Antibiotic Resistance and Plasmid Profile of Vibrio parahaemolyticus Strains Isolated from Kyunggi-Incheon Coastal Area (경기인천 연안에서 분리된 장염비브리오균의 항생제 내성 및 플라스미드 보유 현황)

  • Vibrio parahaemolyticus is one of the major agents responsible for food poisoning during summer in Korea, which is transmitted via seawater or seafoods. Recently, distribution of the bacteria in the marine environment has been increased due to global warming. Great concern also has been raised regarding public hygiene as well as marine culture by the emergence of pathogens with antibiotic resistance. Therefore, distribution of V. parahaemolyticus and antibiotic resistance of the isolates were monitored in 7 coastal areas of Kyonggi Province and Incheon by sampling seawater, fishes and clams monthly. V. parahaemolyticus was detected from 47.7% of 966 samples (seawater 61.9%, seafoods 41.8%) analyzed using $CHROMagar^{TM}$ and TCBS agar plates as well as multiplex PCR. Among 13 antibiotics tested, resistance to vancomycin and ampicillin was observed in 97.3% and 87.3% of the isolates, respectively, and the ratios of them resistant to cephalothin (48.8%) and rifampin (46.1%) were also high. The isolates were most highly sensitive to chloramphenicol (91.7%) and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (91.8%). The ratio of sensitivity for other antibiotics was also high in the descending order of gentamycin (82.3%), tobramycin (74.8%), nalidixic acid (71.6%), tetracyclin (69.4%), cefotaxime (63.0%). About 69% of the isolates showed multiple drug resistance toward 3 antibiotics including vancomycin and ampicillin. Two of them exhibited resistance for 11 antibiotics used in this study. Plasmid profile analysis of the isolates with antibiotic resistance revealed that 55.1% of them retained plasmids of 24 different types. However, no clear inter-relationship between the resistance and the plasmid profile has been observed.

A Study on Searching Algorithm for Malfunction Pattern of Protection Devices in Distribution System with PV Systems (태양광전원이 연계된 배전계통 보호협조기기의 부동작패턴 탐색알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the Korean government developed the RE3020 (renewable energy) policy to overcome environmental problems, such as fine dust, climate change, and large-scale PV systems interconnected with a distribution system. When a large-scale PV system is interconnected in the distribution system, however, a malfunction can occur, and the protection devices may not be operated because of the dividing effect depending on the magnitude and direction of fault current as well as connection types and location of the PV system. Therefore, this paper proposes a search algorithm for the malfunction pattern of protection devices based on various scenarios, when large-scale PV systems are operated and interconnected in a distribution system. This paper presents a malfunction mechanism of protection devices according to the installation locations of recloser (R/C). Furthermore, the modeling of a distribution system with large-scale PV systems was performed using Off-DAS S/W, and the malfunction patterns of protection devices were analyzed based on a range of scenarios. From the simulation results with the proposed model and algorithm for searching for protection devices, it was confirmed that they are useful and effective in identifying a malfunction phenomenon depending on the installation location of the R/C and connection type of PV system.

Autogenous Shrinkage Properties of High Strength Alkali Activated Slag Mortar (고강도 알칼리 활성 슬래그 모르타르의 자기수축 특성)

  • Recently, lots of researches on alkali-activated slag (AAS) concrete have been carried out to resolve the environmental issues such as recycling by-products and global warming. AAS concrete would have high strength and high level of durability. On the other hand, it is known that large amount of shrinkage occurred in AAS concrete due to rapid alkaline reaction in the early age, and however, the related studies about autogenous shrinkage of high strength AAS mortar are relatively rare. In this study, fresh mortar properties such as flow and setting time, compressive strength and autogenous shrinkage of AAS mortar with W/B=0.40 to 0.50, were measured. AAS mortar was activated with sodium silicate (Ms=1.0) with 5, 6 and 7 % of $Na_2O$. Test results revealed that AAS morar shows larger autogenous shrinkage than OPC mortar and the lower W/B of AAS mortar, the greater autogenous shrinkage. Therefore, the application of appropriate curing and the use of shrinkage reduction admixture would be needed to reduce autogenous shrinkage of AAS mortar.

  • Recently, as part of diversifying energy sources and earth environmental issues, technology development of new renewable energy using wave energy is actively promoted and commercialized around Europe and Japan etc. In particular, OWC(Oscillating Water Column) wave power generation system using air flow induced by vertical movement of the water surface by waves in an air-chamber within caisson is known as the most efficient wave energy absorption device and therefore, is one of the wave power generation apparatus the closest to commercialization. This study examines air flow velocity, which operates turbine(Wells turbine) directly in oscillating water column type wave power generation structure from two-and three-dimensional numerical experiments and discusses optimal shape of oscillating water column type wave power generation structure by estimating the maximum flow rate of air according to change in shape. The three-dimensional numerical wave flume was applied in interpretation for this study which is the model for the immiscible two-phase flow based on the Navier-Stokes Equation. From this, it turned out that size of optimal shape appears differently according to the incident wave period and air flow is maximized at the period where minimum reflection ratio occurs.

  • Rice (Oryza sativa) cultivars show an impairment of growth and development in response to abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, heat and cold at the early seedling stage. The tolerance to heat stress in plants has been genetically modulated by the overexpression of heat shock transcription factor genes or proteins. In addition to a high temperature-tolerance that has also been altered by elevating levels of osmolytes, increasing levels of cell detoxification enzymes and through altering membrane fluidity. To examine the heat tolerance in transgenic rice plants, three OsOPT10 overexpressing lines were characterized through a physiological analysis, which examined factors such as the electrolyte leakage (EL), soluble sugar and proline contents. We further functionally characterized the OsOPT10 gene and found that heat induced the expression of OsOPT10 and P5CS gene related proline biosynthesis. It has been suggested that the expression of OsOPT10 led to elevated heat tolerance in transgenic lines.

$N_2O$ Emissions on the Soil of Alpine Wetland by Temperature Change (온도 변화에 따른 산지습지 토양의 $N_2O$ 배출 양상)

  • Global warming due to climate change is a problem facing the entire world. Several factors, such as $CO_2O$ concentration, level of warming, soil temperature, precipitation, water content of soil and denitrification by denitrifying bacteria influence the emission of nitrous oxide ($N_2O$) from soil. In this study, we investigated nitrous oxide emissions from the soil of two wetlands, Jilmoineup in Mt. Odae and Moojechineup in Mt. Jungjok, according to temperature change. Soil collected in Jilmoineup in July showed increasing $N_2O$ emissions as temperature increases, but did not show any significant differences at $10^{\circ}C$ (p<0.05). Soil of $15^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$ showed increasing pattern of $N_2O$ emissions until 24 h. After that, however, there was no difference in temperature. Overall, $N_2O$ emissions showed significant differences according to temperature (p<0.05). Soil collected from Moojechineup in July showed increasing $N_2O$ emissions according to temperature increase, but did not show any significant differences at $10^{\circ}C$ (p<0.05) as was the case for Jilmoineup soil. On the other hand, two wetland soils showed a slight increase of $N_2O$ emissions by additional nitrogen supply, but did not show any significant differences in the presence of nitrogen or between nitrogen sources. In conclusion, increasing temperature the wetland soil increased the emission of $N_2O$, which is a known greenhouse gas. In order to more clearly identify $N_2O$ emissions, various subsequent studies such as the influence and correlation of several factors are required.

The Strategies of Transport Demand Management to Decrease the Greenhouse Gases in Transportation Part (교통부문 온실가스 배출량 저감을 위한 교통수요관리 방안 전략 연구)

  • The growing amount of using the fossil fuel is bringing about environmentally, economically serious problems like as global warming. To solve the problems, the international society has begun to decrease greenhouse gases through the international agreement like as the climate change convention. In South of Korea, it was presented practical goal of Green Development try to decrease greenhouse, which is the future 60 years vision. And, it contains the strategies of Green Development and 5th Plan of Green Development. Nowadays, the government accepted the active alternative scenario 3, which is the goal of 4% decrease in greenhouse gases until 2020's, presented by Presidential Committee on Green Growth. This study established the strategies of Transport Demand Management to decrease the greenhouse gases in transportation part, and then we measured the effect of them. As a result, if it takes effect the aggressive strategies annually, it will cut greenhouse gas pollution by 3.1%, which is 7,590,000t$CO_2eq$, in transportation part. So, we can expect that it would be the effective policy tool to achieve the goal of government, which is the Green Development, if it controls the strategies of TDM effectively by the political needs.

The Estimation of IDF Curve Considering Climate Change (기후변화를 고려한 IDF곡선 추정방안에 대한 연구)

  • IDF 곡선은 전통적으로 지점에서의 과거 관측 강우량 시계열 자료를 수집하여 작성하여 왔으며, 이때 과거 강우량 자료는 정상성을 지니고 있고 미래를 대변한다는 가정을 전제로 한다. 그러나 이미 많은 연구자들에 의해 기후변화가 전구적으로 발생하고 있으며 우리나라에서도 더 이상 기후변화의 사실여부는 이제 더이상 논란 꺼리가 아니다. 특히, 기후변화의 영향을 직접적으로 받을 수밖에 없는 수자원 분야에서는 1990년대부터 잦은 홍수와 가뭄의 반복으로 곤란을 겪고 있다. 특히, 우리나라는 협소한 국토면적과 과다한 인구로 토지나 수자원 등 국토자원 이용의 강도가 다른 나라에 비하여 현저하게 높기 때문에 지구온난화에 따른 기후변화와 같은 약간의 기후변동으로도 심각한 문제가 발생할 가능성이 내포되어 있다. 특히, 기후변화는 유역 규모의 강우 발생 패턴과 강우량의 증가 및 감소에 영향을 미치게 되며 이로 인해 강우 시계열 자료는 비정상성과 경향성을 지니게 된다. 그러나 지금까지는 IDF 곡선의 작성시 강우의 경향성을 무시해 왔다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화가 IDF 곡선에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 GCM 기후변화 시나리오를 이용하여 IDF 곡선을 작성하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저, YONU CGCM의 제한실험과 점증실험을 실시하여 전구적 규모의 기후변화 시나리오를 작성하였으며, 통계학적 축소기법과 추계학적 일기발생기법을 이용하여 대상지점의 일 수문기상 시계열을 모의하였다. 그리고 BLRP(Bartlett Lewis Rectangular Pulse) 모형과 분해(koutsoyiannis, 2000) 기법을 이용하여 모의된 일 강우 자료를 시자료로 분해하였으며 이를 이용하여 IDF 곡선을 작성하였다. 그 결과, 기후변화 시 지속기간별 재현기간별 강우량이 현재에 크게 비해 증가됨을 확인할 수 있었다.으며 여러명이 동시에 서버에 접속을 하기 때문에 컴퓨터에 부하가 많이 걸리는 모델링이나 복잡한 분석은 실시하기 어려우며, 대용량 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 대역폭이 확보 되어야 한다. 또한, Internet 환경으로 개발을 해야되기 때문에 데스크탑용 GIS에 비해 개발속도가 느리며 개발 초기비용이 많이 들게 된다. 하지만, 네트워크 기술의 발달과 모바일과의 연계 등으로 이러한 약점을 극복할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 홍수재해 정보를 검색, 처리, 분석, 예경보할 수 있는 홍수방재정보 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.비해 초음파 감시하 치골상부 방광천자가 정확하고 안전한 채뇨법으로 권장되어야 한다고 생각한다.應裝置) 및 운용(運用)에 별다른 어려움이 없고, 내열성(耐熱性)이 강(强)하므로 쉬운 조건하(條件下)에서 경제적(經濟的)으로 공업적(工業的) 이용(利用)에 유리(有利)하다고 판단(判斷)되어진다.reatinine은 함량이 적었다. 관능검사결과(官能檢査結果) 자가소화(自家消化)시킨 크릴간장은 효소(酵素)처리한 것이나 재래식 콩간장에 비하여 품질 면에서 손색이 없고 저장성(貯藏性)이 좋은 크릴간장을 제조(製造)할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.에 착안하여 침전시 슬러지층과 상등액의 온도차를 측정하여 대사열량의 발생량을 측정하고 슬러지의 활성을 측정할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다.enin과 Rhaponticin의 작용(作用)에 의(依)한 것이며, 이는 한의학(韓醫學) 방제(方劑) 원리(原理)인 군신좌사(君臣佐使) 이론(理論)에서 군약(君藥)이 주증(主症)에 주(主)로 작용(作用)하는 약물(藥物)이라는 것을 밝혀주는 것이라고 사료(思料)된다.일전 $13.447\;{\mu}g/hr/g$, 섭취 7일중 $8.123

Cracker Cell을 이용한 $CuInSe_2$ 박막의 셀렌화 공정 연구

  • 셀레늄(Selenium: Se) cracker cell을 이용하여 셀렌화한 $CuInSe_2$ (CIS)박막에 대해 연구한 결과를 발표하고자 한다. 화석연료의 과도한 사용으로 지구온난화라는 환경문제가 대두되면서 영구적이고 무상의 태양에너지 이용에 대한 필요성이 점차 높아지고 있다. 빛에너지를 전기에너지로 변화시키기 위한 태양전지는 재료에 따라 다양하게 개발되고 있으며 그 중 가장 주목을 받고 있는 것 중의 하나가 $CuInSe_2$을 광흡수층으로 하는 CIS 박막 태양전지이다. CIS 박막은 태양전지의 광흡수층으로 사용되는데 직접천이형 밴드구조를 가지고 있고, 약 $10^5$ $cm^{-1}$의 높은 광흡수계수를 가지고 있어 태양전지 광흡수층으로 적합한 물질로 각광받고 있다. CIS는 에너지 밴드갭이 ~1 eV로 실리콘과 유사한 밴드갭을 가지고 있으나 이는 Ga, Al을 In 대신 치환함으로 조절할 할 수 있다. 무엇보다도 sodalime 유리와 같은 저가의 기판위에 스퍼터와 같은 장치로 대면적 CIS 박막태양전지를 만들 수 있다는 것이 산업적인 면에서 장점으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 sodalime 유리기판 위에 스퍼터 방법으로 CIS 박막을 증착하고 Se cracker cell로 셀렌화하여 CIS 박막을 제조하는 것을 조사연구 하였다. 스퍼터를 이용하여 유리기판위에 Mo (Molybdenum)을 증착하고 그 위에 Cu-In-Se박막을 증착하였다. Cu-In-Se/Mo/유리기판 시료는 동일 챔버에서 Se cracker cell을 이용하여 셀렌화 처리 하였다. 물성비교를 위하여 Knudson-cell을 이용한 셀렌화도 시행하였다. Se cracker cell은 고체 Se를 가열하는 부분(R-zone)과 Se flux를 cracking 하는 부분(C-zone)으로 나누어져 있으며 C-zone은 700$^{\circ}C$로 고정하였다. 셀렌화 기판 온도는 425$^{\circ}C$로 고정하였고 Se cracker 온도는 330~375$^{\circ}C$까지 변화시켜 가며 CIS 박막을 제조하였다. 제조된 CIS 박막의 물성 조사는 사진, 현미경, SEM, EDX, XRD, Hall effects를 이용하였다. Se cracker cell로 셀렌화한 CIS 박막은 island 구조를 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. CIS 박막의 island의 크기와 모양은 셀렌화시 R-zone 온도(Cu-In-Se 박막에 조사되는 셀레늄의 량)에 큰 영향을 받았다. 셀렌화시 셀레늄량이 적을 때는 island가 커지며 불균일해지고 셀레늄량이 많을 때 island가 작고 균일해지는 경향을 SEM을 통해 관찰할 수 있었다. X-ray 회절을 통해 셀레늄량이 적을 경우 CIS 결정이외의 결정이 박막내에 형성됨을 알 수 있었다. 학술회의에서 Se cracker cell을 이용한 셀렌화에 관한 보다 깊은 연구결과를 발표하고자 한다.

A Study on the Implementation of Eco-friendly Green IT-based Libraries (그린 IT기반 도서관의 친환경성 구현에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to discuss concrete ways to contribute to the sustainability of the planet by actively applying and using digital and IT resources in libraries. To this end, a survey was conducted for librarians of public libraries, and the results were as follows. First, librarians' awareness of the seriousness of environmental problems and the degree of eco-friendly activities were very high, but their awareness of library green IT and familiarity with eco-related terms were very low. Nevertheless, there was a high degree of agreement on the importance of applying green IT to libraries. Second, the areas evaluated as having the highest contribution to eco-friendliness and greening of the library were found in the equipment and product operation area, followed by the service area and the network and system area. Third, how do you think library green IT will have a social impact? The highest opinion was given that it could increase the awareness of the library's social responsibility as a social infrastructure. In conclusion, it seems that the library's green IT can contribute to improving library perception by making the public perceived as an institution that has a social responsibility as a social infrastructure.
