Optimal Path Planning for UAVs under Multiple Ground Threats (다수 위협에 대한 무인항공기 최적 경로 계획)

  • This paper addresses the trajectory optimization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) under multiple ground threats like enemy's anti-air radar sites. The power of radar signal reflected by the vehicle and the flight time are considered in the performance cost to be minimized. The bank angle is regarded as control input for a 1st-order lag vehicle, and input parameter optimization method based on Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) is used for trajectory optimization. The proposed path planning method provides more practical trajectories with enhanced survivability than those of Voronoi diagram method.

  • 지상파 DMB등에서 많이 사용하고 있는 기술은 H.264이다. 이 H.264는 적은 비트율에 비하여 고해상도의 영상을 만들어 낸다. 이런 손실압축을 하기 위해서 인트라와 인터등과 같은 전처리 과정과 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform), 양자화 등등이 존재하지만 H.264에서 실제로 압축이 되는 부분은 엔트로피코딩이다. H.264에서는 Exp-Golomb과 CAVLC(Context-Adaptive Variable Length Coding), CABAC(Context-Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding) 세 가지를 지원하고 있다. 이중 CAVLC는 테이블을 기반으로한 압축기법을 사용한다. 테이블을 이용할 때는 코드워드의 길이와 값을 비교하는 방식을 사용하게 된다. 이는 수 많은 메모리 접속으로 인한 전력소모와 연산지연을 가져온다. 본 논문에서는 전송된 비트스트림에서 데이터를 찾을 때 코드워드의 길이와 값을 테이블에 비교해서 찾지 않고 테이블에 존재하는 규칙을 수식화 하여 찾을 수 있도록 하였다. 이는 최초 '1'이 나올때까지의 '0'의 개수와 그 이후 존재하는 코드의 값을 이용하여서 각 단계에 필요한 데이터를 추출해 낸다. 위와 같은 알고리즘을 이용하여 VHDL언어로 설계하였다.

Hot Firing Performance Measurement of Monopropellant Decomposition Catalyst and Domestic Development Status (단일추진제용 이리듐촉매의 연소성능 측정 및 국내개발 현황)

  • Hot firing performance test of hydrazine decomposition catalyst used for monopropellant thruster of satellite and launch vehicle was performed on the ground. A test equipment for hot firing performance measurement of catalyst test was developed in collaboration with Hanwha Corp., and the catalyst firing performance were tested with the equipment. After a reaction delay time, a catalyst activity and a granule stability were measured for 2 times, satisfactory results were obtained such as 25msec, 2%, $704^{\circ}C$ for each test items on the average. In addition, the current development status of domestic prototype catalyst and its decomposition performance test results are presented.

  • Underwater communication, which is used acoustic channel of 1500[m/s] speed being different of wireless electric wave in terrestrial communication, is sensitive on water temperature and salinity and also affected from 3D underwater space. 3D underwater communication is sensitive on propagation loss of acoustic wave and underwater noise with complexity of communication space. In this paper, transmission performance with consideration of these characteristics of 3D underwater communication environments is measured and analyzed on MANET operated on 3D underwater communication environments. Some underwater MANET operation conditions will be suggested. Computer simulation with underwater simulator based on NS-2 will be used for performance measure, performance parameter like as throughput, transmission delay, packet loss rate and consumed energy will be used in simulation for performance measure.

  • This paper presents the extraction scheme of the scattered waves by a target above the ground using the buried antenna in a lossy and dispersive medium. The half wave dipole antennas are used to transmit and to receive a signal. The transmission line model as a feeding model is considered to take into account the effect of transmission line in a real system. The ground is modeled by the 2nd order Debye approximation with the dispersion and loss. PLRC algorithm and DPML as absorbing boundary condition are utilized to apply the 2nd order Debye approximation to FDTD. To extract the scattered wave, in addition, we employed the delay time extraction algorithm. The simulations are conducted to observe the variation of magnitude in scattered wave and detection of target position according to the change of moisture content of the lossy medium.

Uniform Picture Quality Control among Video Sources (동영상 신호원간 균등화질 제어방법)

  • It is required to control the picture quality among video sources when the multiple video sources are together transmitted through the channel of fried bandwidth such as satellite and terrestrial broadcasting. This paper presents a control method to keep the uniform picture quality among the video sources. We first find a model of distortion and titrate far the multiplexing system of multiple sources. Then we allocate the bitrate to each source for uniformly divided picture quality among the sources by using the distortion-bitrate relationship for the real-time implementation without time delay. It is shown by simulation that the proposed quality control method can keep almost uniform picture quality among the sources in comparison to the conventional control method.

  • The underwater environments are quite different from the terrestrial ones in terms of the communication channel and constrains. In underwater wireless sensor network, the probability of node failure is high because sensor nodes are deployed in more harsh environments than the ground based networks and moved by waves and currents. There are researches considering the communication environments of underwater to improve the data transmission throughput. In this paper, we present a checkpointing scheme of the cluster heads that recoveries from a cluster head failure quickly. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme enhances the reliability of the networks and more efficient in terms of the energy consumption and the recovery latency than without checkpointing.

  • The synchronization of Time Delay and Integration (TDI) against the temporal variation of osculating altitude in the operation of high resolution satellite imager was studied. The characteristics of osculating altitude variation was analyzed and its impact on the performance of TDI imger was also investigated. A practical ]me rate control method was proposed to compensate instantaneous TDI mismatch due to the osculating altitude variation, so that geometrical performance enhancement was achieved by the proposed method. This study is applicable to real satellite operation and can be useful for satellite image quality enhancement.

  • 우리나라의 가뭄은 통계적으로 5~6년 주기로 발생해 왔으나 최근에는 가뭄의 발생 빈도가 점점 증가하고 주기 또한 짧아지는 경향을 보이고 있다. 가뭄의 패턴 또한 지속적이고 국지적으로 강하게 나타내는 경향이 있어 피해가 심각해지고 있다. 2017년도에는 모내기가 시작되어야 할 시기에 극심한 물 부족으로 이앙시기가 지연되고 밭작물이 마르는 피해를 겪었다. 국가가뭄정보센터의 2017년 가뭄예경보 자료에 따르면, 1~7월에는 안성, 서산, 홍성 지역을 중심으로, 7~9월에는 남해안지역을 중심으로, 10월~12월에는 울주, 경주, 밀양 지역을 중심으로 가뭄이 나타났음을 확인 할 수 있다. 가뭄 파악을 위한 방법 중 하나로 인공위성영상을 활용한 원격탐사 기법이 있으며, 국내에서는 관측주기가 짧고 관측폭이 넓은 Terra MODIS 영상을 활용하는 연구 사례를 다수 찾아볼 수 있다. 최근에는 드론에 NIR, 열화상, 초분광 카메라 등을 탑재하여 탐지범위가 국소적이지만 가뭄에 따른 작물의 상태를 보다 상세하게 파악하기 위한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 드론을 이용한 가뭄지역의 영상특성을 분석하는 기초자료를 구축하기 위하여 2017년 극심한 가뭄이 발생하였던 안성지역을 대상으로 Terra MODIS NDVI를 이용한 식생상태지수(VCI), 정규식생지수(SVI)를 분석하여 가뭄으로 추정되는 드론촬영 대상지역을 파악하였으며, 선정된 지역을 대상으로 R-G-NIR 카메라를 탑재한 드론 촬영을 실시하였다. 드론영상의 전처리를 통하여 고해상도 NDVI영상을 작성하고 지상의 작물 및 토지이용 상태에 따른 NDVI 분포특성과 Terra MODIS NDVI와의 차이점을 분석하였다.

  • Since the underwater communication environment, which is used mainly in acoustic channel, is different from terestrial communication, it needs to analyze the appropriate transmission performance in underwater environment to implement the communication services. Appropriate traffic process method for a communication service is required through transmission performance of object traffic for the communication service. In this paper, transmission performance of video traffic on underwater MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is analyzed and video traffic configuration scheme on underwater MANET with results of performance analysis is suggested, This study is done with computer simulation based on NS(Network Simulator)-3. throughput, transmission delay, packet loss rate is used for transmission performance.
