Development of Competency Evaluation Model for Public Private Partnership to Establish Strategies for Overseas Expansion (해외진출 전략 수립을 위한 민관합작투자사업의 역량평가모델 개발)

  • With the number of social overhead capital(SOC) projects that introduce private capital on the rise, overseas construction global companies today need to establish and advance their overseas order strategies. In this context, the purpose of this study is to develop the public private partnership(PPP) capacity evaluation model for developing countries and use it for domestic overseas construction companies to establish strategies for overseas expansion. The PPP competency evaluation model analyzes the importance of PPP competency evaluation items and infrastructure environment competency evaluation items through a review of previous studies and an interview survey with overseas construction experts. Through the above analysis results and expert surveys, problems that may occur when overseas construction companies enter the PPP market were derived, and improvement measures were proposed. Countries with a high probability of overseas construction companies entering the PPP market were determined to be those that have a mature PPP system, low risk in construction, and a good entry environment with a high infrastructure market size and growth rate. In addition, a lack of PPP investment experience, the absence of information on the infrastructure environment, and a shortage of PPP experts were identified as problems when entering the overseas construction PPP market. As an improvement measure, it was suggested to enter in cooperation with domestic and foreign companies. In addition, a plan was proposed to develop a curriculum to secure experts in areas such as PPP finance and contracts and to provide PPP information for each country. These findings are expected to contribute to overseas construction companies proposing strategies for entering the overseas construction market and using them for overseas expansion strategies and policy establishment.

Alternatives for Entering into the Chinese Market by Smaller-Sized Korean Logistics Enterprises (우리나라 중소물류기업의 중국진출 활성화 방안)

  • The growth of Chinese logistics market has brought many logistics enterprises enter into the chinese market. The purpose of this study is to suggest some alternatives for activating enter into chinese market for smaller-sized korean logistics enterprise. First of all, in order to achieve such a purpose, factors for activation through literature survey and previous studies are analyzed. After that, questionnaire survey are carried out. Also factor analysis and reliability test based on the questionnaire results are performed. Main findings are suggested as followings. First, in order to activate entering the chinese market, it is drawn out that possessing of logistics infrastructure and understanding of culture of chinese relationship are most important. Second, market information and reform of management system, inspection and customs clearance are suggested as less important.

  • As the numbers of Internet users and the growth of education market along with the generalization of distance study increase, e-Learning industry in China is growing rapidly more than 20% each year. However, domestic e-Learning industry for entry to the Chinese market is showing inadequate result even though its potential growth in China and their scale of industry is near about 3 trillion won. A type of this industry is combined with Information Technology (IT) and education industry and their complex factors need to be considered because of the country's education policy and ICT infrastructure. In addition to these factors, sometimes main agents can be the government or a private organization and they form different circumstances each other. Therefore, it is required to have an in-depth study of the entering the Chinese market based on an accurate analysis for Chinese education and culture. In this research, it will focus on the current state of e-Learning market in Korea and China after studying the e-Learning system through the existing reference research. Moreover, this research will propose a method of the entry for the Chinese e-Leaning market through a case study from domestic and foreign companies.

  • Local freight forwarder's circle is suffering worsening profitability and insecure employment from over-competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. It is emerging UN procurement market for local freight forwarders. However it is needed to study on successful entry, market status and supporting measures from government and research institute. Currently there are no national research data of UN procurement market in logistics sectors but as per the writer's experience and viewpoint to UN bidding, it would seem that appropriate measures should be made such as government's enhanced support for overseas advancement, price competitiveness, building global network and development of education program for trainees associated with current overseas internship program by government.

  • Overseas Expansion is essential to expand domestic geospatial industries in a state of saturation. But current overseas expansion method has be limited to expand global market. Inter-industries convergence strategies may be most resonable alternative to expand global market through raising expansion possibility to developing countries with ODA funds and to developed countries with converging global competitive industries. This research analyzed the industry to develop a suitable way fusion between these industries. As a result, easiness of convergence, confidentiality of information, complementarity of poor infrastructure, responsiveness of various demands and sustainability of system are needed to successful convergence on multiple industries. This convergence framework is consists of geospatial convergence common framework based on cloud computing, inter-industries convergence model and institutional supporting system for overseas expansion.
