  • This paper proposes the method to increase the current direct load control program by inspecting the problems of the DLC program. In order to increase the number of the customers participating DLC program, a raise of the base incentive and the direct load control incentive is suggested based on the interruption cost of electric power considering the characteristics of kinds of load.

  • In this paper, a new control strategy of a series active power filter suing direct compensating voltage extraction method is proposed. The proposed series active power filter and shunt passive filters are used 3-phase 3-wire power system with nonlinear load. The series active power filter complements drawbacks of the shunt passive filter and contributes to a source side harmonic reduction. We can extract the compensating voltage of the series active power filter using performance function without phase transformations. Therefore, the calculating time is short and the control method is simple compared with conventional methods. Experimental results verify that the system using the proposed method appears a good performance.

  • A new control method for a single-phase active power filter, based on a load current estimation using a DC capacitor voltage of active power filter without sensing nonlinear load current, is proposed in this paper. Because the method proposed can remove the load current sensor in comparison with a conventional method sensing the load current and DC capacitor voltage together, it can make the active power filter easy installation, low cost, small size with no performance detriment. In addition, sample-hold technique and proportional control method is adopted to control the DC capacitor voltage and as no delay element such as LPF or PI control in the conventional method is used, the transient response is fast and good. Operation of a single-phase active power filter which consist of eight mode is explained according to utility voltage, compensation current and switch state, and compensation characteristics of active power filter using proposed method is verified by experiment.

  • Recently, the power load is growing larger and because of the environmental limitation of generation, the expansion of generation facilities are becoming more difficult. For that reason the importance of the demand-side resources come to be higher. One method of the demand-side resource, the DLC Program, has executed, and moreover, the loads which are available to be controlled are increasing. It should be considered of some kinds of power system components such as DLCs, because the fact that using the demand resources will be an important part of the power system. This paper considers the power factor of the load-bus which is shedded in the direct load control program. and then analyze the power system using flow sensitivity and voltage sensitivity. In this paper, we assumed two scenarios through the rank of the load power factor at each bus and to compare and evaluate each case, we used Power World for the simulation.

  • This paper presents direct load control algorithm based locational and electric load characteristics. Direct load control is defined that demand-side management program activities that can interrupt consumer load at the time of annual peak load by direct control of the utility system operator by interruption power supply to individual appliances or equipment on consumer premises. Korean power system is divided into 14-areas considering branches operating in KEPCO, and electric loads are classified into 19 load groups considering interruption costs in this paper. The purpose of proposed method is to decrease social losses by controlling electric loads mainly whose interruption costs are low. It is expected that the proposed algorithm can be used as the countermeasure for the emergency state of the electric power dispatch in a operation point of view.

  • This paper proposes a process using the load shedding scenario method that determines the minimum local load shedding quantity considering the local DLC(Direct Load Control) potentials. So this method is applied to Kyung-In area and determined the load shedding of this area with comparison to its DLC potentials.

영광 3,4호기 원자로 제어봉 제어계통 설계내용 분석

  • 국내 최초 운전경험을 갖는 CE 형 원전 설계인 영광 원자력 발전소 3,4호기의 제어봉 제어구동 설비는 시운전 시험 과정 중 제어봉 제어용 전원설비의 전기적 잡음에 의해 일부 제어봉이 미끄러짐으로서 원자로가 계속적으로 불시정지 되었다. 이와 같은 현상으로 이미 국내에서도 가동중인 고리 원자력 발전소 2호기에서도 고주파 용접기의 전도성 잡음에 의하여 제어봉 제어회로에 영향을 주어 여러차례 원자로 정지를 겪은바 있다. 따라서 원자력 안전기술원에서 제어봉 미끄러짐의 원인을 조사결과 직접적인 원인은 제어봉 전원공급 설비에서 발생된 전기적 잡음에 의해 제어봉 제어회로의 오동작 및 발전소 부하탈락 시험시 소내전원 주파수 상승으로 제어봉 코일에 정격이하의 저전압이 공급됨으로서 원자로가 불시 정지 됨을 확인 하였다.

  • This paper concerned about a study on the direct pole placement PID self-tuning controller design for DC servo motor control system. The method of a direct pole placement self-tuning PID control for a DC servo motor of Robot manipulator tracks a reference velocity in spite of the parameters uncertainties in nonminimum phase system. In this scheme, the parameters of classical controller are estimated by the recursive least square (RLS)identification algorithm, the pole placement method and diophantine equation. A series of simulation in which minimum phase system and nonminimum phase system are subjected to a pattern of system parameter changes is presented to show some of the features of the proposed control algorithm. The proposed control algorithm which shown are effective for the practical application, and experiments of DC servo motor speed control for Robot manipulator by a microcomputer IBM-PC/AT are performed and the results are well suited.

  • 본 연구는 새로운 부하(고온의 저장물)가 냉장실 내부에 인입됨에 따라 발생하는 온도불균형을 해소하기 위해 채택된 집중냉각 방식에 있어서의 회전날개의 정지각도 결정 알고리즘 관한 것으로, 특히 냉장실내의 온도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 압축기 (Compressor) 및 냉기팬(냉기를 냉장실내에 불어넣기 위한 팬)의 운전상황을 입력으로 냉장실내 여러 영역에서의 온도를 추정하는 퍼지적응모델을 이용하여 온도불균형 영역을 검지하고, 이에 따라 회전날개의 각도를 제어함으로서 냉장실 내부의 온도평형을 신속히 이루게하는 특징을 가지고 있다.

  • This paper presents an implementation of high-dynamic performance of position sensorless motion control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives for an industrial servo system with direct torque control(DTC). The problems of high-dynamic performance and maximum efficiency RSM drives controlled by DTC are saturation of stator linkage flux and nonlinear inductance characteristics with various load currents. The accurate estimation of the stator flux and torque are obtained using stator flux observer of which a saturated inductance $L_d$ and $L_q$ can be compensated by adapting from measurable the modulus of the stator current and rotor position. To obtain fast torque response and maximum torque/current with varying load current, the reference command flux is ensured by imposing $I_{ds} = I_{qs}$. This control strategy is proposed to achieve fast response and optimal efficiency for RSM drive. In order to prove rightness of the suggested control algorithm, the actual experiment carried out at $\pm$20 and $\pm$1500 rpm. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system shown good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0kW RSM which has 2.57 Ld/Lq salient ratio.
