A Study on The Development and Evaluation of Mine Detective Gear (지뢰 탐지용 방호복 구성과 방호성능 및 착용감 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate a newly developed protective suit with the fragments of grenade. The protection efficiency should be strengthened upon the degree of wound. The fragment weight of the used grenade was measured and the kinetic energy of the maximum speed of the fragments in the field test was 137.7J and this could be the protective efficiency test by the multitude fragments in less than 0.031g of the M16A1. The panel inserted to the new demining suit has protection rate of 100% within the distance of 1m and sample II has protection rate of 100% only beyond the distance of 5m. The test showed that the protection rate on the protective suit of the existing garment was comparatively high, however, the protection rate of the sleeve part was very low. The new demining suit through the research demand some complementary measures to lower the temperatures in ear, average skin temperatures, and the temperatures-humidity inside the clothing for summer climate condition, It showed that 30 minutes of rest on the clothing was difficult to go back to the original condition. But in winter climate condition, there was no problem in the temperature, humidity, and comfort to go back to the original condition during the rest and was better in warmth.

  • 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 기반 NXT 로봇을 제어하여 길찾기, 미로찾기, 장애물오르기 등의 주행을 수행하는 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 미로 찾기는 RBG 센서를 통해 트랙의 색을 구분하여 정해진 색을 따라 주행하는 하는 것이며, 장애물 미로구간에서는 NXT 로봇 자신이 장애물을 넘지 못한다는 것을 인식하여 미로를 찾아 빠져나가도록 초음파 센서를 이용한다. 초음파 센서로 자신이 통과할 수 있는 진입로로 판단되면 주행을 계속하며, 그렇지 않은 경우에는 좌우회전을 통해 미로구간을 통과한다. 마지막 계단식 장애물 구간에서는 접촉센서와 초음파 센서를 통해서 물체의 높이를 가늠하여, 접촉센서 값과 초음파 센서 값을 통해 프로그램은 통과 여부와 계단높이를 판단한다. 실험결과 로봇은 제어프로그램 시나리오에 따라 적절하게 수행함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 로봇 제어를 확대하면 사람을 대신하는 재난구조 활동, 전쟁시 지뢰탐지 및 적 정찰활동, 지하공동구 및 지하매설물 안전 점검활동 등을 수행하는 업무로 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서 사용한 로봇은 I-Brick이라는 마이크로프로세서를 통해 프로그램을 구동되며, 저 전력으로 I-Brick과 그와 연결된 센서와 서브 모터 등을 구동하고 제어하도록 설계하였다.

  • This paper is for the state of the art of the lightweight protective clothing against the mine, and it covers the preliminary work focused on the appropriate protection, ballistics, convenience, and wearability. It is suggested that the lightweight protective clothing should be fabricated with the laminated materials of high strength woven and non-woven fabrics to reduce the weight and thickness, thus improving the wearability. And partial reinforcement of the protective clothing is necessary to prevent the mortal wound near the important parts of the body without disturbing the arbitrary activity. The composition of the protective clothing should be designed in consideration of easy putting-on and taking-off in addition to easy divesture, which require little motion of the body is in case of serious injury. Additionally, status of the practical technique for high performance and ultra-light hybrid armor material were also described.

  • Our vision is to see the North and there is a large visual target that the two exchanges and cooperation and unity that put the main enemy of enemies in mind in need. North Korea is the main enemy was illegal invasion June 25, 1950 July 27, 1953 has continued after the armistice join the illegal provocations and cease fire violations so far. August 4, 2015, North Korea was operating by the power differential that operate on an all-out war and declared the initial state after the exhibition gave another provocative DMZ wood box mines. US-ROK military was in the process of real-time detection of the North Korean power operation and the results were broadcast live through the media. Looking at these military provocations on the threat of asymmetrical power of North Korea's military threat, we would like to present how to respond.

  • We conducted geophysical surveys to detect antitank mine at Namji-eup, Gyeongsangnam-do which had been installed during Korean war. The surveys consisted of 2 stages, at the first stage we divided the survey area into 7 block and carried out magnetic gradient survey and GEM-3 EM survey sequentially for each block. Hence we verified anomaly areas using an excavator and a metal detector. Most of anomalies were found to be garbages such as trash cans, metallic wastes, and so on. And also, the concrete pipe was found at depth of 1 m, which had not referred in any report of that area. At the second stage, after trenching the covered soil down to 75 cm the same surveys were conducted. We could not find the strong signal to be inferred from a antitank mine, but we pointed out some anomalies to need careful handling because demining is very dangerous work even though there is few possibility that is mine.
