Factors affecting the Patient Safety Attitude and Safety Control on Safety Care Activities among Nurses in Small and Medium-sized Hospitals (중소병원 간호사의 환자안전태도, 안전통제감이 안전간호활동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the factors affecting the safety care activities of 227 nurses in 7 small and medium-sized hospitals in G-city. Data were collected from May 16th to 23rd, 2016, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression with SPSS 18. The levels of patient safety attitudes, safety control and safety care activities were 4.11, 3.74 and 4.33 out of 5, respectively. In the analysis of the patient safety attitudes, there were significant differences in education level and job satisfaction. In the analysis of safety control, there were significant differences in age, education level, working experience, position, experience of safety education, experience of safety accidents, and job satisfaction. In the analysis of the safety care activities, significant differences were found in the education level, work department, experience of safety education, and job satisfaction. The patient safety attitudes, safety control, and safety care activities were positively correlated (with each other). The major factor affecting the safety care activities was the patient safety attitude, followed by safety control and experience of safety education. These findings emphasize the need for nurses to change their perception of patient safety attitudes and safety control, in order to reinforce their safety care activities. They also suggest that various safety nursing cases and systematic support should be provided for continuous patient safety education.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the U.S. Coast Guard's origins and powers with respect to the warrantless searches of vessels at sea. In principle, searches and seizures of vessels at sea require a warrant. However, a ship at sea may easily slip away and destroy evidence while authorities attempt to get a warrant. Thus, warrantless searches and safety inspection need to be validated because of the exigent circumstances at the sea. There are also two kinds of exceptions that justify warrantless searches at sea namely, border searhes and administrative searches. These theories in the U.S. will be useful for legislation and law enforcement related to the Korea Coast Guard's mission.

Effect of Emotional Labor, Stress, and Fatigue of Beauty Industry Workers on the Subjective Symptoms of Musculoskeletal Diseases (미용업 종사자의 감정노동, 스트레스, 피로도가 근골격계질환 관련 자각증상에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구에서의 미용업 종사자의 감정노동, 직무 및 사회심리적 스트레스, 피로도가 근골격계질환에 미치는 직 간접적인 영향을 평가하기 위하여 시도되었다. 그 결과 미용업 종사자의 근골격계질환 자각증사자는 신체부위 중 어깨의 근골격계질환 관련 자각증상자가 가장 많았으며, 목, 허리, 손목, 팔, 발, 무릎 순으로 나타났다. 미용업 종사자의 감정노동 각 문항별 평가 결과는 '나는 기분이 나쁠 때 고객들에게 표현하지 않도록 최선을 다한다'의 문항이 3.92점으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 이와 반대로 '표현되는 행동과 실제 감정의 차이 때문에 혼란스러울 때가 있다' 2.61점으로 나타났다. 미용업 종사자의 작업 관련 심리적인 요인이 근골격계질환에 미치는 영향에 대하여 근골격계질환자가 무증상자에 비하여 감정노동과 피로도에 영향을 더 많이 받는다는 것으로 나타났으며, 직무 스트레스가 증가할수록 사회심리적 스트레스는 낮아지지만 피로도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 감정노동이 피로도에 미치는 영향에서 직 간접적인 영향이 모두 높은 것으로 나타났으며 직무 스트레스가 피로도를 통해 근골격계질환에 미치는 간접적인 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 미용 종사자의 작업 관련 물리적 심리적 개선 방안 마련이 요구되면 산업안전보건 분야의 정책적 관리 방안 마련을 제안한다.

  • As a result of investment in railway safety focusing on passenger safety, the train accident rate has been reduced by half domestically and we have reached a high level of safety compared to other countries and other transportation modes. However, accidents related to staff are still at a high ratio compared to other countries. There have been few studies on staff safety and no relevant systematic safety measures have been implemented. More than 90% of staff fatalities occurred from rolling stock in motion and electrification, which are representative railway accidents. In this study, causes of accidents, and current safety measures for staff are analyzed focusing on trains in motion. The results can be utilized for developing new safety measures.

A Study on the Job Satisfaction and Turnover of the Forest Workers (산림노동자의 직무만족과 이직에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to revealed the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover of forest workers. Data had obtained through a questionnaire, in which 155 forest workers at three national forestry cooperative federation training centers are questioned. The data had been analyzed using the factor analysis and multiple regression method. The results of the factor analysis were found 'Relation with the boss', 'Wage & safety', 'relation with co-workers', 'Job specifications', and 'Working hours'. As the result of the regression, turnover was affected by only 'Job specification', however turnover was not affected by 'Relation of the boss', 'Wage & safety', 'relation of co-workers', and 'Working hours'.

  • Busan-port is world's fifth trading port and is playing an important role in medium of revenue expansion and civic growth of Busan metropolitan city. Therefore, Busan metropolitan city aims at establishment of maritime special city with sailing of popular election third times. But this sort of goal can be accomplished when job satisfaction of port's personnel concerned is elevated. So, the object of this study is to research on job satisfaction of Busan-port pier management corporation's employee. Through the examination of preceding studies, duty contents promotion remuneration control sense of responsibility colleague relation guarantee job office quantity working environment. tenure of office sex age education are used as factors of job satisfaction. The finding of this study are as follows; First, promotion and remuneration exert significant influence upon job satisfaction. Second, the job satisfaction of Busan-port Pier Management Corporation's Employee is pretty low.

Effects of Korean Marine Police's Emotive Dissonance on Job Burnout: Focused on Moderating Effects of Emotional Intelligence (해양경찰공무원의 감정적 부조화와 직무소진의 영향관계: 감정지능의 조절효과 분석)

  • The everyday life of police officers requires them to face a number of criminal acts and enter compromising crime scenes. In this case, officers may be compelled to make a personal expression of negative emotions. Negative emotions of members confidence for effective job processing and contributions duties and achievement of the job within the marine police force. Therefore, to control the emotive dissonance of organization members is a great help to the development of the organization. This study focuses on emotional dissonance among marine police officers to verify the impact of this dissonance on job burnout and consider the mediating effect of emotional intelligence. Research results are as follows: First, the relationship between emotional dissonance sub-factors and job burnout among marine police officers was studied. It was found that marine police did not feel emotionally jarred because they consciously tried to abstain from emotional engagement, but this was found to reduce emotional intelligence as related to desired emotions as well. Second, Emotional intelligence of the Marine Police was found on a significant impact on job burnout. Third, the impact of emotions in relation to emotional dissonance that job burnout of marine police intelligence officials confirmed that there is a statistically significant mediating effect. Finally, in a comparison of direct effects versus mediated effects, marine police were seen to be prone to emotional dissonance and experienced job burnout as a direct result of applying greater emotional intelligence.

  • 현행 철도관련기관에 종사하는 안전업무종사자(기관사, 관제사 등)의 업무적성평가제도는 나름의 논리적 토대 하에 설계되어 안전업무종사자의 업무적성검증과 역량의 개발 및 보존에 기여하는 바가 크다. 그러나 한편 조직 내외적인 여러 요인으로 인해 사회, 기술, 가치관(욕구) 등의 제반 환경적 변화추세를 적시에 제도적으로 반영하는데 일정한 한계가 있을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 같은 점을 고려하면서 특히 기관사를 대상으로 한 직무분석결과를 토대로 현행 업무적성평가제도와의 적합관계를 분석하여 바람직한 제도적 틀을 설계하기 위한 기초정보를 제시하려는데 그 목적이 있다.
