplifier works as Band Rejection Filter in the band of 910 MHz but in the high band of 2.45 GHz works as Band Pass Filter. Therefore, this is composed a microstrip transmission line. A power amplifier is showed gains of 8 dB output power at 910 MHz and 1.5 dB output power at 2.45 GHz. If input power is 10 dBm, both of bands output 20 dBm.
