Determination Process of Drift Capacity for Seismic Performance Evaluation of Steel Tall Buildings (초고층 철골 건축물의 내진성능평가를 위한 Drift Capacity 산정 프로세스)

  • The actual performance of a building during an earthquake depends on many factors. The prediction of the seismic performance of a new or existing structure is complex, due not only to the large number of factors that need to be considered and the complexity of the seismic response, but also due to the large inherent uncertainties and randomness associated with making these predictions. A central issue of this research is the proper treatment and incorporation of these uncertainties and randomness in the evaluation of structural capacity and response has been adopted in the seismic performance evaluation of steel tall buildings to account for the uncertainties and randomness in seismic demand and capacities in a consistent manner. The basic framework for reliability-based seismic performance evaluation and the key factors for statistical studies were summarized. A total of 36 target structures that represent typical tall steel buildings based on national building code (KBC-2005) were designed for the statistical studies of demand factor s and capacity factors. The incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) approach was examined through the simple steel moment frame building in determination of global drift capacity.

An Indentation Theory Based on FEA Solutions for Property Evaluation (유한요소해에 기초한 물성평가 압입이론)

  • A novel indentation theory is proposed by examining the data from the incremental plasticity theory based finite element analyses. First the optimal data acquisition location is selected, where the strain gradient is the least and the effect of friction is negligible. This data acquisition point increases the strain range by a factor of five. Numerical regressions of obtained data exhibit that strain hardening exponent and yield strain are the two main parameters which govern the subindenter deformation characteristics. The new indentation theory successfully provides the stress-strain curve with an average error less than 5%.

  • In this work, some inaccuracies and limitation of prior indentation theory, which is based on the deformation theory of plasticity and experimental observations, are first investigated. Then effects of major material properties on the configuration of indentation load-deflection curve are examined via incremental plasticity theory based finite element analyses. It is confirmed that subindenter deformation and stress-strain distribution from the deformation theory of plasticity are quite dissimilar to those from incremental theory of plasticity. We finally suggest the optimal data acquisition location, where the strain gradient is the least and the effect of friction is negligible. This data acquisition point increases the strain range by a factor of five.

KMM: A Detailed Morphological Analysis for Korean (구조화된 상세 정보를 제공하는 한국어 형태소 분석기: KMM)

  • 이 논문에서는 한국어 형태소 분석기 KMM(Korean Malaga Morphology)을 소개하고자 한다. KMM의 개발 동기는 이후 자연언어 처리 단계의 기반으로 사용될 수 있을 뿐 아니라 이론 형태론 연구의 도구로도 사용될 수 있도록 상세한 형태 동사 의미 정보를 제공하는 것이었다. 이론적 틀은 좌연접 문법(Left-Associative Grammar)에 기초한 LA-MORPH이며, 좌연접 기반 문법 개발 도구인 MALAGA로 구현되었다. LA-MORPH에 기반한 KMM은 분석 실행중이 아닐 때에는 사전의 규모를 최소한으로 유지하다가 분석에 필요할 때에만 분석용 사전을 자동으로 생성한다. 형태소 분석은 분석용 사전에 근거하여, 매칭과 결합이라는 단순한 알고리즘만을 사용한다. KMM의 분석은 동사 어절의 경우, 시제, 서법, 문형, 대우법, 명사 어절의 경우 격정보, 수사 결합어절의 경우 추출된 수랑 정보 등과 같은 상세한 정보를 제시한다. 세종 말뭉치와 KIBS 말뭉치를 KMM 을 이용해서 분석한 결과 각각의 94.96%와 94.59%의 분석률과 88.4%와 90.7%의 정확도를 보였다.

A Study of the Causal Relationship between Organizational Trust and Error Management Culture across Social Service Agencies (조직신뢰와 오류관리문화와의 관계에 대한 연구 - 사회복지이용시설을 중심으로 -)

  • This study has two objectives. First, it examines the relationship between organizational trust and error management culture. Second, it also examines the effect of social workers' perceived work value on the combined model by considering the unique characteristics of social work profession and social desirability. This study employs the stratified sampling method on social workers with more than two year work experiences in their current social service agencies that are located in Seoul and Kyungki province; finally it analyzes the responses from 564 social workers by using the method of multiple regression modeling. This study has the following results: (1) there is a causal relationship between social desirability and organizational trust perceived by social workers; (2) there is a positive causal relationship between social workers' perceived work value and organizational trust; and (3) there is also a positive causal relationship between factor structure of error management culture and organizational trust. This study discusses the theoretical and practical implications of the results.

The Mechanical Dither Design of Navigation Guide Structure (네비게이션 가이드 구조물의 기계적 진동설계)

  • The gyroscopes have been used as a suitable inertial instrument for the navigation guidance and attitude controls. The accuracy as very sensitive sensor is limited by the lock-in region(dead band) due to the frequency coupling between two counter-propagating waves at low rotation rates. This frequency coupling gives no phase difference, and an angular increment is not detected. This problem can be overcome by mechanically dithering the gyroscope. This paper presents the design method of mechanical dither by the theoretical considerations and the verification of the theoretical equations through FEM(Finite Element Method) applications. As a result, the maximum prediction error of resonant frequency and peak dither rate was under 5 percent. The theoretical equations for the mechanical performances of dither can be said to be feasible.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 평판의 모서리 둔각이 135도까지를 갖는 재료적 비선형 경사평판을 해석하기 위해 C°-계층적 평판요소를 개발하는 것이다. 기하학적 변환을 통해 경사진 경계조건은 직각좌표계의 좌표변환을 이용하여 해결할 수 있다. 여기서, 경사경계는 경사진 변 전체 또는 경사교량의 교좌위치와 관련된 몇 개의 선택지점만을 고려할 수 있게 하였다. 이 목적을 위해 경사교량의 교좌장치의 이동방향을 설명할 수 있도록 1차 전단변형을 갖는 Reissner/Mindlin 평판이론에 기초를 둔 5-자유도 경사평판요소가 정식화되었다. 한편, 평판의 극한내하력을 추정하기 위해 von-Mises 항복기준에 기초를 둔 소성유동법칙을 갖는 증분소성이론이 채택되었다. 또한, ADINA 소프트웨어에 의한 h-version 모델과 제안된 p-version 모델을 사용하여 경사각, 경계조건과 하중의 변화에 따른 영향을 조사하였다. 해석결과는 이론값과 문헌에 보고된 수치해석값과 비교되었다. 자유도 수에 따른 정확도를 비교기준으로 한다면, 본 연구에서 제안된 해석모델은 지금까지 개발된 가장 효율적 도구의 하나라고 할 수 있다.

A Study on Bending Behaviors of Laminated Composites using 2D Strain-based Failure Theory (2D 변형률 파손 이론을 이용한 복합재료의 굽힘 거동 해석)

  • In this study, the bending analysis of composite laminates using the classical laminated theory is investigated. A piece-wise linear incremental approach is employed to describe the nonlinear mechanical behavior of the composite laminates, and a 2D strain-based interactive failure theory is employed to predict the ultimate flexural loads. The 3-point bending tests are performed for cross-ply and quasi-isotropic laminates. The analysis results with the failure theory are verified by comparing the analysis findings to the experimental outcome.

Characteristics of 1D-Consolidation for Soft Clay Ground Based on a Elasto-Viscous Model (탄-점성 이론에 의한 점성토 지반의 1차원 압밀특성)

  • In this study, in order to investigate the characteristics of secondary consolidation in the soft clay ground, oedometer tests were carried out in a normally consolidated condition, and the consolidation characteristics of the soft clay ground were examined by the Finite Difference Method (FDM) based on the Elasto-Viscous model proposed by Yoshikuni. The consolidation tests adjusted the consolidation load increment ratio(${\Delta}p/p_0$) to 1.0 for the four cases with initial consolidation pressures of 0.8, 1.6, 3.2, and 6.4 kgf/$cm^2$. The long-term consolidation tests were examined by the tests that changed the load increment ratio to clarify the effect of consolidation load increment. Although the numerical analysis was delayed in the primary consolidation process, from the result of the numerical analysis of the laboratory tests, the applicability of the Elasto-Viscous model was verified from the agreement of the secondary consolidation process. Based on the developing of model ground consist of general soft clay, influences of consoliation parameters on the consolidation characteristics were studied by the numerical analysis.

  • A firm decides to go to the project based on its investment analysis. However, the cash flows generated from the real project can not be always coincident with what expected as it follows uncertain behavior and the asymmetric payoff caused by the managerial flexibilities involved in the real asset affects the project value. Amongst various managerial flexibilities entailed in most of the real assets, although investment delay has been known to enhance the project value thanks to its ability to provide new market information to management, the related research to select the time to invest have been just few. Therefore, this research aims to show the theoretical framework to decide when to invest reflecting the behaviors of increasing project value and loss recovery cost due to investment delay with option pricing, related financial economic, and variational theories.
