Prediction of future potential hydropower in Asia based on AR5 climate scenarios (AR5 시나리오 기반 미래 아시아 수력 발전 가능량 전망)

  • 기후변화 대응을 위해 파리기후협약에서는 온실가스 배출량 감축을 위한 구체적인 목표를 제시하였다. 에너지 분야는 온실가스가 가장 많이 배출되는 분야 중 하나이며, 온실가스 감축 방안으로 신재생 에너지에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 특히 수력에너지는 신재생 에너지 중 가장 현실적이고 많이 활용되는 에너지원으로 각광받고 있다. 아시아 지역은 개발도상국이 다수 위치하고 있고 미개발된 잠재 수력에너지가 풍부한 지역으로 국내 기업의 진출 가능성이 높은 지역이다. 수력에너지 개발을 위해서는 수력 발전 가능량 평가가 필수적이며, 수력 발전 가능량은 기후, 수문조건에 민감하게 반응하기 때문에 기후변화에 따른 수력 발전 가능량의 변동 가능성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 아시아 지역에 대한 AR5 기후변화 시나리오 기반 수력 발전 가능량을 전망하고 분석하고자 하였다. 수력 발전 가능량 산정을 위한 수문 자료 생성은 지표수문해석 모형 VIC (Variable Infiltration Capacity)를 이용하였으며, 모형 입력 자료로 APHRODITE (Asian Precipitation -Highly Resolved Observational Data Integration Towards Evaluation of water resources) 기상 자료, USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) 수치지형도, FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) 토양도, NCC (Norwegian Climate Centre) NorESM 기후변화 시나리오를 활용하였다. 분석결과 수력 발전 가능량은 과거 및 미래 기간에 동남아시아, 남아시아 지역에 풍부한 것으로 나타났다. 동남아시아는 유출량이 풍부하며, 남아시아는 유역별 낙차가 크기 때문에 수력 발전 가능량이 풍부한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 동남아시아 지역의 수력 발전 가능량이 남아시아에 비해 기후변화의 영향을 크게 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 미래 기후변화로 인해 유출량의 변동 폭이 더욱 넓어져 발전 효율이 감소하는 것으로 나타나 수력발전의 안정성이 감소하였다. 본 연구는 아시아 지역의 수력 발전 가능량을 산정하고 특징을 분석하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

  • The 5th generation mobile communication (5G) is being commercialized by major domestic and foreign mobile telecommunication businesses and is spreading to general customers mainly on smart devices such as smartphones, wearables, and IoT. If 4G networks and 5G access equipment were utilized by introducing NSA(None-Stand Alone) technology when 5G was first introduced, recently, 5G convergence services are being realized by gradually expanding evolution to 5G standalone networks through SA (Stand Alone) technology. The purpose of this study is to study a design plan for implementing necessary service-oriented functions from the perspective of communication network users on the configuration of 5G SA equipment based on SBA(Service-based Architecture) mentioned in the 3GPP technical specification document. Through this research, it is expected that companies that need to enter the 5G market can easily access the 5G SA network to develop and supplement specialized 5G convergence services to improve product performance and quality.

  • In Korea, driven piles are generally penetrated up to weathered rock or harder strata. Friction piles have been used to some extent in the southwest coastal area with deep soils; however, friction piles are not extensively due to uncertainties about construction quality. The embedded pile construction method is primarily used due to noise and vibration complaints. However, in Southeast Asian countries (e.g., Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam), where soft sediments are deep, the driven pile method is commonly used due to its economic advantages. Construction companies are increasingly entering overseas construction markets, e.g., Southeast Asia; thus, it is necessary to understand the behavior of driven friction piles in the soil and improve on-site engineering management to gain market competitiveness in these countries. In this study, the bearing capacity of friction piles driven into clayey coastal soils in Vietnam with time-dependent characteristics was evaluated based on the dynamic and static pile load tests. Based on the results, a modified Danish formula is proposed for on-site quality management.

  • In this study, the problem of child care gaps has arisen due to the expansion of women's entry into the workforce and the increase in working couples, and the care cliff phenomenon after children enter elementary school has been identified as one of the causes of women's career disconnection and low birth rates, and child care services have been initiated to solve care problems and balance work and family. The importance of childcare services to the safety and well-being of children has been highlighted by the restrictions on school attendance and the absence of caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The government has been making policy efforts to reduce the gap in child care, but problems with the effectiveness and efficiency of the child care system have arisen due to unstable target selection and delivery systems by ministries and projects in the implementation of child care services. Therefore, this study examines the child care services implemented by each ministry to reduce the blind spots of after-school care services in the community and prepare efficient operation plans for various delivery systems, and seeks directions for the development of child care services.

Mitigation of Insufficient Capacity Problems of Central Bus Stops by Controlling Effective Green Time (유효녹색시간 조정을 활용한 중앙버스정류장 용량 부족 완화 방안 연구)

  • After the introduction of the central bus lane system, bus traffic was prioritized. This resulted in improved trust from bus users. However, the low capacity at the central bus stop reduces traffic speed and punctuality. In addition, physical constraints are inevitable because the construction of central bus lanes and bus stops considers the city's road geometry. Therefore, this study attempted to optimize the effective green time of the traffic signal system at the entrance and exit of the central bus stop to remedy its insufficient operational capacity. The Transit Capacity and Quality of Service Manual and Korea Highway Capacity Manual were used as the analysis methodologies. The number of stop areas for central bus stops to be built was determined by excluding variable physical factors, and field survey data collected from nine randomly selected central bus stops currently installed in Seoul were used. A scenario analysis was conducted on the central bus stops with insufficient capacity by adjusting the effective green time, and the capacity of the central bus stop was set as the dependent variable. According to the results, 26.7 percent of the central bus stops with insufficient capacity can solve the problem of insufficient capacity. Therefore, the results of this study can be verified by improving the operation level, and it can be effective even if the number of central bus stops calculated by engineering is not guaranteed during the planning stage of the central bus stop. As the number of central bus stops is expected to increase further as the number of central bus stops increases, it is necessary to improve the number of central bus stops. Therefore, it is hoped that the results presented in this study will be used as basic data for the improvement plan at the operational level before introducing the physical improvement plan.

An Exploratory Study on Logistics Infrastructures in Cambodia : Current Issues and Future Solutions (캄보디아의 물류 기반시설에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 그 쟁점과 해결방안)

  • This study uncovered some issues that have constrained the development of logistics performance in Cambodia. Firstly, literature review was narrowed down to include studies involving the relationship between Logistics and transportation, the relationship between the infrastructure and economic growth and the important role of logistics on economic growth and poverty reduction. Then the next step the study identified some issues related to transport infrastructure that were assumed to cause the enhancement of logistics sector. Moreover, a case study about cost and time analysis was used to address some issues of logistics cost in Cambodia comparing to its neighboring countries: Thailand and Vietnam. Based on the time and cost analysis, it revealed that the logistics cost in Cambodia is much high than Thailand and Vietnam. In addition, some logistics issues were found through other two case studies about the export and trade facilitation. The participants raised some issues related to issuance of certificate of origin, the availability of information about agreements, laws, rules, and regulations, checkpoints along the corridor and opening hours of logistics service providers and slow processes. Then the authors suggested some appropriate solutions to answer to the current issues related to transport infrastructure and logistics sector in Cambodia.

Despite the global economic downturn, Beauty Industry is continuing to grow, Korea's growth rate is remarkable level. Despite this growth in order to maintain a steady growth since the beauty industry is small and polarization based on the Beauty-IT Convergence Technology creates new markets, that require development of Beauty-IT Convergence Industry. For the status and prospects of the Beauty Industry, some research has been carried out, not all the studies carried out so far for Beauty-IT Convergence Industry. Therefore, this study is significant that Beauty-IT Convergence Industry's first research. The global Beauty-IT Convergence Industry is at the beginning yet, tThe government selected research topics of Top-Down approach to Beauty-IT Convergence technology, granted extra points, supported by establishing long-term Technology Roadmap as other industries, such as by establishing a global market strategy for the systematic occupation and promising technology development planWe will get focused training.

  • This study analyzes the cause and the repairing method of water leak by parts of basement parking lot which is recorded to have a high defect frequency in apartment buildings. It has been assessed that the cause of water leakage on the first floor upper substrate is due to such factors as landscaping and weights. During construction or through other cases, it has been determined that cracks were produced in the apartment structure because the structure was weak and exposed to the effects of the substrate movement. The base floor and underground external walls are areas that are exposed to water pressure (uplife pressure), thus in normal cases the rear surface repair of the structure using sythetic rubberized polymer gel should be considered as an effective method. However, in cases where application of waterproofing layer is required in the structure due to high water pressure, using asystolic cement milk grout to form the waterproofing layer and applying water-swelling acrylic material into the cracked areas is considered to be highly effective.

  • Lately, recognition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been changing. CSR turned out to be a powerful tool which a company incorporates to improve its image. Nowadays, it is no longer an option, but a shared sense which is a source of corporate growth and competitiveness. CSR has changed with times and the economic environment, especially as the global value chain (GVC) came to be more vital, it became accepted as an effective means of growth strategy for small and medium exporters. For SMEs exporters, participating in GVC requires that they meet international standards for CSR demanded by global enterprises. Reflecting this trend, exporters should strive to achieve both goals of social responsibility fulfillment and efficient growth through CSR activities. As one of the key measures for a sustainable growth of an organization, the following are the policy implications. First, it is necessary to establish a national organization dedicated to CSR for small businesses. The central government should establish an organization which is exclusively responsible for CSR of SMEs and oversee the task of CSR of small businesses. Second, the development and verification of the CSV evaluation model should be promoted. The international trend of CSR should be promptly spread out to individual firms and supported to maximize economic effects through consultancy. Third, it should be linked to global advancement. CSR reports by small and mid-size businesses will have to be written to ensure that they have a real effect on the global value chain.

  • This study is focus on the relationship between the role of FTA and service trade performance enhancing strategy in Korea. and It is on the verification of the focus to the competitive promoting strategy of the logistics industry. finally proposition of the policy making to the government is proposed in the research. The invigoration of the service trade through FTA focus on the logistics industry is very combinative economy policy target with the side of government and the side of private enterprises both. added to this, this is the goal of impossible to achieve just with the development of logistics industry itself. it needs to construct the organic relationship, that is the implement and enforcement of the SCM through logistics industry network. Thus, on logistics, the 3rd party operating system implementation is top priority to gain international competitiveness. furthermore, the 4th party facilitation including consulting function and IT technology to pursue the maximum effectiveness logistics service providing.
