Derivation of the Baseline and Interference Effects for Block Edge Mask (Block Edge Mask의 대역 외 방출 기준치 유도 및 간섭 영향 분석)

  • As an introduction of an open spectrum allocation approach with technology and service neutrality is expected as a way to solve problems of frequency shortage due to the expansion of demand for wireless multimedia communications, recently, the new management model of interferences and its standard setting are required. In this paper, as a model for this new interference management considering several candidates, Block Edge Mask(BEM) approach is chosen as the most appropriate model. And to investigate the effects of interference resulting from the standard setting of BEM, assuming the use of LTE systems in the Digital Dividend, BEM out-of-band baseline in the boundaries between digital terrestrial television (DTV) service and LTE mobile communications services which are heterogeneous systems for analysis is derived and the effect of setting guard band is analyzed.

A Machine-to-machine based Intelligent Walking Assistance System for Visually Impaired Person (시각장애인을 위한 M2M 기반의 지능형 보행보조시스템)

  • The white stick mainly used for visually impaired person has difficulty in providing location information and effective countermeasures for emergency situations encountered during walking as well as detecting floating obstacles on the ground. In this paper, we propose a machine-to-machine based intelligent walking assistance system for safe and convenient walking of the visually impaired. The proposed system consists of a walking assistance stick used by the visually impaired and a server supporting multiple stick users in remote places through mobile communication networks. The stick equipped with ultrasonic sensors, GPS(global positioning system) receiver and vibrator not only detects floating obstacles, but also offers stick users with present location identification utilizing a text-to-voice conversion technology. Besides providing geographic information, the server notifies the emergency locations of users to guardian and aid agency, and it provides log information during walking such as the place, time and the number of accidents. Test results with a developed prototype system have shown that the system properly performs the functions and satisfies overall system performance.

Aircraft Position Prediction and Shadow Zone Penetration Control Using Bezier Curve (베지에 곡선을 이용한 항공기 위치 예측 및 음영 지역 진입 제어 방법)

  • Currently, the wireless network environment of air node is constructed mainly of ground relay station. However, as the Korean Peninsula is composed of 70% mountainous region, there are multiple shadow zones. This is calling for effective measures to prevent aircraft from losing communication link during low-mid altitude missions. In this article we propose the utilization of Bezier Curve for estimation of aircraft flight path and control method for entering shadow zone. This method successfully estimated aircraft track, and analyzed the existence, disseminated the warning, and took measures to avoid the shadow zone before entering. This article, suggested after simulated experiments, proves that the method enables seamless communication during air operations.

  • T.S. HANBADA will navigate to maintain the adequate distance between own ship and other ships safely for about 17 hours on the about 2 kts. On the above situation, M broadcasting station requires to maintain the distance from 100m to 500m between ships. This paper aims to calculate the minimum safe distance between ships, the distance is assessed by using ES Model which is a quantitative model for evaluating the difficulty of shiphandling. After marine traffic flow simulation, minimum safe distance for HANBADA on the 2kts is about 260m based ES value. On this paper, the result was compared about its distance to the actual navigating distance.

  • CAS(Conditional Access System) was developed for paid-for service in cable and fixed satellite broadcast system and technology and market maturity are high. However, these assessment is limited by CAS in fixed broadcasting system. In case of digital mobile broadcast such as T-DMB is difficult to apply CAS technology of fixed broadcasting system because of a use method and technology characteristic. Expecially, in case T-DMB using limited resources, a CAS message which must transmit in each service channel can cause problems. It is desirable that system transmits the CAS message which transmitted by each service channel through logical CAS message-only channel. In order to make a logical CAS message channel, we need a multiplexing techniques for CAS message using in each channel. In this paper, we design the CAS message multiplexing techniques for composition of CAS message-only channel.

A Method of Image Matching by 2D Alignment of Unit Block based on Comparison between Block Content (단위블록의 색공간 내용비교 기반 2차원 블록정렬을 이용한 이미지 매칭방법)

  • Due to the popular use of digital camera, a great number of photos are taken at every usage of camera. It is essential to reveal relationship between photos to manage digital photos efficiently. We propose a method that tessellates image into unit blocks and applies 2D alignment to extend content-based similar region from seed block pair having high similarity. Through an alignment, we can get a block region scoring best matching value on whole image. The method can distinguish whether photos are sharing the same object or background. Our result is less sensitive to transition or pause change of objects. In experiment, we show how our alignment method is applied to real photo and necessities for further research like photo clustering and massive photo management.

Experiment for 3D Coregistration between Scanned Point Clouds of Building using Intensity and Distance Images (강도영상과 거리영상에 의한 건물 스캐닝 점군간 3차원 정합 실험)

  • This study used the keypoint observed simultaneously on two images and on twodimensional intensity image data, which was obtained along with the two point clouds data that were approached for automatic focus among points on terrestrial LiDAR data, and selected matching point through SIFT algorithm. Also, for matching error diploid, RANSAC algorithm was applied to improve the accuracy of focus. As calculating the degree of three-dimensional rotating transformation, which is the transformation-type parameters between two points, and also the moving amounts of vertical/horizontal, the result was compared with the existing result by hand. As testing the building of College of Science at Konkuk University, the difference of the transformation parameters between the one through automatic matching and the one by hand showed 0.011m, 0.008m, and 0.052m in X, Y, Z directions, which concluded to be used as the data for automatic focus.

Video Image Mosaicing Technique Using 3 Dimensional Multi Base Lines (3차원 다중 기선을 사용만 비데오 영상 모자이크 기술)

  • In case of using image sequence taken from a moving camera along a road in an urban area, general video mosaicing technique based on a single baseline cannot create 2-D image mosaics. To solve the drawback, this paper proposed a new image mosaicing technique through 3-D multi-baselines that can create image mosaics in 3-D space. The core of the proposed method is that each image frame has a dependent baseline, an equation of first order, calculated by using ground control point (GCP) of optical flows. The proposed algorithm consists of 4 steps: calculation of optical flows using hierarchical strategy, calculation of camera exterior orientation, determination of multi-baselines, and seamless image mosaics. This paper realized and showed the proposed algorithm that can create efficient image mosaics in 3-D space from real image sequence.

  • 표면영상유속계측법(Surface Image Velocimeter; SIV)은 영상분석기법의 일종으로 하천 표면의 유동을 영상저장장치로 기록하고 연속되는 이미지상의 입자이동을 계산하여 유속을 산정하는 방법이다. 그러나 표면영상유속계를 활용한 유속분석과정에서 현장 상황에 따라 많은 오차 요인들이 있을 수 있기 때문에 계산한 유속 산정 결과를 그대로 사용하면 정확도가 낮아질 수 있다. 특히 야간 영상과 같은 영상의 화질이 떨어지는 경우에는 유속 산정 결과를 필터링해서 사용해야 한다. 이는 순간 유속장을 분석하는 과정에서 획득된 이미지에 따라 분석된 유속벡터가 평균 유속보다 과다하게 크거나 상관계수 값이 너무 작은 경우가 포함되기 때문이다. 이 연구에서는 제주도 외도천 외도정수장에서 2013년 5월 27일 집중호우에 의한 유출 발생 주 야간 유출영상자료를 획득하여 표면영상유속계(SIV)와 ADCP를 활용하여 유량을 분석하고, 동시에 고정식 전자파 표면유속계인 Kalesto 관측 유량과 비교 분석하였다. 비교과정에서 제주도는 댐방류량과 같은 유량의 참값이 없으므로 각각 관측기기의 상대적인 비교를 하여 경향성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 주간유출영상은 상관계수가 0.6~0.7범위에 해당하는 유속이 전체 59개의 유속벡터 중 6.8%로 나타났으며, 0.7~0.8범위가 13.6%, 0.8~0.9범위가 18.6%, 0.9~1.0범위가 61.0%의 퍼센트를 나타났다. 야간유출영상을 주간유출영상과 비교해보면 0.6~0.7범위에 해당하는 상관계수가 6.8% 높게 분석되었으며, 반대로 0.9~1.0범위에 해당하는 상관계수는 17% 낮게 분석되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 야간유출영상이 주간유출영상에 비해 영상의 질이 떨어짐을 나타내며 표면영상유속계를 적용하여 유량을 산정하는 과정에서 획득되는 영상에 따라 상관계수에 대한 합리적인 필터링 과정이 필요하다.

  • 기상이변으로 인해 국지성 호우의 발생 증가와 그로 인한 수재해 피해가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 수재해를 사전에 예측하고 저감하기 위해 비구조물적 대책인 실시간 홍수예보시스템 개발 및 운영에 관한 연구들이 수행되고 있다. 일반적으로 홍수예보시스템은 대피선행시간 확보를 위해서 초단시간 혹은 단기 수치예보모델을 수문해석모형이나 예보기법의 입력으로 활용하고 있다. 초단시간 예측은 기상레이더를 기반으로 외삽, 이류, 셀 추적 등의 기법을 활용하여 0~3시간 이내의 강수예측을 수행한다. 그러나 역학이나 물리적 과정이 동반되지 못하여 0~ 2시간 이내에서의 예측성은 높은 반면, 예측시간이 길어질수록 예측력이 낮아진다. 단기수치예보모델은 종관관측에 의존하면서 역학이나 물리과정을 동반하므로 0~6시간 혹은 12시간 이상의 예측을 수행하지만, 수치모델의 고유특성인 스핀업 등의 예측 불확실성이 내재되어 있어 예측 초기시간에서의 예측력이 낮은 한계가 있다. 따라서 강수예측의 정확도 향상을 위해 레이더와 수치예보모델의 병합기법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 통계분석을 통해 경험적으로 산출된 시간적 가중치를 이용한 기존 병합기법의 한계를 극복하면서 호우에 따른 가변성을 반영하는 실시간 병합기법을 개발하고, 수문학적인 활용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 사용된 예측강우 자료는 레이더 기반인 MAPLE, KONOS, 공간규모분할 예측강우와 수치예보모델 기반인 UM와 ASAPS의 예측강우이며, 제시한 가중치 산정기법은 직전 예측강우의 오차가 현 시점의 예측강우의 오차와 유사하다는 가정하에 오차항을 포함한 과거 1시간 예측강우들간의 가중치 조합이 과거 지상관측강우와의 평균제곱근오차가 최소가 되도록 화음 탐색법을 이용하여 찾는 것이다. 가중치 조합은 예측강우의 생산 시간 간격을 고려하여 매 10분마다 산정하며, 미래 3시간 예측까지 산정된 가중치를 적용한다. 수도권 영역을 대상으로 병합된 예측강우와 레이더 관측강우를 비교한 결과, 정량적 정확도가 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 예측강우의 수문학적 활용성은 도시유출해석모의를 통해 평가하였다. 그 결과, 병합된 예측강우로 모의된 수심이 관측수심과 유사하여 수문학적 활용성 확인할 수 있었다.
