지리적 표시란 농산물 및 그 가공품의 명성, 품질, 기타 특징이 본질적으로 특정지역의 지리적 특성에 기인하는 경우, 당해 농산물 및 그 가공품이 그 특정지역에서 생산된 특산품임을 표시하는 것을 의미한다. 지리적 표시제는 우수 농산물 및 그 가공품의 지리적 표시를 등록.보호함으로써 지리적 특산품의 품질을 향상하고 지역특화산업으로 육성하여 생산자를 보호.육성하고, 소비자에게는 특정 제품에 대한 지리적 명칭의 정보를 제공함으로써 안전하고 우수한 농산물 및 그 가공품을 소비할 수 있게 하여 궁극적으로 생산자와 소비자를 모두 보호하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 우루과이라운드(UR)에 의한 무역협상 타결로 '95년에 출범한 세계무역기구(WTO)는 "무역관련 지적재산권 협정(Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights: TRIPs)"을 다자간 무역협상의 대상으로 추가함으로써 통상교섭의 영역을 상품 및 서비스생산 중심에서 지적재산권 영역까지 확대시켰다. 우리나라는 2001년부터 "TRIPs" 협정에 대한 일반적 이행을 의무화하고 있으며, '96년 10월 한.EU기본협력협정 체결시 EU의 지리적표시 보호를 위한 제도적 장치 마련을 요구하는 등 국제적인 지리적표시 보호 강화 움직임에 보다 적극적으로 대처하고, 우리나라의 우수한 지리적 특산품을 국내 및 국제적으로 보호하기 위해 '99년 농수산물품질관리법에 지리적표시 등록제가 도입되었다. 현재 보성녹차, 하동녹차, 고창복분자, 영양고추 및 서산육쪽마늘, 의성마늘, 괴산 고추 및 순창고추장, 괴산 고춧가루, 성주참외, 해남겨울배추, 이천쌀, 철원쌀이 등록되었고 지역 경제 활성화에도 가교 역할을 하고 있어 다양한 품목에 대한 지리적 표시 등록을 위한 연구가 적극적으로 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는최근 수행한 음성 고추, 제주 광어, 제주 감귤의 지리적 특성과 품질 특성과의 관계를 조사 분석한 연구내용을 소개하고자 하였다.

Recently more emphasis thinking is domain-specific by cognitive psychologists, because problem solving needs domain-specific knowledge. Improving students' geographical thinking should ensure that geographic skills are used when developing teaching-leaming objectives. Knowledge is undoubtedly important, but for the purpose of the teaching of geography thinking, skills are critical. The purpose of this paper is to make specification of geographic skills as a frame of reference for instructional objectives. Based on cognitive psychology, this paper examined the interdependence relationship between thinking and knowledge. Next, we attempt to conceptualize high order geographical thinking and relatively lower order geographic skills and to explore specification of geographic skills in complex thinking strategical perspectives.

Geographical indications are signs which identify a good as originating in the territory of a specific country, region, or locality, where the quality, reputation or other characteristics of the product is essentially attributable to its geographical origin. Korea has implemented geographical indication system through its Agricultural Product Quality Control Act since 1999. This research analyzes the impacts and implications of geographical indications on a particular cultural industry in a region using a case study of Boseong green tea which is the first product that was officially registered as a geographical indication in Korea. The results show that the geographical indication has contributed to the promotion of green tea industry in Boseong not only through increase of production but also through development of tourism. The implication is that a geographical indication can be used as an effective method to cope with trade liberalization in terms of agricultural policy. Another implication is that a geographical indication provides an efficient tool for place marketing.

Geographical Identification (GI) regulation is not common in Korea. Although studies on the regulation recently have been conducted, there is a lack of academic discussion about its domestic introduction and activation plan. GI regulation has advantages in terms of activation of local industry, consumer protection, and economic efficiency. Moreover, the quality of agricultural and marine products in Korea is not lower than that in Europe to apply GI regulation. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the regulation in Korea through the review of the reference cases. This study examines the status of GI regulation and policies in Korea and foreign countries for the protection of domestic liquor industry. This study also provides suggestions to achieve the growth of domestic Makgeolli through GI regulation as if the liquors representing a country such as French wine, Japanese sake, and German beer are being loved around the world.

기업결합에서의 경쟁제한성을 판단하는데 있어 지리적 시장의 범위를 획정하는 것은 매우 어려운 문제이다. 지리적 관련시장을 세계시장으로 획정하는 경우 국제시장의 정치, 경제적 복잡성을 무시하는 결과가 될 뿐 아니라 반경쟁적 행위를 허용하게 되는 위험이 있음도 부정할 수 없다. 그러나 오늘날 국제화가 진전되고, 특히 IT기술 등의 발전에 힘입어 지리적 관련시장이 확대되는 추세에 있는 점은 부인하지 못할 것이다. 독일의 경우 지리적 시장범위가 독일국내를 벗어날 수 있는 근거규정을 아예 입법화한 것도 이러한 추세를 반영한 결과의 하나가 아닌가 생각된다. 세계시장이 인정되기 위해서는 어떤 요소가 충족되어야 하는가에 대한 국내외의 사례분석이 필요하다고 본다.

구성주의 수업은 삶의 경험 혹은 나의 문제로 전환된 문제를 학습주제로 하여, 교사와 학습자, 학습자간에 상호성과 상보성이 전제된 대화화 협력을 통해, 맥락에 적합한 지식을 구성하는 활동이라 할 수 있다. 구성주의 지리교육은 지리학을 위해 지리적 지식을 구성하는 것이 아니라, 지리적 삶을 위해 지리적 지식을 구성하는 것이다. 이것은 지리적 맥락과 맥락의 구성에 충실할 때 가능해 진다. 방법론적으로는 생활 주변에서 볼 수 있는 지리적 사상을 학습대상으로 하여, 이들을 그림이라는 상징을 통해 학습자 스스로 맥락에 따라 구성, 재구성하는 과정 속에 지리적 지식이 구성되게 하는 것이다.

지리적 표시 단체표장은 WTO/TRIPs 협정체결을 통하여 비로소 범국가적으로 보호되기 시작한 신지식재산권이다. 지리적 표시라 함은 상품의 특정 품질 및 명성 또는 그 밖의 특성이 본질적으로 특정지역에서 비롯된 경우 그 지역에서 생산 및 제조 또는 가공된 상품임을 나타내는 표시를 말한다. 본 연구는 지리적 표시 단체표장과 관련된 연구를 중심으로 문헌분석을 수행하기 위해 2000년부터 2016년까지 우리나라 학술지에 게재된 연구를 대상으로 하였다. 국내 학술논문을 수집하기 위해 사회과학 논문 데이터베이스인 RISS와 DBpia 및 KISS에서 "지리적 표시 단체표장"의 주제어를 이용하여 검색하였다. 검색을 통해 총 24편의 논문을 수집하였다. 문헌분석을 통해 나타난 지리적 표시 표장제도에 대한 문제점과 시사점 그리고 이론적 학술적 의의를 제시하고자 한다.

This study reviews the concept and protection system for the geographical Indication(GI) to support the Korea-EU FTA. A geographical indication(GI) is a name or sign used on certain products or which corresponds to a specific geographical indication or origin (eg. a town, region, or country). The use of a GI may act as a certification that the product possesses certain qualities, or enjoys a certain reputation, due to its geographical origin. In the WTO Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual property Rights("TRIPS"). There are, in effect, two basic obligations from Article 22 to article 23 on WTO member governments relating to GIs in the TRIPS agreement. Geographical Indications have long been associated with Europe as an entity, where there is a tradition of associating certain food products with particular regions, Under European Union Law, the protected designation of origin system which came into effect in 1992 and 2003 regulates the following geographical indications: Protected designation of origin(PDO) and protected geographical indication(PGI) and Traditional Specialty Guaranteed(TSG). They have 5,000 articles for GI. We have the GI system and 40 articles rotating to registration by the law for quality management of production in agriculture. Cinclusinally, geographical indications could potentially serve as tools to helf holders of trade benefit more equitable through the mutual Acceptance for Korea-EU FTA.

This study searched for comparison with geography of Qing China, origin of geographical name, people's feature and costume, description on regional geography, and perception on locality on view of a geographer, Ji-Won Park, a renowned Korean scholar of practical learning on the late 18th century. This study on the first three chapters of his Yorha Ilgi - "Crossing the Amnok(Yalu) River("渡河錄")," "Several Records on Senyang("監京雜識")," and "Writing Essays, Riding Horses("馹迅隨筆")," focusing on landscape of Qing China, inquiry on geographical name, feature and costume, and descriptions on locality, gives a glimpse on Park's geographical view on geography of Qing China. His writing style to compare landscapes between Korea and Qing China, full of his love for Korean landscape, is very delicate and clear, Although he sentimentalized when he passed through Bonghwang-castle(鳳凰城) in China, his subtle and beautiful writing explains that land and mountains in Han-yang(Seoul) are much more wonderful than those in China. His vivid depiction of landscape and weather on his way in Qing China is remarkable and explanation on geographical names like Parhae(渤海), Yoha(遼河), Taejaha(太子河), Senyang(瀋陽) etc. is enough to stimulate readers' curiosity on geography.

본 논문은 한국산 박새(Parus major)의 소리(song)를 이용해서 태백산맥을 경계로 동서간의 지리적 변이에 관한 논문이다. 박새 소리의 지리적인 변이를 알아보기 위하여 지역간 음절의 시간과 주파수 요인을 비교하고, factor의 군집화의 지역간의 변이정도를 알아보기 위하여 Cluster Analysis와 discriminant Analysis를 실시하였다. 그 결과 태백산맥을 경계로 동쪽지역여과 서쪽지역은 영덕군과 청송군, 삼척시와 태백시를 중심으로 해서 지리적인 변이를 나타냈다.
