Effect of the Component of Professionalism and Critical Thinking Disposition on Job Competency

  • This study examined the effects of professionalism and critical thinking disposition on job competency in nursing service workers. Furthermore, we explored the interactive impact of critical thinking disposition in terms of component factors in the relationship between the influence of professionalism on job performance. Our research results were as follows. First, we found that the self-concept of the profession and originality of the job in the professional view has a significant effect on job performance. Second, we discovered that systematicity and objectivity in the critical thinking disposition significantly affect job performance. Third, we found an interaction effect between each component of professionalism and critical thinking disposition. This study is significant because it is approached from the perspective of components of professionalism and the critical thinking disposition to improve job performance. In addition, the results of this study will contribute to the management of professionalism and essential dispositions of thinking to enhance nursing service workers' job performance.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 성장과 함께 분산 네트워크 환경 하에서의 정보 검색 문제는 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 기하급수적으로 증가하는 정보의 홍수 속에서 사용자가 원하는 정보나 서비스를 효율적으로 찾아주는 방법은 꾸준히 연구되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 멀티에이전트(Multi-agent)환경 하에서 원하는 서비스를 제공하는 에이전트들을 효율적으로 탐색해 주는 에이전트간의 매치메이킹(Matchmaking) 시스템은 좋은 해결방안이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 확장 매치메이킹 알고리즘은 중개 에이전트가 특정 도메이 지식을 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 문제에 대한 표현과 추론 과정이 명확한 CSP로 모델링 함으로써 불필요한 탐색 공간을 효율적으로 제거하도록 하였으며, 서비스 요청 에이전트의 요구사항을 만족시키면서 가능한 한 중복되는 에이전트 쌍이 최소화 되도록 일반적인 유사도(Similarity)와 함께 새로운 경쟁도(Competition)를 고려하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘이 기존의 매치메이킹 알고리즘보다 더 효율적인 것을 보이기 위해 온라인 인력 채용박람회를 모델로 하여 중개 에이전트가 직업을 구하는 서비스 요청 에이전트와 인재를 모집하는 서비스 공급 에이전트간의 매치메이킹 문제에 대해 실험 평가하였다.

The Analysis on the Efficiency of the Program for Job-seeking Efficacy of the Disabled (장애인의 구직효능감을 위한 구직역량프로그램 효과 분석)

  • This study analyzed the efficiency of a program designed for enforcing the job-seeking ability to overcome the career-barriers as well as the effect of the job-seeking efficacy toward the job-maintaining willingness of the disabled. For this research, the job-seeking ability enforcement program, which was started by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, was executed towards the 86 disabled by 7 sessions, which has been operated 6 hours a day for 4 days per week from December in 2012 to November in 2013. The survey for the study was taken twice with the same questionnaire toward the same object; one was a pre-survey that has been done before operating the program and the other was a pro-survey that was done after operating the program. The data was analyzed to obtain the 4 variables of job-seeking efficacy to overcome the career-barriers, which were self-efficacy, job-seeking skill, interpersonal relationship skill and job-information exploration and the 5th variable, job-maintaining willingness. The study findings were as follows. Firstly, the program efficiency was significant in interpersonal relationship skill and job-information exploration, while not significant in self-efficacy and job-seeking skill. Secondly, the self-efficacy and interpersonal relationship skill among the job-seeking efficacy to overcome career-barriers positively affects the job-maintaining willingness.

  • To realize various opportunities to choose careers for adolescent sports players, first, it is necessary to help them choose a job suitable for each student's aptitude. In reality, adolescent sports players absolutely have insufficient time for choosing various careers unlike general adolescents and realizing them. Thus, differentiated and specialized convergence learning materials are needed by each job cluster suitable for adolescent sports players' aptitude. The learning materials, specialized for these individual job clusters are a method to show a great effect on education with investing the minimum time, so they have a high value for utilization as necessary learning information for the realization of various opportunities to choose various careers for adolescent sports players.

A Study on Students' Need for Free Learning Semester Programs of Libraries (도서관의 자유학기제 프로그램에 대한 학생수요조사 연구)

  • The present study investigates the seventh and the eighth graders' perception of Free Learning Semester Programs offered by libraries by developing a survey questionnaire on students' needs for Free Learning Semester Programs of Libraries. The skills that middle school students want to improve in Free Learning Semesters are career exploration skills, and the type of Free Learning Semester that is most intensively implemented is career exploration activities. Programs are often offered in the form of experiential classes. Regarding the activities that the students want to participate during Free Learning Semester, the most preferred activities included field experience activity in the career exploration domain, cooking class in the student choice program, smartphone app development in club activities, design activity in the art domain, the badminton in the physical education domain, and using iPad in the information use skills. In addition, among the library programs in coordination with Free Learning Semester, the students liked the occupational experience program most. Future studies need to include the development and implementation of Free Learning Semester Programs based on students' opinions, and investigate their satisfaction with the Free Learning Semester Programs offered by libraries.

How Digital Camera Has Changed Photographers? A Phenomenological Approach of Digital Labor (디지털 사진 이후 사진가들의 변화 현상학적 접근을 중심으로)

  • This study examines photographers who experienced steep changes from film to digital photography working and photography culture after using digital camera through a phenomenological approach. Digital technologies have brought many transition. Most of all digital camera popularize photography among people who had no knowledge and experience about camera. On the contrary digital photography made many professional photographers difficulties. After being digital photography, most film companies and film developing and printing studios have diminished. In addition many professional photographers have to cover increasing working time by decreasing photography price. For this research researcher interviewed 12 professional photographers who is working as a digital photographer. After collecting data, researcher analyse data by phenomenological approach. This study is looking for a meaning of photographers' labor after digital photography times.

A Study on Career Education through Visual Thinking and Social Network Service (비주얼 씽킹과 SNS를 활용한 진로교육에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve career awareness of students by using visual thinking and SNS. In addition, parents' interest about their children 's career was increased, and career guidance suitable for the development stage of elementary school students' education was searched to find out the course appropriate for their aptitude and ability. The results of the comparative study showed that the experimental group had a significant effect on the opinions and attitudes toward career, information search and rational decision making, and knowledge on occupation. Research shows that career-based education using visual thinking and SNS has a positive effect of encouraging students' career awareness and positive attitude toward career search.

The Change of Media and Emerging Journalistic Norm and Value: An exploration Based on the Young-hee Rhee's Idea (뉴미디어 환경과 언론인 직업 규범의 변화: 리영희 언론정신을 통한 탐색연구)

  • This study investigates normative role model of the journalists under the changing environment. Firstly, this article explores what pressure the new media environment gives to the journalists in their routine of news production and distribution. These are stated from the angle of epistemological, professional and interactive pressure. Next, as a reference for the standard journalism in the age of mass media, the idea of Rhee Young-hee, a late journalist who won respects from many Korean journalists, is studied. His firm belief in the pursuit of hard facts, rigorous investigative writing and expertism are spelt out. Then, this study explores how, in real term, this pressure changes the journalistic value, norm and practices in the newsroom. Ten of Koran journalists are interviewed in order to get their idea about the emerging journalistic standards under the digital environment. From this in-depth interviews, it is conclued that the pursuit of hard fact, investigative writing, expertism of Rhee Young-hee are, nonetheless the change of the media technology, still effective and provide good reference points for the enhancement of the standard of journalism in Korea. However, it is also suggested that the methods to fulfil desirable journalism in the digital age should be different from that of the mass communication age. The interviewees make propose that the journalist, as a network node, news curator or coordinator, should actively interact with the audiences facilitating their enhanced potential as a news 'prosumer'(producer and consumer).

On general models of information seeking, applicable in multiple contexts. occupations, roles, and knowledge domains were focused. The models by Wilson. Krikelas. Dervin, Ellis. Kuhlthau, Leckie, and Johnson were examined chronologically.

An Investigation on the Future Recognition of Career Counselors and their Future Competency and Future Adaptability change by using the Future Workshop (미래워크숍을 활용한 진로직업상담가의 미래인식과 미래역량 및 미래적응력 변화 탐색)

  • This investigation was conducted to derive future recognition and future competency of career counselors using future workshops and to verify the effectiveness of improving future adaptability. For this purpose, the future workshop was conducted for 25 career counselors and the data written and the discussion contents of the future workshop were analyzed. For analysis, word frequency analysis and corresponding sample T-verification were conducted, and the main words were derived through consensus. The results, First, the keywords of future recognition showed high frequency of robot, artificial intelligence, leisure, education, convenience, and the disabled. Second, the future labor sites projected the most changes due to high technology. Third, at the career counseling site, professional career counselors and robot counselors related to the fourth industrial revolution are expected to appear. Fourth, future competencies of career counselors were derived from information processing ability, professional counseling ability, communication ability, and ethical consciousness. Finally, it was confirmed that the future adaptability of career counselors increases after participating in future workshops, and the future competencies derived from this study are expected to be used for job training of career counselors.
