네트워크 연결형 가상화 스토리지 시스템 표준화 연구

  • 네트워크 연결형 가상화스토리지 기술의 대표로서 SAN(Storage Area Network)와 NAS(Network Attached Storage) 및 IP SAN이 있다. NAS와 SAN은 시스템 통합, 빠르고 편리한 설치, 중앙 관리, 편리한 백업, 고가용성, 데이터 공유의 장점을 가지고 있다. 현재까지는 SAN 제품들 간 호환성 문제나 투자비용의 문제 등으로 인하여 시장 형성이 빠르지 못하나 SAN 환경에 대한 투자가 증가하고 있다. 그리고 앞으로는 서버 종속적인 가상화스토리지 시스템의 증가세는 둔화되고 NAS 또는 SAN의 가상화스토리지의 성장세가 지속될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 최근의 인터넷 환경으로 인한 컴퓨팅 환경의 변화에 따른 가상화스토리지 시스템에 대한 요구 사항의 분석과 이를 만족하기 위한 스토리지 기술과 네트워크 연결형 가상화스토리지 기술의 NAS와 SAN을 비교하며 네트워크 연결형 가상화스토리지 시스템에 관련된 표준화에 대하여 연구하였다.

Social Dimensions of Bio-technology: Focusing on HGP's Shaping Process (생물공학의 사회적 차원들: HGP의 형성과정을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand how a teacher's teaching can be changed while he or she teaches the same contents in different classes. The qualitative research method was used in this study. Data were collected from classroom observations, several in-depth interviews, and stimulated-recall interviews after each class. All the data were transcribed and analyzed interpretively, and then, the results of the analysis were checked by each participating teacher. The results are as follows: First, changes appeared in each class in terms of the teaching items, tools, sequence, and time, even though the same teacher taught the same contents. It showed that the teacher's teaching practice changed immediately and intuitively in class. Second, teachers tried to implement "exploratory teaching" or "move-testing teaching" to address the emerging problems during their teaching. They then reflected on and modified their own teaching. This type of change, which happened during the teaching practice, can be an example of "Reflection-in-practice." Thus, the results of this study can provide helpful insights into how teachers might adapt and reflect in their teaching. It suggests that teachers need to recognize their subconscious teaching changes and learn "Reflection-in-practice."

A Study on Vulnerability Assessment to Climate Change in Siheung-si (시흥시 기후변화 취약성 평가 연구)

  • This study has purpose to minimize the impact of climate change of Siheung. Vulnerability assessment was carried out for establishing the Siheung Climate Change Master Plan. Climate change vulnerability assessment analyzed using climate exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity indicators. A proxy variable is selected from each indicator. Meteorological data uses the RCP scenarios provided by the Meteorological Administration, and this study assumes that the same trend will continues in the future. Siheung are vulnerable to heavy rains in the flooded roads and farmland. Also, it is necessary to be careful heat wave in summer. The size and scale of the damage depends on the city's ability to respond to the impacts of climate change. It is necessary to make a adaptation plan for climate change impact assessment and vulnerability analysis. This study will be used to make Siheung Climate Change Master Plan and to determine the priority of the policy as guideline. It is expected that this study is helpful to pursue climate change vulnerability assessment of other local governments.

  • Landscape law was enacted in 2007 after the development of the Korea Planning Support System (KOPSS) in 2006. In addition, KOPSS was utilized by many local governments to improve reliability and optimization in 2010. In 2014, landscape law was fully revised, and it is likely to have a considerable impact on municipal ordinances and deliberations, which may have a considerable effect on the results of landscape reviews. This paper presents an analysis and verification of changes in the subject of deliberation by the amendment of the law and system, the method of deliberation, the composition of the scenery committee, and the introduction of KOPSS. We also propose a direction for improving the landscape deliberation system. As a result, the change of the number of deliberation items repeatedly increased and decreased due to the change of the deliberation subject and deliberation management according to the total revision of the resultant laws and institutions. In sum, it affected the deliberation decisions.

Relationship between the Distribution of Wildbirds and Temperature for Six Years - A Case Study of Worldcup Park in Seoul, Korea - (6년 동안의 야생조류 변화와 기온과의 관계연구 - 월드컵공원을 대상으로 -)

  • To see the influence of bird species by the change of temperature in city, we have carried out bird census 22 times for 6 years from 2003 to 2008 in Worldcup Park, Seoul. And we analysed the correlation between the temperature of Seoul and wildbirds. 15 orders, 38 families and 102 species were confirmed to have existed. We could find that Hypsipetes amaurotis gradually turned out to have increased with statistical significance for 6 years. To analyze the relationship between the temperature of Seoul and wildbirds, we have chosen 31 bird species observed more than 30% in frequency and proceeded the regression analysis. The survey shows that with the temperature rise the number of the resident birds such as Pica pica, Parus palustris, Anas platyrhynchos and Anas poecilorhyncha and the migratory birds such as Buteo buteo has declined. These 5 species have a possibility to be decreased as a global climate warming and maybe move to another habitat. In contrast, Oriolus chinensis and Falco tinnunculus are characterized into the species that increased due to the rising temperature. So they have a posibility to increase and expand their habitat. This survey shows that temperature rise can cause to change the composition of bird species. And 7 bird species related with the change of temperature have a great possibility as a indicator of the climate change.

Quantification of Climate Change Vulnerability Index for Extreme Weather - Focused on Typhoon case - (기후변화에 따른 극한기상의 취약성 지수 정량화 연구 - 태풍을 중심으로 -)

  • VRI(Vulnerability-Resilience Index), which is defined as a function of 3 variables: climate exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity, has been quantified for the case of Typhoon which is one of the extreme weathers that will become more serious as climate change proceeds. Because VRI is only indicating the relative importance of vulnerability between regions, the VRI quantification is prerequisite for the effective adaptation policy for climate in Korea. For this purpose, damage statistics such as amount of damage, occurrence frequency, and major damaged districts caused by Typhoon over the past 20 years, has been employed. According to the VRI definition, we first calculated VRI over every district in the case of both with and without weighting factors of climate exposure proxy variables. For the quantitative estimation of weighting factors, we calculated correlation coefficients (R) for each of the proxy variables against damage statistics of Typhoon, and then used R as weighting factors of proxy variables. The results without applying weighting factors indicates some biases between VRI and damage statistics in some regions, but most of biases has been improved by applying weighting factors. Finally, due to the relations between VRI and damage statistics, we are able to quantify VRI expressed as a unit of KRW, showing that VRI=1 is approximately corresponding to 500 hundred million KRW. This methodology of VRI quantification employed in this study, can be also practically applied to the number of future climate scenario studies over Korea.

Changes in Quality of Life and Related Factors of Surgical Patients with Thyroid Cancer (갑상선암 수술환자의 삶의 질 변화와 관련요인)

  • This study was conducted 1) to investigate the effects of treatment and other factors on the quality of life of thyroid cancer surgical patients and 2) to provide fundamental data for development of an intervention and symptom management program to improve the quality of life of those patients. A total of 76 patients who were diagnosed with thyroid cancer and underwent thyroidectomy from July 2013 to December 2014 participated in this study. To investigate the factors affecting quality of life, a t-test and ANOVA analyses were conducted, after which multiple regression analysis was performed. The results were statistically significant between preoperative and one month after surgery of sex, cancer history, fatigue, and quality of life until 3 months after surgery of stage, cancer history, anxiety, and pain. Multiple regression analysis showed that the most influential factors affecting the quality of life were depression and fatigue at one month prior to and after surgery and anxiety at three months after surgery, while no factors were found to be influential at six months after surgery. Overall, the results of this study suggested that it is imperative to manage depression and fatigue one month prior to and after surgery to reduce the physical and psychological pain experienced by thyroid cancer patients. Moreover, three months after the surgery, anxiety should be closely monitored and controlled to improve the quality of life of the patients. This approach is expected to reduce the burden on the health care system and social costs, which will positively affect public health.

Assessment of Environmental Conservation Function using Changes of Land Use Area and Surface Temperature in Agricultural Field (용인시의 토지이용면적과 지표면 온도 변화를 이용한 환경보전 기능 변동 계량화)

  • This study was aimed at assess environmental conservation functions by analyzing the change of land use areas in agricultural fields between 1999 and 2006, and comparing land surface temperature distribution between 1994 and 2006 in Yongin city. Land use maps of Yongin city were obtained from soil maps for 1999, Quickbird satellite images(less than 1 m) and parcel map for 2006. The land use area for Yongin city was in the order of forest > paddy field > upland > residence & building in 1999, and forest > residence & building > paddy field > upland in 2006. Decrease of paddy and upland fields reduced 34% and 41% of the capability of agricultural multifunctionality as to environment including flood control, groundwater recharge, and air cooling. Land surface temperature(LST) was derived from Landsat TM thermal infrared band acquired in September of 1994 and 2006 and classified into three grades. The results impplied that green vegetation in agricultural field and forest play an important role to reduce land surface temperature in warm season.

A Study on the Neutron Detection by change of Asphalt Content (아스팔트 함량 변화에 따른 중성자 검출에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the change of neutron detection can be use the basic data of asphalt content detector under the influence of the jurisdiction and usage of radioisotopes are limited of $100[{\mu}Ci]$ or less. To obtain neutron detector's properties using design materials in first step phase, the change of neutron detection is to be calculated how can be increase or decrease due to the change of asphalt content, also it look over the change results which is installed absorber(cadmium plate) around moderator(polyethylene) using MCNP Code.
