The Impact of Secondary Trauma Stress on Occupational Stress Levels of Sexual Violence Support Workers : The Moderating Effect of Work-Related Job Education (성폭력피해자 지원센터 종사자의 이차적 외상 스트레스가 직무 스트레스에 미치는 영향 : 직무교육의 조절효과)

  • This study investigated the impact of the secondary trauma stress experienced by workers who support sexual violence victims on occupational stress level, and verified the moderating effect of the job education from support facilities in this relationship. The data analyzed in this study were sampled from "The Primary Study on The Development of Training Program to Cultivate Professional Workers of Support Organizations for Sexual Violence Survivors" as a secondary data and 482 nationwide workers were selected. By applying SPSS PROCESS macro, the moderation model was analyzed. The analysis results are as follows. First, sexual violence victim support workers' secondary trauma stress has a significantly influence on occupational stress level of workers. Second, the job education from support agencies themselves moderates the relationship between the secondary trauma stress and occupational stress level of support agents. It also showed that the higher level of job education participates, the less the experience of being stressed on the job. Thus, on the basis of the result, the theoretical discussion on the secondary trauma stress and occupational stress level of sexual violence victim support worker was drawn out and the empirical implication on the direction of the education for job related was suggested.

The Effect of Participation Motivation on Job Satisfaction of Sport for All of Tennis Participants (생활체육 테니스동호인의 참여동기가 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation motivation on Job Satisfaction of tennis participants. The subjects of this survey data consisted of 340 tennis participants. The result of this study were as follows. First, The motivation of Tennis participants of skill development, social intercourse, enjoyment, external display, health and fitness positively correlation to intrinsic satisfaction. There were negative correlation in amotivation. The motivation of Tennis participants of skill development, social intercourse, enjoyment negatively correlation to extrinsic satisfaction. There were positive correlation in amotivation. On the other hand, in external display, health and fitness there were no correlation. Second, The motivation of Tennis participants of skill development, amotivation, enjoyment, health and fitness influenced to intrinsic satisfaction. Third, the motivation of tennis participants of enjoyment, external display influenced to extrinsic satisfaction.

A Study of Job Satisfaction According to Director's Leadership Style and Type of Decision-making Recognized by Child Care Teachers (보육교사가 인식한 원장의 지도성 유형 및 의사결정 유형에 따른 직무만족도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of directors' leadership style and the type of decision-making on improving child care teachers' job satisfaction which is essential to operate high-quality nursing. The survey method was used for 184 child care teachers who work for child care centers. The collected data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and posteriori test to find out the differences in teachers' job satisfaction according to their recognition of directors' leadership and decision-making. The result showed that differences exist in child care teachers' job satisfaction according to the leadership and decision-making of directors as recognized by the teachers. The score of child care teachers' self-development, work, welfare & social stability related to job satisfaction hit the highest when directors' leadership type was efficiency-centered. Similarly, participatory decision-making type, which is the most ideal type, scored the highest in all sub-components of job satisfaction in the case of directors' type of decision-making. This implies that the directors who prefer positive leadership and democratic participatory decision-making type increase teachers' job satisfaction which will positively affect the child care centers' qualitative development.

The Effect of Empowering Leadership on Work Engagement and Job Performance through Employees' Self-Efficacy and Belonging (임파워링 리더십이 구성원의 자기효능감과 소속감, 그리고 직무열의와 직무성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The importance of empowering leadership has emerged, which inspires confidence and attachment to members' task capabilities through delegation of authority between leaders and members. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of empowering leadership on work engagement and job performance through self-efficacy and sense of belonging in construction companies. Hypothesis testing of 271 copies of the questionnaire from Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam areas was conducted using the structural equation model. First, in the order of information sharing and participatory decision-making, there was a significant positive effect on self-efficacy, whereas the lead and coaching factors were not significant. Second, it was shown that all 4 factors of empowering leadership had a significant positive effect on belonging. Third, the sense of self-efficacy and belonging had a significant positive effect on both work engagement and job performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand attributes, stress and burnout related to job environment of healthcare facilities workers for the aged, care-givers, analyze the effect of these factors on job satisfaction, and improve their organizational task to help advance the quality of life and the healthcare facilities for the aged. A survey was made on 129 care-givers working in the healthcare facilities for the aged(care facilities, in-home facilities for the aged) located in Jeonbuk Gunsan area. This study showed that sub-factors of care-givers' job environment such as human environment, compensation system and job expertise have a significant effect on the job burnout, stress and satisfaction. This means that a well-organized compensation system, which is proportionate to the job expertise and ability for human environment, and achievement of innovative thinking, will make a positive relationship, reduce the job burnout and stress, and improve the job satisfaction at the same time. Compared to the rapid increase of old aged patients for long-term care and care-givers' real role and job in the facilities, the job specialization has to be guaranteed to improve job environment of care-givers as various beneficial workers for welfare - professional workers - and the compensation system needs to be properly systematized according to their job capacity. Consequently, the production and participation of professionals with high self-esteem may raise organizational commitment through the maximization of job satisfaction by the participation and devotion to the organization of more professionals by removing factors, which can reduce the frequent job burn-out and stress of care-givers.

The Effects of a Group Art Therapy Program based on Mindfulness Meditation on the Job Stress and Interpersonal Relationships of Office Workers (마음챙김 명상을 기반으로 한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 직장인의 직무스트레스와 대인관계에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to test the effects of a group art therapy program based on mindfulness meditation for job stress and interpersonal relationships of office workers. For this purpose, a Total 24 office workers wishing to participate in the study voluntarily were selected. They were then randomly assigned to the experiment or control group which consisted of 12 people each. The experiment group participated in the program for a total of 12 sessions(a 90-minute session twice per week) over six weeks. The main findings were as follows: first, the office workers of the experiment group made a decrease in overall job stress and its subfactor including stress symptoms and outcomes after the group art therapy program; and secondly, they made a decrease in overall interpersonal relationships and their subfactor including dominance, retaliation, indifference, social avoidance, non-assertiveness, non-exploitation, devotion, and interference after the program. These findings demonstrate that the group art therapy program based on mindfulness meditation was effective for reducing the stress of office workers and enhancing their interpersonal relationships.

  • This study was carried out to analyze the job of care managers in their social welfare practicing fields about the frequency of care management duties they perform, types of duties considered to be most important and the reason, and types of jobs counted to be the most difficult and the reason by qualitative case study research methods. The job area of care management was elicited using DACUM method, and those 9 job areas derived from it were analysed according to frequency of performance, importance and difficulty. The subjects were 10 social workers serving more than 3 years with major duty of care management and chosen by reputational-case selection, and those collected data analysis was operated according to embedded analysis types. We discussed the implication of this research. : The experience of participants are the process of maintaining the tension, and search the equilibrium point between client centered service and institutional pressure.   • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of educational satisfaction on project effectiveness, and the mediating effect of participation satisfaction between educational satisfaction and project effectiveness of employment promotion project for the elderly. The data were Research of the aged joining employment promotion project for the elderly made by Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged in 2010 and the total subject was 1220. Descriptive analysis, correlations analysis, and the multiple regression analysis for research model test were used. Additionally, Sobel test was used to verify the significant mediating effect. Results were obtained in this study as the educational satisfaction have significant effects on participation satisfaction. And the mediating effect of educational satisfaction on project effectiveness is statistically significant. Based on the findings, in order to increase project effectiveness, we need to realize the importance of education for the aged joining employment promotion project for the elderly, and consider the participation satisfaction.

경찰관 퇴직이후 경제활동 지속의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

  • 100세 인생 시대의 도래는 사회적으로 많은 변화를 요구하고 있다. 기성세대들이 기존의 조직구조 속에서 일할 수 있는 최고 연령이 60대 초반인 것을 감안한다면 100세 인생 시대에는 퇴직한 후에 3~40년간 살아나갈 대안이 있어야 한다는 것이다. 이러한 환경 속에서 일반 직장인들에 비해 직장에서 많은 시간과 노력을 하고 있는 경찰관들이 퇴직 후에 경제활동을 지속하게 하는데 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구를 하는 것이 중요하다고 생각한다. 따라서 본 연구는 정년을 마친 후 연금을 받게 되는 경찰관들이 다른 직종의 직장인들과 비교하여 경제활동에 대한 필요성을 느낄 것인가? 그렇다면 그 이유는 무엇인가? 퇴직 후에도 경제활동을 하려는 경찰관들에게 어떠한 요인들이 영향을 주는 것일까? 등에 대한 것을 기존 연구와 문헌들을 통하여 연구 모형과 가설을 정하고 설문 조사를 통해 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구는 재직 경찰관들이 퇴직 후에 경제활동을 지속하기 위한 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구를 위해 개인역량, 경제활동 동기, 돈과 경제에 대한 인식, 경제적 만족도와 직장 안정성, 직장 공정성과 상하관계, 교육 및 교육 참여, 은퇴 준비, 직무만족과 직무의 미래비전을 독립 변수로 하고 경제활동 지속의도를 종속 변수로 설정하여 진행하였다.

Factors that Influence Social Relations in Elderly People Participating in the Senior Employment Project: Focusing on the Job Satisfaction and Self-esteem (노인일자리 사업 참여노인의 사회적 관계에 영향을 미치는 요인: 자아존중감과 직무만족을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine factors influencing social relations in elderly people participating in the Senior Employment Project and explore ways to improve their life quality by promoting the enhancing social relations in old age based on that. To attain the study goal, this researcher conducted hierarchical multiple regression analysis on 272 elderly persons having experience to participate a senior employment project selected through random sampling. According to the findings, elderly people's internal factors, self-esteem and external factor, job satisfaction, influence social relations in elderly people participating in the Senior Employment Project significantly. In other words, if elderly people participating in the Senior Employment Project have higher self-esteem, and job satisfaction, their social relations are better. Based on the results, this author provides political suggestions as follows: first, it is needed to develop policies and programs that can enhance elderly people's self-esteem. Second, it is necessary to acknowledge their worker's status, diversify business types and areas for them, and improve their labor conditions so that elderly people can show higher job satisfaction. Third, it is needed to develop both official and non-official support systems and build networks to form new social relations.
