A Tensor Space Model based Semantic Search Technique (텐서공간모델 기반 시멘틱 검색 기법)

  • Semantic search is known as a series of activities and techniques to improve the search accuracy by clearly understanding users' search intent without big cognitive efforts. Usually, semantic search engines requires ontology and semantic metadata to analyze user queries. However, building a particular ontology and semantic metadata intended for large amounts of data is a very time-consuming and costly task. This is why commercialization practices of semantic search are insufficient. In order to resolve this problem, we propose a novel semantic search method which takes advantage of our previous semantic tensor space model. Since each term is represented as the 2nd-order 'document-by-concept' tensor (i.e., matrix), and each concept as the 2nd-order 'document-by-term' tensor in the model, our proposed semantic search method does not require to build ontology. Nevertheless, through extensive experiments using the OHSUMED document collection and SCOPUS journal abstract data, we show that our proposed method outperforms the vector space model-based search method.

An Exploratory Study of the Business Contents Market (유료 비즈니스 콘텐츠 시장 개선 방안 연구)

  • With the development of Information and communication technology the demand for intangible products, in this case contents; are increasing rapidly. However, the market for paid contents is relatively un-vitalized and especially the market for business contents, needed for promoting business or work; is even more stagnant. Existing studies seek to vitalize the paid content market by proposing business models from the supplier's aspect. This study carries out a qualitative research, to discover the causes for market non-vitalization of business content from the user's perspective; by conducting in-depth interviews with 125 customers of business contents targeting office workers and independent businessmen. Through the answers of in-depth interviews, in regards of reasons for purchasing/non-purchasing business contents and problems of business content market; the result indicated that value, trust, and quality are the factors that have direct influence on the purchase. The study proposes resolution to all the problems indicated in three influential factors and derived the responsibility of each paid content market participants; the supplier, related government institution, and user.

The Impact of Conflict and Influence Strategies Between Local Korean-Products-Selling Retailers and Wholesalers on Performance in Chinese Electronics Distribution Channels: On Moderating Effects of Relational Quality (중국 가전유통경로에서 한국제품 현지 판매업체와 도매업체간 갈등 및 영향전략이 성과에 미치는 영향: 관계 질의 조절효과)

  • I. Introduction: In Chinese electronics industry, the local wholesalers are still dominant but power is rapidly swifting from wholesalers to retailers because in recent foreign big retailers and local mass merchandisers are growing fast. During such transient period, conflicts among channel members emerge important issues. For example, when wholesalers who have more power exercise influence strategies to maintain status, conflicts among manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer will be intensified. Korean electronics companies in China need differentiated channel strategies by dealing with wholesalers and retailers simultaneously to sell more Korean products in competition with foreign firms. For example, Korean electronics firms should utilize 'guanxi' or relational quality to form long-term relationships with whloesalers instead of power and conflict issues. The major purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of conflict, dependency, and influence strategies between local Korean-products-selling retailers and wholesalers on performance in Chinese electronics distribution channels. In particular, this paper proposes effective distribution strategies for Korean electronics companies in China by analyzing moderating effects of 'Guanxi'. II. Literature Review and Hypotheses: The specific purposes of this study are as follows. First, causes of conflicts between local Korean-products-selling retailers and wholesalers are examined from the perspectives of goal incongruence and role ambiguity and then effects of these causes are found out on perceived conflicts of local retailers. Second, the effects of dependency of local retailers upon wholesalers are investigated on local retailers' perceived conflicts. Third, the effects of non-coercive influence strategies such as information exchange and recommendation and coercive strategies such as threats and legalistic pleas exercised by wholesalers are explored on perceived conflicts by local retailers. Fourth, the effects of level of conflicts perceived by local retailers are verified on local retailers' financial performance and satisfaction. Fifth, moderating effects of relational qualities, say, 'quanxi' between wholesalers and retailers are analyzed on the impact of wholesalers' influence strategies on retailers' performances. Finally, moderating effects of relational qualities are examined on the relationship between conflicts and performance. To accomplish above-mentioned research objectives, Figure 1 and the following research hypotheses are proposed and verified. III. Measurement and Data Analysis: To verify the proposed research model and hypotheses, data were collected from 97 retailers who are selling Korean electronic products located around Central and Southern regions in China. Covariance analysis and moderated regression analysis were employed to validate hypotheses. IV. Conclusion: The following results were drawn using structural equation modeling and hierarchical moderated regression. First, goal incongruence perceived by local retailers significantly affected conflict but role ambiguity did not. Second, consistent with conflict spiral theory, the level of conflict decreased when retailers' dependency increased toward wholesalers. Third, noncoercive influence strategies such as information exchange and recommendation implemented by wholesalers had significant effects on retailers' performance such as sales and satisfaction without conflict. On the other hand, coercive influence strategies such as threat and legalistic plea had insignificant effects on performance in spite of increasing the level of conflict. Fourth, 'guanxi', namely, relational quality between local retailers and wholesalers showed unique effects on performance. In case of noncoercive influence strategies, 'guanxi' did not play a role of moderator. Rather, relational quality and noncoercive influence strategies can serve as independent variables to enhance performance. On the other hand, when 'guanxi' was well built due to mutual trust and commitment, relational quality as a moderator can positively function to improve performance even though hostile, coercive influence strategies were implemented. Fifth, 'guanxi' significantly moderated the effects of conflict on performance. Even if conflict arises, local retailers who form solid relational quality can increase performance by dealing with dysfunctional conflict synergistically compared with low 'quanxi' retailers. In conclusion, this study verified the importance of relational quality via 'quanxi' between local retailers and wholesalers in Chinese electronic industry because relational quality could cross out the adverse effects of coercive influence strategies and conflict on performance.

  • 인터넷 기반의 많은 응용이 문서중심의 컴퓨팅 모델로 전환되고 있다. 문서는 문서설계자의 의도를 함축하고 있으며 이는 업무처리 과정의 자동화에 적극적으로 활용될 수 있다. 이러한 무서의 본질 파악을 통해 본 논문에서는 문서를 실행 가능한 컴퓨터 프로그램의 시각으로 접근한다. 이를 위해 서식, 데이터, 규칙 그리고, 질의로 구성되는 능동문서 모델을 제시한다. 모델의 각 요소는 문서의 재사용성과 상호 운영성을 위해 XML로 일관되게 표현된다. 능동문서는 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하는 수동적인 역할뿐만 아니라 문서설계자가 의도하는 문서처리 절차와 업무규칙을 기계가 읽고 추론하여 처리할 수 있는 문서이다. 이를 통해 문서와 기계가 상호작용을 할 수 있으며 다른 응용 프로그램과 협력할 수도 있다. 이러한 능동문서의 적용 가능함을 보이기 위해 기업가거래(B2B) 시스템에서 구매주문 처리의 예를 보였다. 요컨대 본 논문에서 제시한 능동문서는 지식표현 및 처리기능이 내장되어 있는 바, 문서중심의 지능적인 응용프로그램 개발을 가속화하는 토대를 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Development of water cycle analysis systems and evaluation of Urbanization for the Gap river basin using SWAT (SWAT 모델을 이용한 갑천 유역 물수지 분석 및 도시화 영향 평가)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 하천 복원과 관리에 필수적인 하천의 특성 분석 및 물순환 분석시스템 구축에 있다. 연구 대상지역으로 최근 하천의 생태 기능 회복을 위해 도심생태하천조성 사업이 추진되고 있는 대전 3대 하천유역을 선정하였다. 대전 3대 하천 유역의 물수지와 도시화에 따른 영향을 파악하기 위하여 SWAT을 이용한 물순환 분석시스템을 구축하였다. 모형적용 결과, 유출량과 지하수 수위 변화 등 대전 3대 하천 유역의 특성을 관측치에 가깝게 모의할 수 있었다. 모델의 검보정 실시결과에서 나타난 모델의 계산 값들의 관측된 유출량뿐 아니라 기저유출량 및 지하수 수위와의 높은 상관관계는 본 연구에서 구축한 모델의 구조나 변수의 유효성에 많은 신뢰도를 제공한다고 판단된다. SWAT을 이용하여 대전 3대 하천 유역의 물수지 분석 및 도시화에 따른 영향을 평가하였다. 물수지 분석결과에 의하면, 전체적으로 총 유출량 중 지하수 유출량이 47%정도, 중간 유출량이 31% 그리고 지표유출량이 22%이다. 각 소유역의별 유출 성분 분석결과는 각 소유역의 토지 이용도, 토양 그리고 지형적 특징에 따른 유출 특성을 확인하였다. 도시화 영향 분석 결과 전체적으로 1975년에서 2000년까지 갑천 유역의 약 5%가량의 도시화는 총 유출량의 변화에 있어서는 현저한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 각 유출 성분의 경우에는 많은 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 지표유출량은 45% 가량의 증가를 보였고, 전체 유역의 지하수함양 량이 5%정도 감소한 반면, 도시화가 31%정도 진행된 소유역의 경우에는 17%정도의 현저한 감소를 나타냈다. 본 연구에서 수행한 물수지 분석 및 도시화 영향분석 결과는 향후 대천 3대 하천의 생태하천복원을 위한 물순환 정상화 대책마련 및 하천의 유량확보방안 마련에 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.득증대를 꾀함으로 농촌문제 해결에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구를 통해 GIS 와 RS의 기술이 농촌분야에 더 효율적으로 적용될 것으로 기대되며, 농업기술센터를 통한 정보제공을 함으로써 대농민 서비스 및 농업기관의 위상이 제고 될 것으로 기대된다.여 전자파의 공간적인 가시화를 수행할 수 있었다. 본 전자파 시뮬레이션 기법이 실무에 이용될 경우, 일반인이 전자파의 분포에 대한 전문지식을 습득할 필요 없이, 검색하고자 하는 지역과 송전선, 전철 등 각종 전자파의 발생 공간 객체를 선택하여 실생활과 관련된 전자파 정보에 예측할 수 있어, 대민 환경정보 서비스 질의 개선측면에서 획기적인 계기를 마련할 것으로 사료된다.acid$(C_{18:3})$가 대부분을 차지하였다. 야생 돌복숭아 과육 중의 지방산 조성은 포화지방산이 16.74%, 단불포화지방산 17.51% 및 다불포화지방산이 65.73%의 함유 비율을 보였는데, 이 중 다불포화지방산인 n-6계 linoleic acid$(C_{18:2})$와 n-3계 linolenic acid$(C_{18:3})$가 지질 구성 총 지방산의 대부분을 차지하는 함유 비율을 나타내었다.했다. 하강하는 약 4일간의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전

  • Since the emergence of XML as the standard for data exchange on the Web, XML warehousing technology is required to efficiently support Web business applications such as e-Commerce. When the RDBMS is employed as the storage for XML warehouse, XML materialized views of the XML warehouse could be provided by leveraging the materialized views of the RDBMS Because XML documents are mapped into relational tuples, an XML query defining an XML materialized view needs to be transformed into SQL. If relational materialized views were defined with the transformed SQL statements, the XML materialized view could be obtained just by XML-tagging the tuples of the corresponding relational materialized views. The foremost advantage of such a scheme is that the RDBMS does take care of XML materialized view consistency except XML tagging whenever their source XML documents are updated. In this paper, we proposed such a scheme of providing XML materialized views, and implemented it using a commercial RDBMS equipped with materialized view facility in Java on Windows 2000 Professional environment. XML documents in TPC-W, Web e-Commerce Benchmark, were used in performance experiments. The experimental results showed that our proposed scheme for XML materialized views was very effective.

  • The ontology has been gaining increasing interests by recent arise of the semantic web and related technologies. The focus is mostly on inference query processing that requires high-level techniques for storage and searching ontologies efficiently, and it has been actively studied in the area of semantic-based searching. W3C's recommendation is to use RDFS and OWL for representing ontologies. However memory-based editors, inference engines, and triple storages all store ontology as a simple set of triplets. Naturally the performance is limited, especially when a large-scale ontology needs to be processed. A variety of researches on proposing algorithms for efficient inference query processing has been conducted, and many of them are based on using proven relational database technology. However, none of them had been successful in obtaining the complete set of inference results which reflects the five characteristics of the ontology properties. In this paper, we propose a new index structure called hyper cube index to efficiently process inference queries. Our approach is based on an intuition that an index can speed up the query processing when extensive inferencing is required.

Real-time Spatial Recommendation System based on Sentiment Analysis of Twitter (트위터의 감정 분석을 통한 실시간 장소 추천 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a system recommending spatial information what user wants with collecting and analyzing tweets around the user's location by using the GPS information acquired in mobile. This system has built an emotion dictionary and then derive the recommendation score of morphological analyzed tweets to provide not just simple information but recommendation through the emotion analysis information. The system also calculates distance between the recommended tweets and user's latitude-longitude coordinates and the results showed the close order. This paper evaluates the result of the emotion analysis in a total of 10 areas with two keyword 'Restaurants' and 'Performance.' In the result, the number of tweets containing the words positive or negative are 122 of the total 210. In addition, 65 tweets classified as positive or negative by analyzing emotions after a morphological analysis and only 46 tweets contained the meaning of the positive or negative actually. This result shows the system detected tweets containing the emotional element with recall of 38% and performed emotion analysis with precision of 71%.

  • Land information is the real-time spatial thing which must be considered with spatial and time factors. This study aims to apply and implement an appropriate spatiotemporal model for land information by exploring spatiotemporal data models which have been suggested in the previous studies. The implemented spatiotemporal model in this study is characterized by time and attribute. In the time aspect, it is divided by valid time and transaction time, and in the attribute aspect, includes the related information such as area and ownership. At the spatial point of view, the model has a spaghetti information structure as reducing information overlapped by managing the spatial information coordinates. The spatiotemporal land information model in this study facilitates representing the quality of attribute, spatial and time information.

The Role of Information Search Cost on Seller's Disclosure of Negative Information (정보 검색 비용이 판매자의 부정적 정보 공개에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • This study has attempted to provide an important understanding about the information asymmetry in markets through empirical analysis on how the disclosure of low quality can increase demand even in the short run. More specifically, this study has extended the previous findings from the related literature by considering the effect of information search cost and providing empirical evidences about the effect of voluntary disclosure of low quality, using an experimental method with purchase scenarios. The results from our analysis show that reduced perceived risk have an important effect on sharing negative information, while the effect of information search cost is minimal. We also explain the circumstances whereby the information disclosure of a seller with low-quality product can enhance not only the seller's profitability but also customers' welfare by increasing the market demand and the demand for the seller claiming high quality.
