Physical Geographical Background of Geotourism Resources in Gumho River Basin (금호분지 내 지리관광자원의 자연지리학적 배경)

  • In this paper Gumho drainage basin is divided into six geomorphic units (Bohyeon, Palgong, Biseul mountainous areas and Yeongcheon, Gyeongsan, Daegu basin), and physical geographical background and distributional characteristics of geotourism resources in each geomorphic unit are examined. Most(32 sites, 78%) of geotourism resources in Gumho basin reflect geomorphological environment, rest(7 sites, 17%) of them reflect geological environment. There are three geomorphological resources in Bohyeon mountainous areas, eight geomorphological resources in Palgong mountainous areas, and five geomorphological resources and one cultural resource in Biseul mountainous areas. There are two geomorphological resources, one geological resource, one biological resource, and two cultural resources in Yeongcheon basin. Among them one biological resource and and one cultural resource reflect local geomorphological environment. In Gyeongsan basin are there one geomorphological resource, three geological resources, and one biological resource, but one biological resource reflects local geomorphological environment. There are eight geomorphological resources, two geological resources, and three biological resources in Daegu basin. But two biological resources among them reflect local geomorphological environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the concept of the geographic center, to examine its value as locational resource, and to consider the way of its practical uses. Geographic center is the intersection point where central meridian and central parallel cross each other. This geographic locational resources can be used as data for locational education in geographic education, the standards for antipodes, datum points for geodetic surveying, a factor of place marketing, etc. This study can be a model for a geographic discovery that is to seek many geographic resources being scattered about our country.

  • 에너지 자원이 절대 부족하여 에너지 해외의존도가 97% 이상인 우리 나라의 입장에서는 에너지 해외의존도를 경감시키고 에너지를 안정시키기 위하여 국내의 부존에너지를 최대한 활용하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 또한 지구온난화에 대처하는 범세계적인 규제에 대비하기 위하여, 청정한 에너지를 적극 개발하여 에너지자립도를 향상시켜야 한다. 소수력 자원은 다른 대체에너지원에 비하여 에너지밀도가 매우 크기 때문에 개발할 가치가 큰 부존자원으로 평가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지리정보시스템을 통해 소수력자원에 대한 정보제공과 함께 소수력 자원지도구축을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 소수력 지리정보시스템을 구축하였으며, 국내 840개 표준유역의 소수력자원량을 산정하였다. 그림 1은 표준유역의 소수력 연간발전가능량 주제도를 나타낸다.

A Study on Botanical Resources in Sejong-Jirhiji (세종 지리지의 자원식물고)

  • Sejong-Jirhiji, completed in 1454, has records on Anthropologic and NaturalGeography, Economy, Military affairs and Indusry, especially in the side of Industry, resources plant is included. It has much more species, which are almost wild and only a few cultivated, tham in the Moden book of Geography. The total species of resources plant recorded in 8 provinces are 1277, but by the system of classifcation they are 104 families and 267 species. It is almost same record as in Hyang- Yak Chip Seong Bang published in 1433, in which the total species are 103 families, 281 species. We can see the voluntary will to avoid chinese chemical, expensive and difficult to get, and to exploit our own in this book. Among these, Cullen coryliforia included in Leguminosae, Styrax benzoin included in Styraceae and Ocimum sanctum included in Labiatae are plants of trophic or subtropic. We don't know through which passage do they come. The different names on a same species give a difficult problem in understanding the traditional book. Today resources plant's spread recorded in Sejong-Jirhiji gives a referential help, and Korean botany is based on it.

  • 1996년 4월1일 부터 1998년 3월 31일까지 지리산의 국립공원에서 많은 고등균류를 채집하였다. 그것들을 생태적 자원면에서 분류한 결과는 다음과 같다. 희귀 균류는 진균문에서는 줄솔밭버섯(Omphalina ericetorum)을 포함하여 15종이고 변형균문에서는 아재비털먼지(Trichia affinis), 청황색자루먼지(Physarum viride var. aurantium)을 2종을 확인하였다. 그리고 식용가능한 균류는 135종, 재배가능한 버섯은 16종, 독버섯은 35종, 항암버섯(약용포함)은 68종, 균근형성균은 51종, 목재부후균(낙엽분해균포함)은 177종이었다.

Estimation of Small Hydropower Resources and Development of Geographic Information System (소수력 자원량 산정과 지리정보시스템 구축)

  • Small hydropower is one of the many types of new and renewable energy, which South Korea is planning to develop, as the country is abundant in endowed resources. In order to fully utilize small hydropower resources, there is a need for greater precision in quantifying small hydropower resources and establish an environment in which energy sources can be discovered using the small hydropower geographic information system. This study has given greater precision to calculating annual electricity generation and installed capacity of small hydropower plants of 840 standard basins by inquiring into average annual rainfall, basin area and runoff coefficient, which is anticipated to promote small hydropower resources utilization. Small hydropower geographic information system was also established by additionally providing base information on quantified small hydropower resources and analysis function and small hydropower generator status, rivers, basin, rainfall gauging station, water level gauging station etc., all of which were not provided by the domestic hydropower Resources Map System. Established GIS small hydropower energy system can be used to basic information for active uses of small hydropower energy which is scattered to the entire country.
