  • In this paper, resonance durability analysis technique is presented for the fatigue life assessment considering dynamic effect of a vehicle system. In the resonance durability analysis, the frequency response and the dynamic load on frequency domain are used. Multi-body dynamic analysis, finite element analysis, and fatigue life prediction method are applied for the virtual durability assessment. To obtain the frequency response and the dynamic load, the computer simulations running over typical pothole and Belgian road are carried out by utilizing vehicle dynamic model. The durability estimations on the rear suspension system of the passenger car are performed by using the presented technique and compared with the quasi-static durability analysis. The study shows that the fatigue life considering resonant frequency of vehicle system can be effectively estimated in early design stage.

  • Many companies have tried to develop the horizontally vibrating linear motor, for sliming the smart phone. Mathematical modeling and analysis is one of method to simulate the dynamic performance of the horizonatally vibrating linear motor. However, the horizontally vibrating linear motor vibrates in twisting mode because there are two kinds of force acting on the vibrating part. One is are the horizontal force by Lorentz force. The other is the vertical force by attraction force between magnet of vibrating part and bracket and the gravity force of vibrating part. However, those are very difficult to be included in mathematical modeling which generate the simulation errors. In this paper, we perform MFBD (multi flexible body dynamics) simulation using commercial dynamic analysis program "DAFUL". In our new model, the force effects those are neglected in mathematical model, are included. For the verification, the simulation results are compared with the experiment results with manufactured prototype.

  • In this paper, the behaviour of a cantilevered beam was predicted to examine the difference between linear and non-linear static, dynamic analysis for a structure by using CR nonlinear formulation. Then, external transverse static and dynamic loads were applied at the free tip of the beam. Classical theories were used for the present linear analysis and co-rotational dynamic FEM program was used for the present nonlinear analysis. In the static analysis, effects of the load for the beam deflection were observed in both linear and nonlinear analysis. Then, normalized displacement at the tip of the beam was predicted for different frequency ratio and a significant difference was obtained in the vicinity of the resonant frequency. In addition, effects of frequency and time for the beam deflection were investigated to find the frequency delay.

  • Dynamic analysis has been increased recently to analyze the effect of the blasting vibration on the rock mass as well as the surrounding structures. The major input parameter far the general dynamic analysis, however, is merely the blasting pressure which can be obtained from the blasting pressure-time history curves. But in case of the complicate geological condition it is not simple to apply the blasting pressure on the numerical analysis because e ground vibration characteristics should be obtained considering the complexity of ground condition. Therefore the authors tried to use the blasting vibration waveform as an input data This vinylation frequency could be obtained from the test blasting in the Pasir mine, Indonesia. Through the dynamic numerical analysis on the slopes in Pasir, the current situation of this slope could be simulated precisely.

  • Since blast-induced vibration may cause serious problem to the rock mass as well as the nearby structures, the prediction of blast-induced vibration and the stability evaluation must be performed before blasting activities. Dynamic analysis using measurement vibration waveform which is measured by bore hole blasting or test blasting has been increased recently in order to analyze the effect of the blast-induced vibration. The waveform made by bore hole blasting has the similar vibration level and duration to those the waveform of sing hole has. However, there can be a little difference in attenuation characteristics with the blast induced vibration waveform in the field. Through the superposition modeling of single hole waveform, I obtained the vibration waveform on the blasting condition changes and conducted dynamic analysis using this waveform in this study.

  • This paper presented a design and a control of a biped walking RGO and walking simulation by this system. The biped walking RGO was distinguished from the other one by which had a very light-weight and a new RGO type with 12-servo motors. The vibration evaluation of the dynamic PLS on the biped walking RGO was used to access by the 3-axis accelerometer with a low frequency vibration for the spinal cord injuries. The gait of a biped walking RGO depended on the constrains of mechanical kinematics and the initial posture. The stability of dynamic walking was investigated by a ZMP (Zero Moment Point) of the biped walking RGO. It was designed according to a human wear type and was able to accomodate itself to a human environments. The joints of each leg were adopted with a good kinematic characteristics. To test of the analysis of joint kinematic properties, we did the strain stress analysis of the dynamic PLS and the analysis study of FEM with a dynamic PLS. It will be expect that the spinal cord injury patients are able to recover effectively with a biped walking RGO.

  • In this study, computational structural dynamic analyses of a gyrocopter have been conducted considering unsteady dynamic hub-loads due to rotating blades. 3D CATIA models with detailed mechanical parts we constructed and virtually assembled into the complete aircraft configuration. The dynamic loading generated by rotating blades in the forward flight condition are calculated by a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code such as FLUENT. Modal based transient and frequency response analyses are used to efficiently investigate vibration characteristics of the gyrocopter. Free vibration analysis results for different fuel and pilot conditions, frequency responses and transient responses for critical flight conditions are also presented in detail.

  • Asymmetric beams cause complicated vibration phenomena due to the inherent bending-torsion coupled vibration. In this paper, an exact dynamic element matrix for the bending-torsion coupled vibration of asymmetric beam is derived. An application of the derived exact dynamic element matrix is demonstrated by an illustrative example, wherein the natural frequencies by the proposed modeling method are compared with those available in the literature. Another numerical example is also illustrated which deals with a general beam with joints. The numerical study shows that the exact dynamic element model is useful for the dynamic analysis of asymmetric bending-torsion coupled beams.
