It is obviously true that the aspects of interior designs in current use have been combined with changing trends and developed and handed down throughout centuries. An examination of respective characteristics of spaces where Korean presidents have lived during their terms of office could get a useful clue by which both traces of Korean modernism and senses of modeling can be perceived. However, there are not enough literatures that can be verified. Therefore, it would be especially meaningful to find out and analyze documents unearthed. The purpose of this study is to consider the expressiveness of interior designs of presidential residence and office which have been combined with changing trends and developed, while classifying respective cases during presidential tenure by periods of Joseon Government general, U. S military administration, the first Republic, the second Republic, the third and the fourth Republic, the fifth Republic, and the sixth Republic, examining relevant literatures, photos, drawings and making on-the-spot survey. The study is also intended to get a better understanding of the aspects and the features of interior designs shown in presidential residences and offices that are not so much made known due to uneasy access to archives and to document the resources buried in oblivion and to consider the historical meanings.

현재의 오피스는 공간이 좁고, 바닥위의 배선이 장애물이며, 형광전구가 노출된 조명으로 실내 작업환경에 대한 고려가 매우 미약한 점에 의심할 여지가 없다고 생각된다. 특히 OA기기의 도입에 따른 집무 공간의 감소, 프린터 소음, 기기의 발생열, 배선, VDT(Visual Display Terminal:화면이 있는 OA기기) 작업과 관련된 환경 관리, 작업관리, 건강관리의 필요성등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 그러므로 쾌적한 분위기를 구성요소로 조명은 실의 LAY OUT, 표면처리, 배색등 인테리어 디자인과 함께 그 효과를 최대한으로 연출하도록 되리라 생각된다. 따라서, 자연채광 이용을 통하여 절감될 수 있는 인공조명(형광등)의 제어방법으로서 본 논문에서는 점멸방식(ON,OFF)을 시도하였으며 점멸에 따른 급격한 조도저하를 보다 심리적인 차원을 고려한 실내조명 조광장치(천정형태와 외부에 댄 반사판)로 인한 실내조도 분포의 영향에 대하여 파악하고자 하였다.

This paper aims to analyze the bibliographic characteristics and the material value of the recently introduced manuscript YoungNamRooSiun(嶺南樓詩韻). YoungNamRooSiun(嶺南樓詩韻) is a collection of six buildings including the Yeongnamroo(嶺南樓) main hall floor, Reulpadang(凌波堂), Chimryugak(枕流閣), Gaksadonghun(客舍東軒), Dukminjung(德民亭), and Namsujung(攬秀亭). And poetry. The number of artists listed here is 412, and the total number of works is 570 including 11 prose and 559 rhyme. Through the text, YoungNamRoo(嶺南樓) was able to confirm that it was a space where official affairs such as observatory, master's office space, and hospitality reception were held. Based on this, an attempt should be made to take the reliability of the YoungNamRoo(嶺南樓) Ruling through the comparison of the original texts of the YoungNamRoo(嶺南樓) Ruling Prize and the collected writers.

This study attempted to organize the transition process of Royal Library (Gyujanggak) in chronological order, analyze the flow and find diachronic meaning during Gojong period, the most confused time at home and abroad prior to modernization. For this, first, the total status quo of King Gojong's library and book storage which played role of Royal Library and a personal library in Gojong period was investigated. Second, based on the current status of the investigation, the transition process from the Royal library in the early days of King Gojong to the Imperial library during the Korean Empire and its meaning were considered with the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, Seungjeongwon diary, various catalogs and historical records. Third, the changes of space-time and aspect of Royal library through the palace of Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, and Gyeongungung were examined to draw a sociopolitical meaning by schematizing each palace. As a result, first, King Gojong conjugated Kyujanggak as a device to strengthen the royal authority and accommodate Western culture in the process of modernization. Second, the crucial spaces containing the political orientation of King Gojong, such as the present king's portrait storage place, library(book storage), and office, formed a separate hall across Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Gyeongungung, and gradually changed into a Western architectural style.
