The Influence of Occupational Stress in Dry Mouth and Self-Diagnosed Oral Symptoms on Workers (근로자의 직무스트레스가 구강건조감 및 구강증상에 미치는 영향)

  • Job stress is emerging as one of major issues related to oral health in modern society that has increasingly been complicated and diversified. The purpose of this study was to examine the job stress and dry mouth of workers and their self-diagnosed oral symptoms in an attempt to determine the relationship between job stress and dry mouth. The subjects in this study were 366 workers, and a survey was conducted to June 1 to 20, 2012. Whether there would be any differences in dry mouth and self-diagnosed oral symptoms according to job stress was analyzed, and it's found that there were significant differences in dry mouth according to organizational climate. And oral symptoms made significant differences to job demand, interpersonal conflicts, organizational system, lack of reward and job stress. There was a positive correlation between dry mouth and organizational climate, and oral symptoms had a significant correlation to job demand, interpersonal conflicts, job insecurity, organizational system, job stress and dry mouth. Organizational climate and lack of reward had a significant impact on dry mouth, and oral symptoms were under the significant influence of dry mouth, job insecurity and organizational system.

  • 본 연구에서는 설정된 조직목표를 효율적으로 달성하기 위한 여러 행정과정변수와 조직의 보편적 특성인 관료성변수를 선정하여 이 변수들이 조직의효과성에 미치는 영향을 확인코자 했으며 이를 통하여 학교 조직의 효과성에 대한 포괄적인 정보를 제공함이 그 목적이라 할 수 있다. 그래서 독립변수로 행정과정(과업구조 인화관계성, 의사소통, 의사결정)과 관료성을, 종속변수로 조직의 효과성(직무만족, 조직적응, 조직생산성)을 선정하였으며, LISREL(Linear Structural Relations)모형을 이용하여 조직의 행정과정 및 관료성이 조직의 효과성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다.

The Organization Commitment and Perception of Human Resource Management by Employment Types of School Foodservice Employees (학교급식 직원의 고용유형에 따른 인적 자원 관리 활동에 대한 인식과 조직 몰입도)

  • As the foodservice industry is labor intensive, the efficient management of human resources is an essential element for improving operational efficiency. This study was designed to investigate the performance level of human resource management in self-operated school foodservices and to examine the relationship between human resource management, organizational commitment, and productivity. Whether these factors rated differently by employment and job types was also examined. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 dieticians and 240 cooks in Seongnam and Yongin. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, the t-test and multiple regression analysis were tested using Minitab. Human resource management practices rated highly in the dimension of employee training (3.51), followed by working environment (3.39), and turnover management (3.37). In contrast, reward management (1.73) and working condition (1.56) received the lowest score. Organizational commitment scored 3.65 points, and showed that dedication (3.82) was the highest score; however, self-esteem (3.50) was the lowest score. For human resource management, there were significant differences between employment types as full time workers (3.85) rated management more highly than part-time worker (3.43). Overall productivity was fairly high, especially in high school foodservices. Only the performance appraisal had an influence on organizational commitment (${\beta}$=0.292, P<0.05). Productivity was positively correlated with human resource management (r=0.432, P<0.001) and organizational commitment (r=0.36, P<0.01). In conclusion, school foodservices need to establish objective performance standards, and increase employee morale by enhancing reward systems and working conditions. In particular, irregular employees require training with job performance standards and given a proper reward program, depending on their performance, to improve organizational commitment.

Effects of professional self-concept, self efficacy on the job satisfaction in general hospital nurses (종합병원 간호사의 전문직 자아개념과 자기효능감이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the correlation among professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction and to identify the effect of professional self-concept and self-efficacy on job satisfaction in general hospital nurses. Questionnaires were completed by 156 nurses who were working for one general hospital in Busan. The mean score of professional self-concept and self-efficacy were $3.02{\pm}0.23$ and $2.92{\pm}0.21$ respectively. The mean score of job satisfaction was $2.76{\pm}0.26$. With respect to job satisfaction, the correlations were .325 (p<.001) for professional self-concept and .212 (p=.008) for self-efficacy. As integrate of the study result showed job satisfaction had correlation to professional self- concept and self-efficacy. The regression model explained 12.6% of job satisfaction. Professional self-concept was factor influencing job satisfaction. So professional self-concept enhancement strategies and self-efficacy improvement programs should be developed to improve job satisfaction.

Whereas turnover of agents is the result of empirical factors that are affected by other agents than to individual character generated by the character of the individual agents. Compliance boss, job suitability, individuals representing a fellow fitness, tissue compatibility environmental compliance is having a significant impact on both the degree of organizational commitment, job satisfaction and turnover intention. In other words, the boss or colleague, values and personality, working method, as fits well the concerns and pursuing goals are similar, and their job aptitude higher the suitability of the organization is about to have a sense of belonging and attachment to the company commitment can do. This is the result of a demonstration that the work environment of the actuary agents productivity gains and loyalty depends on the insurance company, which currently belongs.

  • In an effort to identify predictors of job performance, research studies in social work administration has been so far on the individual practitioners' levels of knowledge and skills, which could be used in a workplace. As the theoretical concept of organizational environment was fully introduced into social work administration research, however, studies on practitioners' job performance began to have interest in the team or the organizational level variables as well as individual level variables. Along the course of this tendency, this study attempted to test the effect of individual, team, and organizational level variables on the job performance of human service workers. The individual level variables consisted of knowledge, skills, job satisfaction, personality, and counter-productive work behaviors of workers. The team or the organizational level variables included situational constraint, organizational justice, job characteristics, government-dependency, and inter-organizational cooperation. Multi-level complex survey data collected by cluster sampling method from 314 practitioners in 23 organizations were analyzed using Hierarchial Linear Model. Results showed that both task and contextual performance were affected by individual, team, and organizational level variables in various ways.

The Influence of Empowerment on Job Satisfaction, Task Performance and Turnover Intention by Hospital Nurses (간호사의 임파워먼트가 직무만족, 업무생산성 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of empowerment on job satisfaction, task performance and turnover intention and to identify the relationship among them in hospital nurses. Methods: The subjects were 256 nurses working for one university and three general hospital in J city. The data were analyzed by SPSS 11.5. Results: The mean score of empowerment was 2.86, job satisfaction was 3.00, task performance was 3.29 and turnover intention was 3.01. The empowerment was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=.63, p<.001) and task performance(r=.32, p<.001), but negatively correlated with turnover intention(r=-.17, p<.05). The significant predictive factors of job satisfaction and task performance were information and support in empowerment. And turnover intention was resources in empowerment. Conclusion: These result suggest that empowerment improvement programs should be development to improve the quality of nursing.

  • It is becoming more essential than ever for office professionals to become competent in information processing through fast response to the stimuli and needs coming from the current global business society which is controlled by the speed of improvement of information technology. Office professionals' success in business today depends on the level of job competency and the professional development that are required for problem solving in a global business environment. The main purpose of this research is to design a database for office professionals according to the recent result of DACUM job analysis for office administrators and implement a prototype with various kinds of services in five major categories such as human relationship management, event management, project management, special occasion management, and office knowledge management. The result of this study can be utilized to enhance the levels of both productivity and professionals.

A Study on the Difference Job Satisfaction Between Korean Brand and Foreign Brand in the Restaurants Business (국내.외 외식업체 종사원의 직무 만족도 차이에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare employee's job satisfaction in the Korean and Foreign brand restaurants, and to suggest some guideline for efficient human resource management. Korean and Foreign brand restaurants are highly showed high vision, pride oneself, and job satisfaction in the restaurant business but payroll is recognized low. Overall job satisfaction is recorded highly in the Korean brand restaurants, but turnover intent is for high foreign brand restaurants. Payroll is the strongest correlates of employee turnover. The guidelines are to continuous evaluation, monitoring about job satisfaction as well as incentive for the high achievement, to establish distinct employee program for reaching high goal & achievement, to provide opportunity self -development and motivation for raising worker's skill, and to utilize regularly video program which discuss complaints between employee and seniors.
