  • This study estimated and decomposed the productivity changes into technological change and efficiency change components for the photonics industry and examined ways of imporving the productive efficiency. Unlike most previous studies, this study employed a non-oriented Malmquist productivity index, which is a non-radial method and deals directly with the input surpluses and output shortfalls. The empirical results show that the productivity of the photonics industry has increased. The main reason for this is the increase in technical efficiency. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference in the productivity changes according to the firm's geographic location and participation in government support programs. These findings suggest that the government's regional strategic industry promotion policy has contributed to improvements in the productive efficiency of photonics industry. The approach presented in this study could be used as a practical reference guide to help enhance the competitiveness of the photonics industry.

  • This study was started to find a way to activate the regional tour program of the Gwacheon National Science Museum, which covers a relatively wide area among public service organizations with the theme of science. In addition to the permanent exhibition program, the Gwacheon National Science Museum has been conducting tour programs in Gyeonggi and Gangwon Province since 2018 for residents in underprivileged regions who are unable to visit the Science Museum for geographic and environmental reasons, but it lacks awareness and effectiveness compared to other areas such as culture, welfare for the elderly, and education. As a result of the study, the first was an opportunity for a very special experience. The second was the joy of the few, A total of 3 upper units and 5 lower units were derived. This has positive effects such as increasing interest in science and expanding opportunities for experience. but it can be seen that it is urgent to supplement such as systematic promotion and improvement of the quality level of contents through professional artists.

  • A challenging task in the LBS system engineering is to implement a highly scalable system architecture which can manage moderate-size configurations handling thousands of moving items as well as upper-end configurations handling distributed computing system architecture that consists of multiple data processors, each dedicated to keeping records relevant to a different geographical zone and a different time zone. In this paper, we explain a prototype location data server structuring major components of GALIS by employing the TMO programming scheme, including the execution engine middleware developed to support real-time distributed object programming and real-time distributed computing system design. We present how to generate realistic location sensing reports and how to process such location reports and location-related queries. Some experimental results showing performance factors regarding distributed query processing are also explained.

  • Acoustic and ichthyoplankton data collected from Shelikof Strait in 1981, 1984 and 1985 were examined to determine spawning ground and period of walleye pollock, Theragra chalcogramma. Walleye pollock in the Gulf of Alaska migrated into Shelikof Strait for spawning during late winter and early spring. They entered Shelikof Strait via the warm and saline deep layer (continental slope water mass) in the southwestern channel, and major fish schools concentrated for spawning along the deep trough (250~300m) in the western part of the central strait. Peak spawning activity occurred there from late March to early April. Peak spawning time and area in Shelikof Strait varied little between years, despite difference in hydrography. Geographical advantages together with some oceanographic phenomena (reduced water transport and reduced mixed layer depth in spring) made that area an optimal spawning ground in the Gulf of Alaska during early April. After early April, spawning intensity decreased rapidly and the spawning area tended to expand to the northeast and southwest.

  • Internet Banking Offers Major Advantages for Both Banks and Customers. However, Not All People have equal Access or Skills to use such Services. The Main Objective of this Study is to Understand the Fctors Influencing Internet Banking Usage we Developed a Research Model Drawing from the UTAUT and Digital Divide Research. The Model was Tested and find more than 90% of Variance of Internet Banking Usage was Explained by the Model. Results Demonstrate that the Strongest Factor Influencing the Intention to adopt Internet Banking Services is the Degree to which an Individual Believes that it is Safe to use such Services. In the Paper, all the Hypotheses Except for the Hypothesis on the Effort Expectation are Accepted with Statistical Significance.

  • The Mesopotamia civilization is developed by physical geography. It began from Sumer civilization at BC 3800 and finished to Assyria and Babylonia civilization at BC 600. Therefore, to examine the changing process of the city of 3,000 years standing, it is important to know the elements of the influence to the initial human civilization and city. This study analyzed the 13 cities, that the city were among the 30 the city in same age. As a result of this study, firstly, functions of the city were gradually transition from the farming culture to the functions of commerce, trade, and military. Secondly, the location of the city was gradually move into northern from southern, it is associated with features of the city. Thirdly, the aspect of urban form, the hills above the city of Tel's shape was gradually coming down to the plains. So later, became a form of urban planning undisturbed terrain. fourthly, urban structure has slowly changed from the temple based city to palace based city.

  • The purpose of this study is to explain the neighborhood region "gimpo northwest area" connection development make use of a core tourist area "kanghwado" of visitor behavior characteristics. this is a foundation data for research of kanghwado behavior characteristics. For this research, the description of the current study were as follows. First kanghwado revisitors of high potentialities visit gimpo northwest area. so its demanded same or different attraction development and make an target marketing from kanghwado revisitors. Second the gimpo northwest keep the accent on development history and experience education of housewives families. Third publicity board parking area and infrastructure is demanded on the 48th street. Forth Han river and Imjin river meeting point gimpo north area, each other kanghwado gimpo west put opposite Yeomha river there can see point the west sea. therefore we need waterside attraction.

  • Humans have been searching for more comfortable places for centuries. The comfort concept which is related with vitality in Pungsu is closest to science. The comfort concept was introduced as being based upon measurable human physiological and psychological reactions. Two classification nomograms, the comfort index and the wind effect index were identified. The Pungsu concept can be applied in America, and one of them is North Cemetery located in the town of Hampton in northeastern Connecticut not far from Storrs campus, the University of Connecticut. The human reaction to comfort not only physiologically but also individually is various in various climate region. It is important to search for more comfortable places or to make up for less comfortable places with Pungsu as the adaptive strategy for the comfort.

  • The purpose of this study was to ascertain and analyze environmental factors of subgenus Lycoctonum in Korea for conservation and management of rare high land plant species by GIS. We derived the habitat model of Lycoctonum from GPS coordination, habitat factors and digital topology maps. Suitable altitude fur the subgenus Lycoctonum is from 470m to 1320m, and northern slopes(between 15.5 and 36 degrees) are ideal for the Lycoctonum populations. In addition to altitude, slope and aspect, deciduous forest and approximation to water source were found as important factor. Using GIS and the Lycoctonum habitat model, we overlaid elevation, aspect, slope and land cover layers and analyzed buffer from the water source on two topology maps, Yang-Soo and Mock-Dong. After making prediction map for Lycoctonum habitat, we verified the existence of Lycoctonum populations on the predicted sites through field survey. Through this research, we're convinced that GIS software is powerful tool for plants conservation, such as finding unknown habitat or selecting alternative habitat.

  • The cross-border flow of workers in EU having the freedom of labor mobility and residence plays a role in the border labor markets as a structural factor of regulation. The regulation role of the cross-border flow of workers on the Grand R$\acute{e}$gion, which is the border among the France-Belgium-Luxemburg-Germany, is as follows. First, the cross-border flow of workers regulates the regional surplus and lack of labor in quantity and quality. Second, the border labor markets are regulated by the regionally segmented supply and demand of labor and are modulated by the flexible employment like a part-time and temporary employment. Third, the residence of the cross-border workers concentrates on the adjacent regions to the border. And the atypical cross-border workers, who have their residence in the neighboring country but works in the existing country, are rising rapidly.
