A Comparative Study on the Characteristics of Vibration Propagation during Open-Pit Blasting using Electric and Electronic Detonators (전기 및 전자뇌관을 이용한 노천발파 시 진동전파 특성에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Recently, Electronic Detonators have gradually increased their performance for various purposes such as vibration control and improved Fragmentation. This study analyzed the vibration estimation equations of electric and electronic detonator blast by comprehensive analysis of the vibration data collected during electric and electronic detonator blast waves at the comparison sites of urban areas, geology and soil conditions, stone quarries and mines in different areas of Korea from June 2017 to December 2018. It has been confirmed that electronic detonator blast can meet the criteria for allowing vibration even if maximum charge weight per delay is increased by 1.5 times compared to the electric detonator blast.

  • Although the construction noise and vibration are transient and intermittent, their impact on the surrounding environment is huge. Since the construction equipment noise and vibration is usually transmitted because of the long distance, the sound insulation and the proper design of anti-vibration measures are very difficult. The regulation requires that the noise and vibration caused by the construction equipments should be measured within 30m from the source, whereas the blasting noise and vibration should be measured at least 60m and 160m away from the source, respectively. Instead of the 2D modelling mainly conducted so far, the 3D analysis of noise and vibration with the consideration of the height and size of the building, mountains and hills in the vicinity of the source is necessary.

  • This study explores the slot-drilling method that has not yet enough been studied in Korea and intends to provide a theoretical framework for putting the method into practice in a construction site. The possible reduction of ground vibration by implementing slot-drilling methods is addressed. Two main subjects dealt with include the variation of vibration velocity that is based on the distance between the slot-drilling and the epicenter of blasting and the analysis of appropriate effective dimension of slot-drilling width and height to control blasting vibration. This study shows that effect of vibration reduction decreases when distance of the slot-drilling and the epicenter of blasting is getting larger and also reveals that there is a correlation between the slot size and the vibration velocity at any point.

  • Test blasting has been performed with V-cut to investigate the characteristics. Blasting vibrations were measured at two directions, the proceed direction and side direction. Propagation characteristics were determined by regression analysis; square root scaled distance and cube root scaled distance with maximum charge per delay of the blast. Testing result, The cross point was 62m in the allowable vibration velocity of 3mm/sec and 46m In 5mm/sec. Also, vibration level with measuring point was highest and decayed fastest, adapting to cube root scaled distance, for the proceed direction on ground.

  • Longitudinal hull girder vibration has not been occurred severely since 1960's. However, recent low speed diesel driven ships equipped with overcritical shafting system, can be excited heavily in longitudinal direction by shaft axial farce coupled with torsional vibration. In this study the characteristics of longitudinal hull girder vibration of a 73,000 deadweight bulk carrier were investigated through onboard measurement, exciter test, and 3-D FEM analysis. Results showed that the longitudinal hullgirder vibration may occur in the ship which is not set up the barred speed range in engine operation. Moreover, this vibration occurs. only during the low speed voyage in harbour depending upon the ship loading condition.

  • This paper describes the analysis method about the dynamic characteristics and vibratory load through HDS(Helicopter Design Study). To analyze the dynamic characteristics of helicopter rotor blade, the natural frequencies and modes are calculated according to rotor operational speed(Ω). Generally the proximity of rotor natural frequency and N times of rotor operational speed is a dominant component to determine the helicopter vibration. Also we can predict the airframe vibration by calculating the airload of rotating blade exactly. We expect to establish the design procedure of rotor dynamics by describing the two major analysis methods necessary to rotor design.

  • These days, mining industry prefers underground development for large mining because of exhaustive minning resources and large drafts and mining cavities thanks to extensive distribution of heavy excavation machines. In a mining design, to control collapse of cavities and secure stability, design of cavities and pillars are considered as very important. Therefore, this study obtained a prediction equation of blasting vibration through instrumentation for underground cavities. And we obtained theoretical shock vibration imposed on pillar through fragmentation analysis and measurement of flyrock distance. To examine the influence of pillar in underground mining blasting, we carried a finite element analysis and compared the result with prediction equation of blasting vibration, and shock vibration of flyrock when a impact was imposed on pillar and theoretical shock vibration.

  • 최근 환경오염이 심각한 사회문제로 대두됨에 따라 환경오염원을 제거하기 위한 여러 가지의 집진장치가 개발되고 있는데 화력발전소에서는 건식정전집진장치(dry electrostatic precipitator)를 이용하고 있다. 건식정전집진장치는 햄머(hammer) 방식의 충격장치를 설치하여 집진극과 방전극에 충격을 가함으로써 충격력을 극대화시키고 높은 분진박리 효과를 꾀하고 있는데 환경오염원이 되고 있는 집진판의 분진의 분리율을 높이기 위해서는 집진판의 전체 영역에서 분진을 동일하게 떨어뜨릴 수 있는 충격장치가 설계되어야 하는데, 이를 위해서는 충격하중에 따른 집진판의 진동 형태를 정확하게 분석하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 집진판의 충격하중에 따른 진동의 형태를 분석하기 위해 펄스 레이저를 이용한 2중 노출 홀로그래피 시스템을 구성하였다. 홀로그래픽 간섭계는 이미 오래 전에 개발된 레이저 응용 계측기법으로서 주로 정현적인 진동을 하는 진동체의 진동 현상을 연구하는 데에 많이 사용되어 왔는데 그 기술 개발은 상당한 수준에 있다. 그러나 종래의 기술들은 주로 헬륨-네온(He-Ne)레이저와 같은 연속 레이저(continuous wave laser)를 이용한 기술들인데 최근에는 루비(ruby) 레이저와 같은 펄스 레이저 (pulse laser)를 이용한 기술이 많이 응용되고 있다. 이 펄스 레이저 홀로그래픽 간섭계를 Gottenberg는 응력파에 의해서 발생된 변형을 측정하기 위해 사용하였고 Aprahamian등은 보(beam)와 평판의 굽힘파(bending wave)의 전파 특성 연구에 이용하였다. 그 실험적 결과는 수치적 해석 결과와 비교되어 매우 좋은 일치성을 보였는데 이러한 펄스 레이져 홀로그래픽 간섭계 기법의 주요 장점은 어떠한 특정한 순간에 관찰하고자 하는 시험편의 전체 영역의 파동 전파 형상을 관찰할 수 있다는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 펄스 레이저를 응용한 2중 노출 홀로그래피법(double exposure holography method)을 이용해서 집진판에 충격하중이 가해졌을 때 발생하는 진동이 발생과 전파 특성을 충격하중의 방향에 따라서 분석하였다.

Design Parameter Identification Using Transfer Function of Liquid Column Vibration Absorber (LCVA) (전달함수를 이용한 LCVA의 설계변수 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the transfer function of input acceleration and output control force by linearizing a velocity-dependent damping term of Liquid Column Vibration Absorber (LCVA). Analytical and experimental research is conducted to identify natural frequency, damping ratio and participated mass ratio of LCVA with various section ratios of vertical and horizontal areas. Findings obtained experimentally by the shaking table test are compared with analytical findings using optimization technique with constraints. The results indicate that the level of liquid and section ratio of LCVA affect the characteristics of damping ratio and mass ratio. Damping and mass ratio increase as the section of vertical column of LCVA decreases, due to turbulence in the elbow of LCVA.

  • Twelve Korean monophthongs were studied by formant analysis, fundamental frequencies and their harmonics were considered as the parameters of analysis. The analyzed data were twelve Korean monophthongs which were pronounced with the five fundamental frequencies by the five male vocal musicians. The study shows that the first and the second formants are characterized by the resonance of the cavities of pharymx and mouth, respectively. The lip rounding effect detreases the second formant frequency. The phonemes of $[a]/[\alpha ], [e]/[\varepsilon] and [\partial]/[\Lambda]$were not distinguished well in this formant analysis.
