  • This study examined the effect of perceived risk, an under-explored area in the knowledge sharing literature. We proposed that employee perceptions of risk relate positively with their knowledge sharing behaviors (donating and collecting), and examined the mediating role of impression management strategies in the hypothesized relationships. We also explored the moderating effect of leader-member exchange (LMX) in the relationship between perceived risk and impression management strategies. Valid and reliable self-report and supervisory evaluation measures were collected from a sample of 251 railroad employees in safety-sensitive positions. The results indicate that perceived risk was not significantly associated with knowledge sharing, but rather the risk perception impacts were indirect through impression management strategies such as exemplification and supplication. The study also found that LMX has no moderating effect on the perceived risk and impression management strategies. In discussing these results, we present significant insights in terms of subjective risk judgment as a potential mechanism which can encourage organizational politics.

  • Iatrogenic suclavian artery aneurysm is a rare disease which requires surgery because of the dangers of a rupture. We report a case of an aneurysm of the right subclavian artery developed by an iatrogenic trauma in a 43-year-old male. The preoperative diagnosis was made by an angiography and Doppler ultrasonogram. After the resection of a 6${\times}$7 cm sized aneurysm, an end to end anastomosis was done with a 6 mm Gore-Tex vascular graft. The post-operative course was uneventful and has been followed up from 3 months after discharge.

Although, spatial information based services are very useful, it has lots of possibility to damage privacy protection. But the contents of the legislation by government have problems conflicted between protection of a person's location information and invigoration LBS. Therefore, in this study suggest a causal model to deal with user satisfaction and factors affecting spatial information based services to customer perspective. The proposed research model is tested empirically with one hundred and forty one usable questionnaires and partial least square (PLS) method. Experimental results showed that the usefulness, playfulness, and service quality play a prominent role in influencing the spatial information services satisfaction compared to other factors. But, easy of use and perceived risk are not significant.
