The Elastic Critical Loads of Linearly Non-symmetrically Tapered Members (직선형으로 Taper진 비대칭 변단면 부재의 탄성임계하중)

  • The elastic critical load of a slender compression member plays an important role when the proper design of that member is required. For tapered compression members, however, there are cases when the conventional neutral equilibrium or energy method can't be applied to the determination of critical loads. In this paper, the finite element method is applied to the approximate determination of the linearly tapered members. In this paper, the bars are assumed to be tapered linearly along their axes. The parameters considered in this study are taper parameter, α and the sectional property parameter, m. The member ends are either hinged or fixed. The computed results using the finite element method are represented in the forms of algebraic equations. The regression technique is employed to determine the coefficients of the algebraic equations. Critical loads estimated by the proposed algebraic equations coincide flirty well with those employing the finite element method.

  • 항공기, 자동차, 전차 등 차량의 시스템 또는 운동의 시뮬레이션에서는 다양한 종류의 불연속적인 파라미터 값들이 데이터 테이블의 형태로 주어지게 되는데, 본 연구에서의 관심은 적분 스텝의 크기가 고정되는 일반적인 실시간 시뮬레이션의 제약 하에서 기존의 검색 기법들을 비교하고, 최적의 검색 기법을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 전통적으로 수치해석, 시뮬레이션, 데이터베이스 등 다양한 학문 및 응용기술 분야에서 개발된 데이터 검색 기법들을 조사하여 비교하였다. 또한, 다양한 크기와 형태의 데이터 테이블들을 사용하여 수치비교시험을 수행하였는데, 그 경향은 이론에 근거한 예상과 대체로 일치하였다. 한편, 검색하고자 하는 파라미터 값이 임의의 dynamics를 갖고 변한다면, 이러한 정보를 이용하여 주어진 데이터 테이블 내의 검색 영역을 축소 시켜 검색속도를 향상시킬 수가 있다. 다양한 수치시험에서 이분 검색법(bisection method)은 축소된 테이블의 크기에만 영향을 받지만 보간 검색법(interpolation method)과 그 변형 기법들은 검색 대상 테이블들의 축소로 데이터의 형태가 직선형이 되는 효과를 얻기 때문에 검색속도를 단축시키는데 매우 탁월한 효과를 나타내었다. 결론적으로 dynamic-window 개념을 도입한 보간 검색법과 그 변형들이 이론적으로도 실험적으로도 최적의 검색속도를 보장함이 입증되었다.

  • In this study, the relation between the mtation which are usually caused by the creep of the contact wire, the bar geometry and the forces(wire tensions) for the triangle-shaped distribution bar and straight-shaped one in dependent tensioning device system is reviewed. According to the result a rotation of distribution bar in triangle-shaped one modifies the distribution of the tensions between the three wires hooked in a distribution bar. On the contrary, a rotation on the straight-shaped one leads to no tension distribution change. Therefore, to use the straight-shaped distribution bar instead of triangle-shaped one is recommended. In addition, the design contents of the distribution bar which will be used in electrification of Gyeongbu line are described in this paper.

The Impedance Characteristics of Verical Antennas Over a Finite Image Plane (영상면상의 직선형 안테나의 임피이던스 특성)

  • The impedance characteristics of vertical antennas over a finite image plane were analyzed and measured. Two kinds of image plane, one rectangular and the other circular, were used for the mesurements. And the length of antennas was varied at fixed frequency. All kinds of terminal zone effects which possible raise questions because of antenna mounting system were discussed. It is observed from the results that the measured impedance of antennas over a comparativley large rectangular plane is approximatly identical with the theoretical value, and also the impedance of antennas over a comparatively small circular plane had similar characteristics to a comparatively thick antennas over an inifinite image plane.

  • The development of linear Eddy-Current brake systems has gradually gone beyond the adhesion limit in high-speed vehicles.   • Linear induction motor with multilayer region of the single-sided is analyzed considering multi region traveling wave problem. A hybrid method of analysis consisting of field analysis in conjunction with the multilayer transfer matrix concept with adjustment of secondary iron permeability to match the tangential magnetizing field in each layer is developed.

  • This paper presents the system design of permanent magnet linear synchronous machine with double-side PM mover and slotless iron-cored stator in the required speed and thrust. in this paper, the design of manufacturing motor is optimized by characteristics of motor parameters with the variation of PM size and coil turns. And, the permissible operating range of manufactured motor by determination of base speed and base thrust according to switching scheme of DC link voltage are offered. Finally, the results of analytical solutions are verificated by finite element analysis and experiment.

  • In servo system demanding precision dynamic characteristics, application of the Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Machines (PMLSM) has advantage of analysis convenience by simple geometry and thrust ripple reduction from the sinusoidal back electromotive force and excited stator. Therefore, this paper presents design of surface-mounted PMLSM with slotless iron cored stator according to coil turns to satisfy the rate thrust. Also, from dynamic analysis for servo application of manufactured motor with heavy mass, we offer accurate range of the DC link voltage and acceleration in rate speed. This is applied to speed reference profile considering system characteristics in total length of moving position.
