The vacuum-glazing panel is a panel that keeps two glasses completely sealed in a vacuum condition. It is the high function insulation material of having the wall level minimizing the heat loss by the conduction and convection heat transmission coefficient. The edge sealing is a very important process of vacuum glass on the strength, thickness and air tightness. In this study, by using the hydrogen mixture gas torch, two sheets of glass was sealing in the furnace. The thickness and strength of the glass according to the process parameters is measurement and analysis, and predicting the edge sealing strength of glass by using taguchi method of experiment. We verified the validity of the experiment by checking the error rate through additional experiment.

The superposed discharge type ozonizer of high ozone concentration using vacuum discharge tube has been designed and manufactured. It consists of three electrodes(central electrode, internal electrode, and external electrode) and one discharge gap(discharge gap between internal electrode and external electrode), is a superposed silent discharge type ozonizer for which the AC high voltages applied to the central electrode within discharge tube and the internal electrode has a $180{[^\circ]}$ phase difference and for which the external electrode is a ground. Ozone is generated by overlapping silent discharge between central electrode and external electrode, and silent discharge between internal electrode and external electrode. At the moment, discharge characteristics and ozone generation characteristics were investigated in accordance with vacuum of discharge tube, discharge power of ozonizer, and quantity of supplied oxygen gas. In consequence, high ozone concentration can be obtained 8840[ppm].

Graphene is a carbon based material and it has intriguing features, such as phenomenally strong, thin, flexible, transparent and conductive, those make it attractive for a broad range of applications.Unfortunately, graphene is extremely sensitive to contamination. When we fabricate graphene devices, electrical properties of graphene are altered [1], and the charge carrier mobility drops accordingly by orders of magnitude. This significant impact on electron mobility occurs because any surrounding medium could act as a dominant source of extrinsic scattering, which effectively reduces the mean free path of carriers [2,3]. The dominant contaminant is generated through fabrication stage by polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) [4], or photo resist (PR). Surface contamination by these residues has long been a critical problem in probing graphene's intrinsic properties. If we clearly solve this problem, we can get highly performed graphene devices. Here, we will report on graphene cleaning process by Induced Coupled Plasma (ICP). We demonstrated how much decomposition of residue impact on improving electrical properties of graphene.
Current feeder system (CFS) for Korea superconducting tokamak advanced research(KSTAR) project plays a role to interconnect magnet power supply (MPS) and superconducting (SC) magnets through the normal bus-bar at the room temperature(300 K) environment and the SC bus-line at the low temperature (4.5 K) environment. It is divided by two systems, i.e., toroidal field system which operates at 35 kA DC currents and poloidal field system wherein 20$\sim$26 kA pulsed currents are applied during 350 s transient time. Aside from the vacuum system of main cryostat, an independent vacuum system was constructed for the CFS in which a roughing system is consisted by a rotary and a mechanical booster pump and a high vacuum system is developed by four cryo-pumps with one dry pump as a backing pump. A self interlock and its control system, and a supervisory interlock and its control system are also established for the operational reliability as well. The entire CFS was completely tested including the reliability of local/supervisory control/interlock, helium gas leakage, vacuum pressure, and so on.

The characteristic and properties of materials are rapidly degraded when subjected to the synergistic effects of the space environment such as atomic oxygen, radiation, vacuum and thermal cycling. In order to understand the mechanism of material property variation in space environment and to develop new space materials applicable to the future space program, advanced space organizations such as NASA, ESA and JAXA have been continuing many researches on material test specimens used on ISSE(International Space Station Experiment) or LDEF(Long Duration Exposure Facility). In this paper, the selection requirements and verification trend of materials in space applications
In-cryostat helium lines are under installation to transfer a cryogenic helium into cold components in KSTAR device. In KSTAR, three kinds of helium should be supplied into the cold components, which are supercritical helium Into superconduction(SC) magnet system, liquid helium into current lead system, and gas helium into thermal shields. Cryogenic helium lines consist of transfer lines outside the cryostat, in-cryostat helium lines, and electrical breaks. In-cryostat helium lines should be guaranteed of leak tightness for tong time operation at high internal helium pressure of 20 bar. We wrapped the helium line with multi-layer insulator(MLI) to reduce radiation heat and insulated the surface of the high potential part with prepreg tape. The electrical break was fabricated by brazing ceramic tube with stainless steel tube. To ensure the operation reliability at operation temperature, all the electrical break have been examined by the thermal cycle test at liquid nitrogen and by the hydraulic test at 30 bar. And additional surface insulation was prepared with prepreg tape to give structural safety. At present most of the in-cryostat helium lines have been installed and the final inspection test is progressing.
KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) current lead system (CLS) has a role to interconnect magnet power supply (MPS) in room temperature (300 K) and superconducting (SC) bus-line, electrically. For the first plasma experiments, it should be assembled 4 current leads (CL) on toroidal field (TF) current lead box (CLB) and 14 leads on poloidal field (PF) CLB. Two current leads, with the design currents 17.5 kA, and SC bus-lines are connected in parallel to supply 35 kA DC currents on TF magnet. Whereas, it could supply $20\;{\sim}\;26\;kA$ to each pairs of PF magnets during more than 350 s. At the cold terminals of the leads, there are joined SC bus-lines and it was constructed helium coolant control system, aside from main tokamak system, to protect heat flux through current leads and enhanced Joule heat due to supplied currents. Throughout the establishment processes, it was tested the high vacuum pumping, helium leak of the helium lines and hardwares mounted between the helium lines, flow controls for CL, and liquid nitrogen cool-down of possible parts (current leads, CL helium lines, and thermal shield helium lines for CLB), for the accomplishment of the required performances.
Changes in saponin composition and microstructure of ginseng by microwave vacuum drying were determined. Korean fresh ginsengs were subjected to four different processing : 3 min microwave vacuum drying and 2 min holding-24 hrs drying (MWVD1), 5 min microwave vacuum drying and 2.5 min holding-24 hrs drying (MWVD2), 3 min microwave vacuum drying and 2 min holding-12 hrs drying after hot air drying for 12 hrs drying at $45^{\circ}C$ (HMWVD1), 5 min microwave vacuum drying and 2.5 min holding-12 hrs drying after hot air drying for 12 hrs at $45^{\circ}C$ (HMWVD2). The water content was decreased until 16.82% without shrinkage and water activity was 0.54 after microwave vacuum drying. The lipid content was decreased after microwave vacuum drying (MVD). Glucose was increased after MVD while sucrose decreased. Ginsenoside-Rb1 and ginsenoside-Rc were decreased after MVD. Ginsenoside-Rg1 for MWVD2 and HMWVD2 was higher than that of MWVD1 AND HMWVD1. MWVD1 AND HMWVD1 dried ginsengs showed a more compact structure than the HMWVD2 and HMWVD2 ginsengs.
