  • 인터넷 이용이 세계적으로 확산되면서 인터넷의 기반이라 할 수 있는 프로그래밍 언어도 날로 발전하고 있다. 그 중 기존 인터넷 표준 언어인 HTML이 XML이라는 차세대 언어로 대체되고 있다. 현재 XML은 전자상거래를 비롯해 DBMS, ERP, 전자도서관, 지식관리시스템, 정보검색시스템 등 거의 모든 분야에 걸쳐 활용되는 등 비즈니스 가치가 높아지고 있다. XML과 관련한 정보 기술업계의 대응에 대해 살펴봤다.

  • The exponential increase of digital contents brought about the e-Challenge crisis to the librarians. How can all the e-resources be managed effectively? How can we detect all the broken links? How can we assist the users to the right resources? This paper concentrates on building CLICK(Cooperative Link Center in KOREA) as a knowledge compass by collecting diverse science & technology information and creating tight coupled links between information resources for reference linking and providing users with the optimal route for the resource per user. If the publishers, Abstract & Index DB, Searching Portal, Electronic Libraries, Full-text DB and Aggregator can be linked by using a standardized way through a CLICK, the service channels can be diversified. Users can select the channels without rein under according to a use purpose and conditions.

  • In literature, it has been widely accepted that knowledge management (KM) success ratio in private companies depends on the corporate size and type of industries. However, there are few studies concerning the procedures about building knowledge management system in state-run corporations. Especially. as the Korean Government advocated the slogan saying. The Strong Nation with Knowledge and Information, the need to investigate the knowledge management case about state-run corporations instead of private companies becomes more urgent. In this respect, this paper is aimed at introducing how knowledge management system has been successfully incorporated in KAMCO, and summarizing several fact findings which are deemed noteworthy for other similar studies.

  • In knowledge-based society, it is understood that the knowledge is an essential resources for effective management of the organization. Lately, knowledge management has been accepted by many organization as a new theory of management. But the problem is that people, a component of the organization tend not to open their own knowledge to others, but to keep seeking knowledge of others. It can be found in many research papers that there have been very little efforts for sharing knowledge among members of organization. The purpose of the study is to investigate the reasons for not sharing knowledge or ideas with others, to identify some cultural factors effecting their closed-minded attitude towards the sharing knowledge, and to find the solutions from the organizational culture.

  • Currently, managers and researchers have come to recognize the importance of knowledge as an asset to the organization. Knowledge Management System (KMS) is developed as a tool to manage the organizational knowledge. A significant literature about Knowledge Management in the private, but not public sector. The purpose of the study is to analyze the influencing factors for KMS utilization in a public sector, Jeju Provincial Government Organization. This study performed an empirical research on factors that affect the use of KMS using Knowledge Management system capability and individual & organizational capability criteria. Survey was conducted with 150 employees from Jeju Provincial Government Organization. The Results show that an ability to create knowledge, and knowledge infrastructure are significant factors in determining the level of usage of Knowledge Management system. In particular, the most important factor that influences the usage of Knowledge Management is knowledge creation. and then knowledge infrastructure. The result also shows that the usage of KMS is affected by management's support willingness.

  • 본격적인 국제 사이버 과학기술 R&D 시대를 열어 줄 국제과학기술협업연구망 글로리아드(GLORIAD) 개통을 기념해, 우리 연구원은 지난 9월 5일부터 6일까지 이틀 간 서울롯데호텔(소공동 소재)에서 세계적인 과학기술계 석학들과 함께 '글로벌 첨단 과학기술협업연구망의 발전방안 모색'이라는 주제로 국제 심포지움을 개최했다. 그 첫날인 9월 5일 우리 연구원은 전자신문사와 공동으로 글로리아드 개통의 의의와 앞으로의 발전방향을 진단해 보는 좌담회를 열었다. 좌담회는 우리 연구원 이지수 슈퍼컴퓨팅센터장의 사회로, 미국 글로리아드 사업책임자인 오크릿지 국립연구소(UT-ORNL) 그렉 콜(Greg Cole) 박사, KAIST 전자전산학과 전길남 교수, 세계 핵융합에너지(ITER) 연구의 최고 권위자인 러시아 쿠르차토프연구소(RRC" Kurchatov Institute) 벨리코프(Evegany Velikhov) 소장, 중국 글로리아드 사업 책임자인 중국 전산망정보센터 얀 바오핑(Baopin Yan)센터장, 세계적인 네트워킹 기업 VSNL의 디렉터 빅토르 헤다드(Victor Haddard)가 참가했다.

  • 본 논문에서는 열 및 전기특성 플라스틱 복합수지와 한글에 특화된 인공지능 기술을 개발하기 위한 조성/물성 정보 복합수지 지식베이스를 구축하고자 국내 특허 문헌에서 화학 용어를 추출하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전문용어가 많이 쓰인 특허 문헌의 특수성을 고려하여 UIMA(Unstructured Information Management Architecture) 규칙 기반의 라이브러리를 사용해 한국어 화학 용어 코퍼스를 구축하고 이를 기반으로 딥러닝 알고리즘 중 하나인 Bidirectional LSTM-CRF를 기반으로 특허 문헌에서 화학 용어를 자동으로 추출하는 알고리즘을 연구하고자 한다.

  • To evaluate the performance of the question and answer services provided through the internet portals in Korea, question and answer transcript of four major services were sampled systematically. Using the digital reference evaluation framework, number and types of questions, response rate, timeliness, accuracy for information questions and user satisfaction were measured and analyzed. The level of the service performance is identified and compared. The conclusion includes suggestions for service improvement.

  • Recently, the knowledge industry center has played a role as a facility that creates economic added value because of the high-tech companies related to the knowledge industry, information, and communication. On the other hand, support facilities that are provided in the knowledge industry center are meant to support the company in the center and improve the working conditions of laborers. On the other hand, the support policy established by the government applies to some companies, and none of the support policy is carried out in supporting facilities in the knowledge industry center. In this study, multiple analysis was performed, focusing on the support facilities in the knowledge industry center that aims to improve the working environment of laborers. This study suggests the introduction of guidelines to secure adequate area, depending on the type of supporting facilities in the Knowledge Industrial Center. The sharing of facilities, such as cultural and commercial use for Knowledge Industrial Center, corresponding to poor provision, is recommended. Because the analysis of IPA indicates that the area of commercial support facilities are higher than others and cultural facilities are more important and preferred, it is necessary to compose support facilities that consider the user's individual characteristics. Facilities impacting the working environment need to be planned carefully through a district unit plan at the initial stages of development, thus assisting the production activity of workers.
