Android based Local SNS (안드로이드기반 근거리 SNS)

  • Recently, users using social network service(SNS) with smart phone as well as users using smart phone are so rapidly increasing. In this paper, Android based local SNS system is proposed and developed. The main feature and contribution are as follows. First, the proposed SNS system is developed based on smart phone Android for supporting both the search of neighbor users and the addition of friends to start SNS with Web/DB. Second, the system is designed with the unchanged basic UI of Android and user oriented approach. The performance evaluation is performed by using OPTIMUS-Q/ANDROID 2.1. The results of performance evaluation show that the proposed SNS system can efficiently support the neighbor search services by using android based bluetooth neighbor search. Currently, we are still ongoing working on bluetooth autofaring in android to improve the performance of the proposed system.

The Effect of Scratch Programming Education on Learning-Flow and Programming Ability for Elementary Students (스크래치 프로그래밍 교육이 초등학생의 학습 몰입과 프로그래밍 능력에 미치는 효과)

  • The programming education in K-12 field is processing with conceptual approaches to obtain basic grammar not including higher knowledge processing. This is main reason that can't able to obtain the educational effects. This study aims to research the innovated methodology of programming education which can have educational effect by participating of learners with positive interest, and recognize the effect of the Scratch programming education on elementary school student's learning-flow and programming ability. As a result Scratch programming education has effect on elementary school student's improving the level of learning-flow and the programming ability.

Reaction Pattern Influenced by Relative Values in the Evaluation of Preference for Image (이미지에 대한 선호도 평가에 있어 상대가치 작용 반응 패턴)

  • This study examined the characteristics of brain's reaction pattern concerning the preference for product images and compared them with the result of subjects' intuitive evaluation of their preference for the same materials. Two tests were conducted; the first one that calculated comfort properties based on brainwave measurements in order to examine the impression given by the images of products presented separately, one-by-one, and the second one that had subjects evaluate the preference directly by comparing the images of all products simultaneously. The first test was titled 'Independent Cognitive Response' and the second test, 'Relative Cognitive Response', and their characteristics were as follows. In the 'Independent Cognitive Response', the state of emotion was expressed in absolute values based on the comparison with the information accumulated through the subject's own experience and the feeling expressed as 'pleasant' or 'unpleasant' persisted as absolute values. In the 'Relative Cognitive Response', the state of emotion relative to the information of other images compared in the stage of perceiving the images was expressed, and in this case, the state of emotion described as 'calm' or 'excited' acted as relative values.

Sorensen's Sorites and the Vagueness of 'Vague' (소렌센의 더미와 '모호함'의 모호함)

  • In this paper, I attempted to show that 'Sorensen's Sorites' is not a successful argument for the vagueness of 'vague'. There are a lot of debates about it, but the central issue is whether Sorensen's Sorites is just small sorites; whether the vagueness certified by Sorensen's Sorites is just the vagueness of 'small'. Deas and Hull thought it was and rejected Sorensen's proof based on his sorites. But their rejection was rebutted by Varzi. The basis of his argument is that the subject of Sorensen's sentences - 'n-small' is vague - is not used but mentioned. I tried to reply on behalf of Deas and Hull and to show that the predicate 'vague' has not any effect on determining the truth value of "'n-small' is vague." Then it can be removed from the sentence. Of course I approve 'vague' is a homological term. What I do not agree with is only Sorensen's argument.

  • 2000s Korean cinema was influenced by capital, so it chose the way of Allegory instead of talking directly about sensitive issues. A representative movie director is Park Chan Wook who directed The Vengeance Trilogy. , The final part of Park Chan Wook's The Vengeance Trilogy, reflected Baroque Aesthetics. I analyzed focusing on Walter Benjamin's Allegory notion in this paper. Walter Benjamin said Allegory is different from a symbol which is represented by totality. Allegory means to reconstruct the fragment instinctively and to expose something repressed. The German Tragic Drama during the baroque period reflects this well. It is my argument that Park Chan Wook incorporated these underlying themes from German Tragic Drama into . He deconstructed the liberation and the birth myth of a nation, and he restored the socialist and anarchist who were completely excluded from history.

Cross Correlation based Signal Classification for Monitoring System of Abnormal Respiratory Status (상관관계 기반 신호 분류를 이용한 비정상 호흡 상태 모니터링 시스템)

  • This paper focuses on detecting abnormal patterns of respiration of humans. In this study, a contact-based device was used to acquire both normal and abnormal respiration signals. To this end, this paper reports the development of a monitoring system to investigate the respiratory status of humans in a normal environment. This work aims to classify the respiratory status, i.e., normal and abnormal status, quantitatively. The respiration signal is acquired using a contact-based medical device (BIOBPAC), and noise reduction is carried out before classifying the respiratory status. To reduce noise, a mixed filter that combines the Savitzky-Golay filter and Median filter is applied to the acquired respiration signals. The inter-class distance is maximized, and the intra-class distance is minimized. The proposed algorithm is straightforward and can be applied to a practical environment. In addition, the experimental results are provided to substantiate the proposed approach.

Smart Social Grid System using Interactive Sketch Map (인터랙티브 스케치맵을 활용한 스마트 소셜 그리드 시스템)

  • Recently, one of the received attraction fields in web based service is 'Human Relationship Service' that is called SNS. This relationship map service is able to deliver information to user more easily and visually because it is intuitive data that is linked with offline real world. While past map service put physical real information in the map, present map service is evolving into new communicative platform that expresses social relationship beyond simple search platform that shows real world. In this paper, we propose smart social grid system using sketch map that is based on online map service structure. This system has features such as standardized interface provision for various SNS, use to governance hub tool in case of establishing a personal network through expanded social grid, a role of bridge to mashup software linked with other SNS, user environment construction that reproduces social grid data, and the faster service setup by improved search technology.

System Visibility of Universal Middleware Pervasive Memorial Engine (시스템 가시성평가를 위한 유니버설미들웨어기반 Pervasive Memorial Engine 연구)

  • Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.

Area Search of Multiple UAV's based on Evolutionary Robotics (진화로봇공학 기반의 복수 무인기를 이용한 영역 탐색)

  • The simultaneous operation of multiple UAV's makes it possible to enhance the mission accomplishment efficiency. In order to achieve this, easily scalable control algorithms are required, and swarm intelligence having such characteristics as flexibility, robustness, decentralized control, and self-organization based on behavioral model comes into the spotlight as a practical substitute. Recently, evolutionary robotics is applied to the control of UAV's to overcome the weakness of difficulties in the logical design of behavioral rules. In this paper, a neural network controller evolved by evolutionary robotics is applied to the control of multiple UAV's which have the mission of searching limited area. Several numerical demonstrations show the proposed algorithm has superior results to those of behavior based neural network controller which is designed by intuition.

Decision of the Node Decomposition Type for the Minimization of OPKFDDs (OPKFDD 최소화를 위한 노드의 확장형 결정)

  • OPKFDD (Ordered Pseudo-Kronecker Functional Decision Diagram) is one of ordered-DDs (Decision Diagrams) in which each node can take one of three decomposition types : Shannon, positive Davio and negative Davio decompositions. Whereas OBDD (Ordered Binary Decision Diagram) uses only the Shannon decomposition in each node, OPKFDD uses the three decompositions and generates representations of functions with smaller number of nodes than other DDs. However, this leads to the extreme difficulty of getting an optimal solution for the minimization of OPKFDD. Since an appropriate decomposition type has to be chosen for each node, the size of the representation is decided by the selection of the decomposition type. We propose a heuristic method to generate OPKFDD efficiently from the OBDD of the given function and the algorithm of the decision of decomposition type for a given variable ordering. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the algorithm.
