Task Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Turnover Intension of Center for Children's Foodservice Management Employees (어린이급식관리지원센터 직원의 업무만족, 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도)

  • The objective of this study was to provide information on difficulty of performing tasks, degree of task satisfaction, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention as well as investigate correlations among these factors. Data were collected on employees working at Centers for Children's Foodservice Management, which had been operating for over 6 months until December 2013. The recruitment period was from December 16, 2013 to January 30, 2014. A total of 228 employees (79.7%) participated in the study, and 227 completed questionnaires were analyzed. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SPSS V20.0 and AMOS V21.0 programs. The main results of this study were as follows: task satisfaction of employees in charge of 'visiting-teaching' for children was highest (4.24 points), whereas that of employees in charge of financial management was lowest (2.92 points). In terms of evaluation of job satisfaction factors, the score of 'co-worker' was highest (3.99 points) while that of 'payment' was lowest (2.45 points). Average scores of general job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention were 3.56 points, 3.54 points, and 3.07 points, respectively. Job achievement was the most significant influencing factor on general job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. According to the path analysis results, the degree of task satisfaction affected job satisfaction. Organizational commitment had a more significant effect on turnover intention than job satisfaction and mediate both job satisfaction and turnover intention. Although employees of CCFSMs endeavor to improve the quality of child-care facility foodservice, some facilities do not. Controlling turnover intention of employees is especially critical for CCFSMs since it is important for each employees to form strong bonds with child-care facilities as well as to shorten the time required to train new employees. Thus, job satisfaction, which is related to organizational commitment and turnover intention, can be improved by considering poorly scored job satisfaction factors such as wage or workload.

  • '71년부터 매 5년마다 실시되어 올해로 5번째를 맞는 전국 장내 기생충 감염율 실태조사의 가검물 수집이 이제 막바지에 이르고 있다. 기생충검사 무용론이 고개를 들고 있는 요즈음의 상황에서 새벽부터 밤늦게까지 가가호호를 방문하여 채변봉투를 나누어 주고, 또 대변을 수집해오는 일을 게을리하지 않았던 건협 시도지부직원들의 숨은 노력으로 큰 어려움없이 실태조사가 이루어질 수 있었음을 잊어서는 안될 것 같다. 그동안의 우리나라 기생충관리의 총 결산이 되고, 새로운 기생충관리의 총 결산이 되고, 새로운 기생충관리 방향 모색에 잇어 중요한 역할을 하게 될 이번 실태조사의 마지막날까지 지역주민들의 적극적 협조를 바라면서 실태조사 가검물 수집과정의 일들을 이번 호에 실어본다.

A Study on Users' Perception of Reference Services in National Archives of Korea (국가기록원 기록정보서비스에 대한 이용자 인식에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the perception and experience of users who visited in Seoul office of the National Archives, a branch of the National Archives of Korea(NAK). For collecting data, the study utilized the Researcher Survey Toolkit developed by Archival Metrics Project and revised the questionnaire to reflect services of NAK. Questionnaires completed by 47 users were collected and analyzed, and interviews with one survey respondent and two staff were performed. It was found that the purpose of the visit is mostly to identify records that prove land ownership of users' ancestors. Types of records frequently used were also those concerning lands and forests. User feedback on the staff was generally positive, and users perceived them to be helpful and kind. However, there was an opinion that the staff did not provide accurate information about whether NAK hold records that the user wanted to find. The staff also said that it was challenging to confirm where requested records are located when providing services for users. User evaluation on the usefulness and the ease of use of NAK portal services was not very positive, and it was perceived to be very inconvenient to search in the portal. Overall, users were satisfied with the services of NAK, although some users suggested that services need be provided efficiently, and NAK must clarify the criteria for the non-disclosure of public records.

A Study on Developing the Evaluation Items for the Green Libraries Certification (녹색도서관 인증을 위한 평가항목 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to develop and propose the evaluation indicators to evaluate the eco-friendliness of the library, when certified as the eco-friendly Green Libraries. To do this, we extracted the green library components through an analysis of the green library literatures and case studies, and surveyed the perceptions of the library staffs about the assessment factors. Finally, we developed the green library evaluation index with 11 evaluation areas, 31 evaluation items, and 135 evaluation indicators. The 11 evaluation areas are as follows; Land use and transportation, energy and environmental protection, materials and resources, water cycle management, maintenance management, ecological environment, the indoor environment, the library resources, the eco-education programs and campaigns, the staff and operations, and the computerization.

  • The active engagement of the organization employees in the quality management activities of the construction project promotes the achievement of successful management performance. This study seeks to find a mechanism to promote employee engagement. The preceding factors that promote employee engagement through previous research are employee rewards system and satisfaction. In order to verify the proposed research model, sample data of 232 construction project employees were collected and analyzed through a structural equation model. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that all the proposed variables had a significant effect on the employee engagement and the moderate effect according to the employee's position and labor contract. The results of this study are expected to provide useful theoretical and practical implications for researchers and managers seeking ways to promote the engagement of organization employees from a broader perspective for the activation of quality management activities of construction companies.

  • Many organizations are applying robotic process automation (RPA) to automate repetitive and rule based tasks to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of works. Some members are willing to join the projects hoping to eliminate annoying and meaningless tasks, but others are resisting this innovation fearing that they may lose their jobs. In this study, both positive and negative antecedents are posited to influence the performance in adopting RPA. The effects of relative advantage, compatibility, change management effect, innovation resistance and satisfaction, conclusively to performance improvement were examined via a survey of 109 employees involved in the 11 RPA projects in a manufacturing company, and the structural equation model analysis. The research considering the consumer characteristics of the innovation resistance model can be followed for the development of individualized change management strategy.

  • 소규모 업체를 모델로 비효율적인 업무의 문제점을 분석하여 이를 설계하고 구현하였다. 전체 기능은 기초정보관리, 판매관리, 재고관리, 고객관리로 구성하였다. 특정 소규모 점포의 업무를 전산 시스템화하는 것이 목표이다. 그러나 구현될 시스템은 규모가 큰 완벽한ERP가 아닌 직원 1인인 업체의 특별한 업무시스템으로 구현되어 진다. 시스템의 구성은 확인된 사용자에 대하여 각종 데이터를 입력하고 각종 전표 및 현황을 출력하는 형태로 구성되어진다. 본 시스템은 어느 한 회사의 국한되지 않은 패키지형태의 시스템이다.
