This study starts form the inequity of the spatial accessibility in social services. This study has purpose to descript and analyze the spatial accessibility of social service agencies. While analysing the spatial accessibility, this paper uses comparative method of distance and space-time measures. The results of research are as follows; It needs (1) to enhance the spatial accessibility of the aged and the disabled. (2) to facilitate the spatial accessibility of marginal area or community like rural community. (3) to recognize utilities of distance and space-time measures in the spatial accessibility.

우리나라의 외식산업은 경제적 안정을 통한 소득수준 증대, 여성의 사회진출 및 맞벌이 세대의 증가, 건강식에 대한 소비자 욕구 증대 등 사회, 경제, 문화적 요인이 복합적으로 작용하여 다양한 컨셉의 외식업소들이 등장하기 시작하였고, 양적인 면에서 급속한 성장을 해 오고 있다. 그러나 외식업 경영주의 경영면에서의 전략적 사고와 정보의 부재, 서비스 마인드 결여, 높은 종업원 이직율과 전문인력 부족, 연구풍토의 결여 및 과다한 출혈 경쟁 등으로 인하여 외식산업은 질적인 면에서 많은 취약점을 드러내고 있다. (중략)

서울시 서초구청에서는 '반포 종합사회복지관'건립 현상설계경기를 실시하여 대도건축(윤태수)안을 당선작으로 선정, 지난 5월 8일 발표했다. 이번 설계경기는 고속터미널이 소재하여 유동인구가 많고 ATP가 밀집되어 있는 반포지역의 지역적 특수성을 감안하여 주민복지 욕구에 부응하는 건강하고 문화적인 지역주민 생활을 보장하는 지역사회 복지 서비스를 제공하기 위해 실시됐다. 총 6개 사무소에서 작품을 제출한 이번 설계경기의 우수작으로는 하규ㆍ다남건축(안병일)안이 선정됐다.

영국에서는 농촌문제의 심각성과 범정부적 대책 마련에 대한 부처간 인식 공유가 증가함에 따라 2000년 "농촌백서"에 '농촌서비스 표준화(Rural Services Standard, RSS)'를 제정하였다. RSS는 농촌 주민의 삶의 질 제고와 복지 서비스 향상을 위해 달성할 주요 서비스의 National Minimum을 의미한다. 매년 RSS 운용에 대한 지속적인 모니터링을 통하여 내용을 매년 업데이트 하고 있다. 교육 및 아동서비스, 광대역 통신, 사회적 돌봄, 우체국 서비스, 보건, 인터넷 접속, 긴급 서비스, 교통의 8개분야 13개 서비스 기준을 설정 제시하고 있다. 우리의 경우도 농촌 주민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 범정부적 투자가 이루어져 왔지만 농촌지역의 사회서비스 기준을 도시와 비교해 보면 아직도 부족한 부분이 많이 있다. 농촌 인구가 감소되고 있는 상황에서 지속적인 하드웨어 중심적 투자에 대한 의문제기와 함께 농촌 주민들이 최소한의 공적 서비스를 활용할 수 있는 기반이 되어야한다는 의견이 대립되고 있는 가운데 그 해결책을 찾기 위하여 '농촌 서비스 기준'을 설정하자는 논의가 추진되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인구 5만 이상 군지역에 속하는 경상북도 울진군 기성면 척산리를 중심으로 농촌 정주지원 서비스 요구사항을 분석하였다. 척산리에는 총가구 187호 363명이 거주하고 있으며 지난 3년간 인구 이동이 전혀 없었다. 주민들의 연령대는 50~60대가 가장 많으며 척산 3리가 가장 고령화 되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교통 환경은 좋은 편이었는데 기성공용버스 정류장에 10곳 이상의 차편이 있고 7번 국도가 있어 타 지역으로 이동도 용이하였다. 마을에 보건/의료를 담당하는 곳은 보건진료소뿐이었으며 잦은 외근과 구급약 부족 등으로 불편을 호소하고 있었다. 응급상황 발생시 수송 가능한 응급체계는 갖춰져 있지 않았고 노인들이 가장 많이 이용하는 물리 치료실은 일주일에 3번 개방하기에 불편하다고 하였다. 3층 건물의 복지회관이 있으나 장날(5일장; 1일, 5일)만 개방되어 이용에 한계가 있었고 마을주민을 위해 운영되는 프로그램은 없었다. 논농사 중심의 경제생활이었고, 부녀회와 청년회 등은 면단위 또는 행정리로 묶어서 운영하고 있었다. 주민들은 울진군 면소재지 중 척산리에만 약국이 없어 불편한 사항이 많기에 약국, 물리치료실의 상시 개방을 필요로 하였으며 장날을 이용한 노인대상 영화상영, 강연회 등 다양한 문화프로그램 운영을 희망하였다.

Since the 1960s, the United States' (U.S.) deinstitutionalization policy has reinstated people with mental illness into communities. Unfortunately, when untreated, some people with psychiatric disorders become homeless, and some commit serious crimes during a psychological crisis. Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), also known as Kendra's Law in New York and Laura's Law in California, provides treatment, services and support to people with mental illness in the community. AOT has repeatedly been found effective and is recognized as an evidence-based practice. The response to the mental health crisis (crisis intervention) in the U.S. has also been successful in preventing worsening mental illness and related criminality and other issues. This paper provides an opportunity to create a platform from which to learn how to successfully apply the AOT and crisis intervention of the U.S. to South Korea within the cultural and societal context when establishing social services for people with mental illness in South Korea's communities.

The aims of this study was to investigate the effect of the Tele-rehabilitation service on health promotion and quality of life for individuals with disability. The subjects were 3 men who agreed with participating in service and were assessed of health promotion level with physical/psychological scales and quality of life. The service consists of 20 sessions for 13 weeks. The results are as follows: First, all participants improved psychosocial health promotion (subjective health level) factor. Second, physical health promotion (upper limb function, strength, range of motion) maintained and improved, but there was little change. Third, the quality of life was higher than before. In addition, qualitative research showed that participants experienced a positive change in subjective health status, emotional stability, benefit, and self efficacy, and they were satisfied with the service. Based on the results, it was shown that participation helps improve the health and quality of life of the individuals with disability in the community. This study can be used it as a basic data for establishing a Tele-rehabilitation service for individuals with disability in local community.

As Korea becomes a multi-cultural society, Korean government ministries are enforcing various multi-cultural services. Especially, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which is in charge of public libraries, is operating multi-cultural services for cultural diversity. The trends in the research on the multi-cultural services in public libraries, however, are rather on adaptation of the multi-cultural people in Korea than on the cultural diversity. In this exploratory study, we investigated the perception of local residences on multi-cultural library services with several in-depth interviews with the local residences not only for the adaptation but also for the cultural diversity. The results shows that they tended to regard public libraries as an institution of local life-long education, and then they think public libraries can take a role for coping with social adaptation and prevention of social problems in terms of multi-cultural population. Based on the results, public libraries would better consider to inform their roles in this multi-cultural society to their local residences based not only on adaptation but also on cultural diversity. For this, the libraries would develop programs, in which both multi-cultural and non-multi-cultural people can be participated, to encourage communication between them.

The purpose of this study is to develop social performance measures of social enterprises and to verify the validity of developed measures. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, first, previous studies on the concept, components, and scale development of social performance were analyzed. After developing a scale suitable for measurement, the validity was verified. The preliminary questions on the social performance scale were 15 items, and after the exploratory factor analysis, 3 items were removed and classified into 2 factors. The sub-factors of the social performance measure were named community development, contribution and community spirit. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis based on 15 items, 3 items were removed. Finally, the social performance scale consisted of 12 questions, divided into two factors.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between frailty and health care utilization in a cross-sectional design of a population-based sample of community-dwelling older adults. We used the data of 516 participants who dwell in Daejon, aged between 65 and 84 years old. Using K-frailty index, frailty status were measured and categorized as three groups: robust, prefrail, and frail. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine if frailty affects emergency department(ED) visit or hospitalization. In addition, negative binomial regression was used to examine the association between outpatient visits and frailty. Our results showed that the frail elderly increased the ED visit and the number of outpatient visit significantly after controlling for demographic characteristics, socioeconomic status, the number of chronic diseases, and self-rated health status. Considering that frailty is an important independent factor affecting health care utilization, more attention is required to prevent the frailty in our health care system.

공공도서관은 지역주민의 지대한 관심과 적극적 이용을 전제로 변화 발전해 왔다는 사실에 주목해야 한다. 영종 지역은 도서관에 대한 접근성 부족, 책을 매개로 한 특색 있는 문화 프로그램 개발의 필요성, 운영 인력 부족, 장애인 노인 다문화 가정 등 영종 지역 내 정보취약계층에 대한 적극적인 서비스 수요 증가 등 몇 가지 현안에 대한 개선책이 필요하였다. 이에, 지역사회와 지역주민의 변화를 살펴보고 이를 해결하기 위해 Y도서관은 지역 내 다양한 유관 공공기관 및 유관기관들과의 긴밀한 협력체계를 구축하여 상호 교류 및 사업연계를 활성화 필요성을 사례로써 설명하였다.
