Extraction kaolin minesin Hadong Area using ASTER image (ASTER 영상 자료를 이용한 하동지역 고령토 광산 분포 추출)

  • This study analyzed the spectral reflectance characteristics of kaolinite and ASTER(Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflectance Radiometer) image to extract the distribution of kaolin mines in Hadong area, Gyeongsangnam-do. The band ratio model was applied to extract kaolinite using difference of wavelength absorption band distinct feature of minerals from ASTER image which is the major mineral of kaolin mines. According to the spectral reflectance curve of kaolinite, it showed the absorption features around 0.96 and $2.18{\mu}m$ by Al-OH. Also, it affected 1.24 and $1.38{\sim}1.41{\mu}m$ by OH. Applying for new band ratio model from the spectral features of kaolinite to ASTER image, it is possible to make the distribution map of mining traces including present- developing kaolin mines.

  • 한반도는 판 내부지역으로서 지구조적 과정이 느리게 진행된다. 그 결과 지진발생빈도가 낮으며 불규칙한 지진발생특성을 보인다. 우리나라에는 약 1900년 간의 역사지진기록과 약 100년 간의 계기지진자료가 있어 지진발생특성 연구에 중요한 정보를 제공하고 있으나, 이들 지진자료를 이용할 때에는 자료의 신뢰성과 정밀도에 유의할 필요가 있다.

Construction of Hydrogeological Model for KURT Site Based on Geological Model (KURT 연구지역에서 지질모델을 이용한 수리지질모델의 구축)

  • The KURT (KAERI Underground Research Tunnel) is a research tunnel which is located in KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) site. At KURT, researches on engineering and natural barrier system, which are the most important components for geological disposal system for high level radioactive waste, have been conducted. In this study, we synthesized the site characteristics obtained by various types of site investigation to introduce the geological model for KURT site, and induced the 3-D hydrogeological model for KURT site from the geological model. From the geological investigation at the surface and boreholes, four geological elements such as subsurface weathered zone, upper fractured rock, lower fractured rock and fracture zones were determined for the geological model. In addition, the geometries of these geological elements were also analyzed for the geological model to be three-dimensional. The results from 3-D geological model were used to construct the hydro-geological model for KURT site, which is one of the input data for groundwater flow modeling and safety assessment.

Characteristics of the Land and River Aggregates Distribution in Goyang City, Korea (경기도 고양지역 육상 및 하천골재의 부존 특성)

  • Aggregate is an essential construction material, and the demand is increasing every year. Aggregate has different properties in each region, and it is difficult to supply it over long distances due to its quantity and weight. For the stabilization of aggregate supply and demand, regional aggregate resource surveys have been conducted since 1993 in Korea. In this study, an aggregate resource survey was conducted in Goyang City to understand the characteristics of aggregate distribution as part of the annual regional aggregate resource survey in 2020. Goyang City has a high mountainous area to the east, and the southwestern part shows a topography where a wide flatland develops. It has 18 small streams originated from the eastern mountainuos area and 1 large stream Han River. The drilling data shows that thickness of the Quaternary deposits tend to deepen toward the south. The aggregate reserves are relatively abundant, the depth of the aggregates are relatively deep. Changes in the depth of the Quaternary deposits and the amount of aggregate in Goyang are seems to be closely related to the activities of the Han River rather than the sedimentation characteristics from the upstream to the downstream of the small streams. This characteristics show a similar tendency to the distribution of aggregates in adjacent regions to the west coast in Korea. Therefore, the regions that close to west coast have a high probability of aggregate reserves around relatively large-scale streams flowing into the west coast.

  • 이암층, 함탄층, 석회암층과 같은 특수지질불량구간에서 터널과 암반사면의 합리적인 시공을 달성하기 위해서는 먼저 대상지질에 대한 지질특성, 암반특성을 정확히 이해하는 것이 필요하며, 지반특성에 적합한 지보대책을 수립하도록 하여야 한다. 본고에서는 전형적인 퇴적암지층으로 알려진 포항지역중 중생대 퇴적암류로부터 신생대 제 3기의 미고결 퇴적암류에 이르는 다양하고 복잡한 지질구조를 이루고 있는 지역에서의 터널 및 암반사면의 시공사례를 통하여 시공중의 제반문제점을 검토하여 이암층에서의 안전하고 합리적인 터널/암반사면의 시공방안에 대하여 고찰하였다.

부산시 금정산 주변지역의 수리지질학적 특성 연구

  • 금정터널 굴착 공사의 실시 설계를 위하여 굴착시 발생하게될 터널내로의 지하수 유출과 관련된 수리지질학적 특성을 연구하였다. 단열들에 대한 정보를 얻기 위하여 지표지질조사 및 지질구조조사를 실시하였다. 연구지역의 투수성을 파악하기 위하여 토양의 물리적, 공학적 특성을 규명하였고, 또한 정압주입시험을 실시하였다. 선구조선의 우세방향은 북북동-남남서 방향으로 동래단층 및 동래단층과 관련된 단층군들이 포함된다. 토양시료의 시험결과, 산정된 수리전도도는 2.l9E-05 m/sec ~ 2.11E-04 m/sec 로서 투수성이 빠름 ~ 매우 빠른 범위 값을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 주입시험에 의해 산정된 수리전도도는 2.28E-10 m/sec ~ 1.49E-06 m/sec 로서 최대값과 최소값은 4 차수(four order)의 차이를 보였다.

Methods of Discontinuity Network Visualization in 3-D (불연속면 연결구조의 삼차원 가시화 기법에 관한 연구)

  • A sound understanding of the structural characteristics of fractured rock masses is important in designing and maintaining earth structures because their strength, deformability, and hydraulic behavior depend mainly on the characteristics of discontinuity network structures. Despite considerable progress in understanding the structural characteristics of rock masses, the complexity of discontinuity patterns has prevented satisfactory analysis based on a 3-D rock mass visualization model. This paper presents the results of studies performed to develop rock mass visualization in 3-D to analysis the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of fractured rock masses. General and particular solutions of non-linear equations of disk-shaped fractures have been derived to calculated lines of intersection and equivalent pipes. Also, program modules have been developed to perform the calculations. The procedures developed for the 3-D fractured rock mass visualization model can be used to characterize rock mass geometry and network systems effectively. The results obtained in this study will be refined and then combined for use as a tool for assessing geomechanical problems related to strength, deformability and hydraulic behaviors of the fractured rock masses.

The Sensory Properties and Lipid Contents of Cooked Rices depending on the Variety and Cooker (품종 및 취반기구를 달리하여 취반한 쌀밥의 관능적 특성과 지질함량에 관한 연구)

  • The sensory properties and the change of lipid content of cooked rice were investigated to evaluate the effects of cooker (electric and pressure cooker) and variety ($Japonica and Indica\timesJaponica variety$). Overall preference of cooked rices were higher in the pressure cooker than the electric cooker. In the case of electric cooker, Japonica variety was prefered than $I\timesJ$ variety. Free lipid contents were reduced and bound lipid contents were increased after cooking. The bound lipid contents had a correlation with shiness of cooked rice(r=-0.69).

지하수 수질과 토지이용, 토양 특성 및 지질과의 정량적 통계분석

  • 논산지역의 간이상수도 수질을 모니터링한 결과 약 13-21% 정도가 간이상수도 수질기준을 초과하는 것으로 확인되었으며 그 원인은 주로 질산성질소, 탁도, 일반세균 등에 의함을 알 수 있었다. 연구지역의 지하수 수질에 영향을 미치는 인자를 정량적으로 해석하기 위하여 토지이용도, 토양도 및 지질도를 작성하여 판별분석을 수행하였다. 판별분석 결과 지하수 수질과 지질은 겉보기 오차율이 5.56%로 매우 밀접한 상관성을 나타내었으나 토지이용과는 52.63%로 상관성이 없는 것으로 나타났으며 이는 점오염원의 효과를 고려하지 못하였기 때문으로 사료된다. 토양특성과는 오차율이 13.16%로 비교적 잘 일치하는 결과를 보여주었으며 이는 토양발달이 지질과 밀접한 상관성을 가지기 때문으로 판단된다.
