According to developments in info-communication, the recent educational paradigm asks not for a passive transmitter but an active constructor who can solve a variety of complicated problems in real situations. Such a change asks for an educational setting which includes sharing ideas and information rather than simply possessing them. Learning through presentation has many problems including few presentation opportunities as well as the reuse of presentation data. This study suggests such strategies as promoting interactions through presentations and the practical use of these strategies in class. For this, the role of the presentation data provider and learner, and strategies to implement the step by step learning support system have been suggested. Using presentations, as described in this study, allow for communication with students outside the original class time and location. The degree of learning students experience through presentations is expected to be high.

This study aims to address the current status of ESD(Education for Sustainable Development) in Korean universities since UN DESD was launched in 2005, and to explore the possibilities and challenges in them. For this purpose we conducted questionnaire surveys and case studies on members of university communities which were engaged in green campus activities or interested in SD and ESD. Results of questionnaire surveys showed that most of those who answered the questionnaire were well aware of SD, but had comparatively low understanding of ESD. The highest number of respondents answered that since 2005 they had newly opened courses on SD or ESD, or added contents on SD or ESD to existing ones. Ratio of network participation among ESD-related universities was over 30%, and they appeared to have the highest partnership ratio with NGOs. Not many universities had policies for sustainable school management, and 'green space conservation and ecosystem protection' and 'energy and resource saving campaign and monitoring' were most common sustainable environment protection activities. Through case studies on eight universities, it was discovered that ESD programs in universities took various forms such as whole-university approaches, participatory courses and club activities. We suggest that it is needed to make efforts to find out good examples of ESD in Korean universities and share the results with university leaders, professors and staffs for further development of ESD.

지식기반 경제 사회의 진입과 더불어 조직에서 가장 중요한 요소는 인적자원이며 인적자원의 효율적인 활용이야말로 기업 경영에 있어서 핵심이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 인적자원의 역량을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법으로 대부분의 기업들은 교육훈련을 실시하고 있다. 교육훈련의 효율적인 활용이야말로 인적자원의 개발이고, 인적자원의 개발이 기업의 지속가능한 경영에 가장 중요한 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 인적자원 개발을 위한 교육훈련이 조직의 발전에 최우선이 되어야 함은 아무리 강조해도 지나침이 없다. 기업에 있어서 사람이 자산인데 자산을 키우기 위한 최선의 방법으로도 기업들은 효율적인 교육 훈련에 많은 연구를 실시하고 있다. 인적자원이 기업의 성패를 좌우할 만큼 중요한 핵심요소이고 기업의 핵심인 인적자원을 개발하기 위해선 교육 훈련이 핵심이고 핵심인 교육훈련은 기업의 인적자원개발에 대부분을 차지하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 기업교육의 효율성을 제고하기 위하여 HRD 요소들에 있어서 조직원 직무향상을 위한 교육효과에 초점을 맞추었다. 교육훈련에 관한 요인분석 결과 교육의 중요성인지, 교육 참가횟수, 교육내용 등의 사전인지가 교육의 효과를 높이는 요인으로 나와 있고, 이러한 결과를 토대로 회귀모형 분석을 제시하였다.

국제연합 식량농업기구 (FAO)에 의하면 UR 협상과 WTO 체제 출범 이후 농산물 수출국가와 선진국에서의 소득균형은 일반적으로 향상되었으나 순식량수입국가나 개발도상국가에서는 소득균형이 더 악화되고 농업영역의 쇠퇴를 가져왔다. 더욱이 식량안전상황은 농산물의 급격한 수입으로 여전히 불안하고 농가판매의 지속적인 악화, 농촌과 도시간의 소득격차가 큰 것으로 나타나고 있다. 특히 인간의 건강과 환경에 유해한 GMO의 거래는 소비자의 식품안전과 잠재적 위해 때문에 적절한 조치를 필요로 하고 있다. 아시아 지역 개발도상국가들에서의 식량의 안정적 공급과 농촌 지역사회 개발의 핵심적 과제는 인적자원의 개발, 기술역량의 신장, 하부구조의 개선, 농업기술 이전의 효율화 등으로 요약될 수 있다. 이러한 상황에서 농업교육, 연구 그리고 지도, 특히 아시아의 주요작물 영역에 대한 더 많은 투자가 필요하며 많은 아시아국가들에서 우선적으로 요구되는 농촌청소년교육은 빈곤퇴치, 식량의 안정적 공급 및 식품의 안전 그리고 지속적이고 균형있는 농촌개발 등이다. 이를 위한 정부와 국민, 특히 젊고 열정적인 사람들이 함께 협력해야 빈곤퇴치와 식량의 안정적 공급 및 식품의 안전 등 농촌의 사회경제적 발전이 가능할 것이다. 진행되고 있는 WTO 체제 하에서의 아시아 지역 농촌사회 발전과 식량문제 해결을 위해서는 교역과 환경, 그리고 개발의 총체적 접근이 중요하며 식량의 안정적 공급을 위한 농업, 농촌의 하부구조가 열악한 개발도상국 소농에 대한 우선적 배려가 필수적이라 할 것이다. 특히, 농업분야 생산 유통 분야의 개선을 위한 농업교육, 농촌지도의 국가적 강조와 농촌 청소년 교육 훈련과 육성의 중요성에 대한 인식과 이에 따른 국가적, 국제적 협력이 필요할 것이다.

Recently, project activity on environmental education has been overwhelmingly presented that is considered as a key learning & teaching strategy in Korea. This Study finds that Environmental project activity requires consideration of project-based Learning for sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to conduct project-based learning for eco-campus which is focused on sustainable development and to find out the learner's understanding sustainable development. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, project-based learning for sustainable development is concerned about enhancing learner's understanding sustainable development. It can be emphasized a viewpoint of sustainable way, a way of educational approach, and a possibility of expanding learner's experience in dealing with sustainable development. Second, this study showed also a results of application about project-based learning for eco-campus. Twenty three pre-service teachers conducted six different eco-campus projects. It is considered to make the student be able to catch up core knowledge and apply it during the project activity. In conclusion, this research asserts that project-based learning on sustainable development is needed to make students see the knowledge and value of sustainable development. It is considered to advance education for sustainable development as a new teaching & learning strategy.

This paper discusses the concept and continuously evolving applications of metaverse technology in the field of safety education, and proposes methodologies for employing metaverse technology in safety education. Additionally, it analyzes educational cases using the metaverse to explore specific directions for the advancement of safety education. Therefore, this study aims to propose methodologies for safety education utilizing metaverse technology. Recently, the metaverse has emerged as a new platform in various fields, including education. In particular, safety education using metaverse technology is carried out because it can provide an engaging learning experience by fostering understanding and immersion through interaction, moving away from one-way didactic teaching. This paper proposes a three-stage educational process for safety education using metaverse technology and presents various implementable projects and activity examples for each stage. This approach can contribute to developing practical response skills for various situations, going beyond traditional safety education methods. Future research is expected to deeply explore the long-term effectiveness of this educational methodology and its practical applicability in educational settings.

This study is to analyze the local community-connected Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) programs that 17 clubs' students and teachers developed and implemented for their ESD club activities in elementary and middle schools. For this study, ESD elements in the programs are analyzed and the way of connection between the local communities' organizations and the ESD clubs is inquired. The process of ESD club activities is also analyzed and the change of students after the local community-connected ESD club activities is examined. Finally, the way of dissemination to local communities after ESD club activities is inquired. This study is to contribute to the practice of the local community-connected ESD in a way that develops core competencies in elementary and middle school students that will allow them to build a sustainable future in local communities.

컴퓨터를 이용한 인터넷의 급속한 발전에 따라 이를 교육에 응용하려는 노력은 최근 몇 년 동안 지속적으로 진행되어 왔다. 이는 인터넷 이용인구의 급속한 증가로 인하여 웹 상에서의 가상교육 및 원격교육에 관한 필요성이 증대되었고, 이를 실용화하려는 노력은 여러 가지 방법을 통하여 논의되어 왔다. 따라서, 웹 코스웨어는 인터넷을 통한 원거리 학습자들에 대하여 학습욕구를 충족시키기 위한 목적으로 구현 및 개발되었다. 그러나, 이를 이용하려면 사용자의 시스템이 정보를 제공하는 서버와의 정보교환을 위하여 온라인 상태를 유지하였으며, 학습자가 서버에서 갱신되는 학습정보를 받아 보려면 온라인 상에서 학습자의 시스템이 서버로 접속이 이루어져야만 확인이 가능하였다. 본 논문은 이에 관하여 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)을 기반으로 한 웹 캐스팅 기법으로 웹 코스웨어를 구현하였으며 이를 위하여 CDF(Channel Definition Format) 형식을 이용하였다. 즉, 채널을 용하여 학습자가 자율적으로 채널을 선택하면, 학습자가 원하는 정보를 자동적으로 갱신되도록 하였다. 또한, 기존의 웹 코스웨어는 정보를 제공하는 서버의 학습내용이 변화될 때다 일일이 확인을 하여야 하는 반면 본 논문에서는 갱신되어진 내용을 학습자에게 자동적으로 업데이트되도록 하였다.

As modern society rapidly changes, the field of education has also developed speedily. Since Edunet system developed in 1996, many different systems are developing continuously such as Center for Teaching and Learning, cyber home learning systems, diagnosis prescribing systems, video systems, teaching and counseling, and study management systems. However, the aforementioned systems have had not great response from the educational consumers due to a lack of interconnection. There are several reasons for it. One of the reasons is that program administrators did not carefully consider the continuity of each programs but established a brand new system whenever they need rather than predict or consider the future needs. The suitable system for smart education should be one big integrated system based on many different data analysis and processing. The system should also supply educational consumers various and useful information by adopting the idea of bigdata rather than a single sign on system connecting each independent system. The cloud computing system should be established as a system that can be managed not as simple compiled files and application programs but as various contents and DATA.

This study was aimed to explore the level of awareness of Korean teachers and college students towards sustainable development(SD) and education for sustainable development(ESD). A survey was conducted to understand the present status of awareness of SD and ESD among 317 college students and 625 teachers in Korea from April to May of 2005. The questionnaire included items asking whether they heard about terms such as sustainability or sustainable development, the source of information on SD, the level of understanding or the urgent task for SD in Korea. It also included questions about experiences in participating in or conducting ESD, the need for ESD, important areas in and the modality for ESD and the willingness to participate in ESD. The results showed that the level of awareness on SD among teachers was low compared to college students, who have a relatively high level of access on SD issues through textbooks and classes in high school. Interestingly, most of college students replied that they never received any ESD, even though they learned SD in class. Both the teacher and student group thought that tile priority of sustainable development should be an 'environment-related' area in the social, economical and environmental perspectives. Most of the students and teachers considered the concept of SD as 'pursuing the balance between environmental protection and economic development.' Some of the teachers recognized the concept of sustainable development in the paradigm of continuous economic development. Both groups responded that the urgent task related to sustainable development is 'environmental protection' and the 'reduction of poverty.' On the other hand, they had experiences in teaching related to natural resources, gender equity, health, human rights, climate changes and other SD issues in class, but not under the name of ESD. They also emphasized 'critical thinking and problem solving & decision-making' in education. Most of the students and teachers responded that it was needed to carry out ESD, and that the way of life for SD would be the priority. It is suggested that various pedagogy and modalities according to various target groups should be considered in providing ESD. It is necessary to use more effective strategies for ESD rather than just introducing the concept of SD. Also, it is needed to review the ESD practices of teachers and improve the quality of education within the scope of ESD.
