Recent educational policy by coalition government in UK is called knowledge turn. A core competency-based curriculum based on the relative knowledge of the social constructivism and postmodernism has been strongly endorsed by the previous new labor government. The view of knowledge regards knowledge as constructed socially, and emphasizes personal everyday knowledge. But the knowledge-based curriculum based on absolutism is strongly endorsed by the current coalition government. It emphasizes objectivity of knowledge. Social realism criticizes both absolutism and relativism on knowledge. Social realism places disciplinary knowledge above everyday knowledge, and considers disciplinary knowledge as powerful knowledge. But it doesn't mean that social realism neglects everyday knowledge. Rather, social realism empathizes relating disciplinary knowledge to everyday knowledge. Recent Living Geography and YPG(Young People's Geographies) project by the Geographical Association is based on the social realism. The aims of the project is to connect academic geography related to young people's geographies with student's everyday geographies, and academic geographers as mentors, tutors and students together are to make school geography curriculum through conversation.

The purpose of this study is to assess pre-service elementary teacher's conceptions of environmental issues. 141 pre-service elementary teachers from local college participated in this study. We discovered that most of participants understood the possibility of technological abuse that could lead to environmental destruction. They also well understood the crisis of the Earth's ecosystem. Nevertheless, it seemed most of participants were not ready to take action to save ti. In addition, they also showed stereo-typically biased opinions about science, technology and their relationship with environmental issues. It appeared to come from media-oriented environmental education. Since pre-service teacher's conceptions could directly effect future education, it is necessary to establish a more systematic educational system for environmental education, for both pre-service teachers and students.

본 논문은 다가올 사회에서 구현될 사이버 리얼리티(Cyber Reality)와 전송시스템인 Multimedia Networks 중에서 저궤도 위성망과의 연계된 전송 시스템 설계에 관한 연구이다. 먼저 관련연구로서 사이버 리얼리티의 의미와, 이것을 실행하기 위해 필요한 기초적 지식으로써 가상현실, 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 제작을 위한 기술과 전송을 위한 이미지 압축 표준 동향, 그리고 멀티미디어 네트웍에서 저궤도 위성망과 관련된 부분에 관한 연구를 한다. 다음으로 사용자에게 사이버 리얼리티를 실행하기 위해서는 검증되고 구축된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 실시간 쌍방향 전송하여야 하는데, 이를 구현하기 위해 저궤도 위성망을 이용할 때 연계하여 사용 할 수 있는 초고속 인터넷을 통한 방법, 유무선 ATM망과 연계된 방법, 그리고 PSTN망과 연계된 방법, 그리고 이들을 실제적으로 응용 할 수 있는 이동 단말기와 가정 및 사무실에서 구현 할 수 있는 방법들에 대한 연구 모델들을 제시하고, 그러한 시스템을 설계해 봄으로써 다가올 사회에서 구현될 사이버 리얼리티의 연구에 밑거름이 되고자 한다.

현재 국가과학기술지식정보서비스는 15개 부처 청과의 연계를 통해 과제, 인력, 장비 기자재, 성과 등 국가R&D사업정보를 한 곳에서 서비스한다. 그러나 실시간 정보 수집율이 저조함에 따라 당해연도 과제정보에 대한 서비스가 다소 제한적으로 제공된다. 본 연구에서는 현재의 국가R&D정보 수집체계에 대한 현황을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 실시간 수집율 제고를 위한 정보연계확대 및 개선방안을 제안한다. 또한 본 논문에서 제시한 실시간 연계체계 확대 방안에 따른 기대효과를 논의한다.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate the pedagogical content knowledge of a middle school mathematics teacher manifested in his mathematics instruction by identifying the components of the pedagogical content knowledge of the teacher. For the purpose of the study, I conducted an interpretive case study by collecting qualitative data. The results showed that the pedagogical content knowledge of the teacher was characterized by: (a) knowledge of mathematics including connection among topics and various ways of solving problems; (b) knowledge of students' understanding involving students' misconceptions, common errors, difficulties, and confusions; and (c) knowledge of pedagogy consisting of his efforts to motivate his students by providing realistic applications of mathematical topics and his use of materials.

This study investigated the perceptions of beginning teachers about teacher knowledge. Reflections and improvement of their class knowledge have been perceived as the most important factors by beginning teachers. In terms of utilization of actual classes, teacher knowledge, mathematical concepts and correlations such as connection linked to class contents and hierarchy have been used the most. Among the needed teachers knowledge, knowledge of student understanding and mathematics content knowledge was the most essential knowledge that could be mainly formed through classroom experience and teacher training program. On the other hand, knowledge about technology and assessment was not necessary or useful factor for beginning teachers. To facilitate formation of beginning teachers' knowledge, teacher introductory program, mentoring program, interactive relationship with teacher education institutes, curriculum improvement for teacher education institute and the development and dissemination of various teachers training program would be required.

This study aims to investigate a child's informal knowledge of carrying and borrowing in additive calculations. The additive word problems including three types of calculations are posed a child that is the first grader and has no lessons about carrying and borrowing. By analysing his answers, his informal knowledge, that is his methods and strategies for calculating the additive problems are revealed. As a result, conceptual aspects and procedural aspects of his informal knowledge are recognized, and the didactical implications are induced for connecting his informal knowledge and the formal knowledge about carrying and borrowing.

This paper proposes 3D visualization method of compound knowledge which will be able to identify and search easily compound knowledge objects based the multidimensional relationship. For this, we structurized a compound knowledge with link and node which become the semantic network. and we suggested 3D visualization method using SOM. Also, to arrange compound knowledge from 3D space and to provide the chance of realistic and intuitional information retrieval to the user, we proposed compound knowledge 3D clustering methods using object similarity. Compound knowledge 3D visualization and clustering using SOM will be the optimum method to appear context of compound knowledge and connectivity in space-time.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅이라는 주제를 놓고, 예술가의 상상력과 과학자의 지식을 융합한 연구를 통해 다수의 사용자가 인터렉트 할 수 있는 감성공간을 구현하였다. 이와 같은 연구의 새로운 패러다임은 문화 산업과의 연계를 통한 창구효과를 통하여 경제적, 문화적 이익을 창출 할 수 있다. 아울러, 한국적인 가족 문화와 감성에 맞는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 연구는 분야에 제한 받지 않고, 다각적인 방법론으로 접근한다면 학제간의 연계발전을 가지게 되는 것은 물론. 편리한 미래의 생활 환경을 창출하는 상승효과를 이룰 것이다. 이러한 연구의 개념을 시각화한 설치 미술을 통한 Group context에 맞는 감성공간을 구현 하였다.

전세계적으로 전기차에 대한 개발 및 보급과 연계하여 국제 표준화 작업이 활발하게 진행 중에 있다. 이에 우리나라도 전기차 표준화 작업을 위해 지식경제부 기술표준원을 중심으로 산학연관이 유기적으로 협력하여 국제 표준에 신속하게 유연하게 대처하는 한편, 국제표준을 선점하기 위한 노력에 힘쓰고 있다. 전기차의 연구개발 현황과 국제 표준화 동향, 전기자동차 표준화 로드맵을 통해 전기차의 국제표준에 대응할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보았다.
