This paper aimed to identify the architectural characteristics of the chimi excavated from ancient ruins, especially middle gate remains of Bunhwangsa Temple in the Unified Silla period. Middle gate had planned $3{\times}2$ with 295mm measuring unit and gabled building. Detailed study of the shape of chimi of the middle gate restored by related field experts reveals as follows. 1) Height of chimi is 4.5(130.6cm) of Tang's system of measurement classified as large one. 2) The front and back side square hole is made for transverse timber placement. 3) Position of chimi is not the end of the ridge of roof, it moved toward the center. 4) Construction method of chimi is structured with smaller beam and center column. 5) Width and height of the ridge is less than 38cm and 54cm to be approximately, Width and height of the gabled ridge is less than 38cm and 50cm. 6) This chimi is considered to be very unique when compared to existing ancient restored chimis, it is designed to be advantageous to the chimi construction.

Website localization not only means to transliterate the content and text of the original language web pages, but also adjust it according to the culture and demand of the target language market, so as to improve the acceptance of the local market. From the perspective of localization, this paper analyzes localization strategies and shortcomings of Chinese pages of Jeju official tourist website 'visit Jeju'. First, by comparing the differences between the Chinese web pages and the Korean web pages in the content and text, the localization of the website is summed up, and then the differences are compared with the local tourism website 'Mafeongwo' in China. Not only offering and suggestions for improving the translation quality in the Chinese web pages of 'Visit Jeju'. but also the making some further suggestions for the other Korean websites.

As results of this study about the restoration and production techniques of the ridge-end roof tiles excavated from middle gate site in Bunhwangsa Temple, the ridge-end tile was considered that can be combined with four distinguished parts such as a body with upper and lower portions, a back, a belly, and a wing. And also some patterns can be verified. The body and the wing were piled up the coil clay and the back-side was bonded. The pileup process was assumed that three types of wood tools were applied to bond the facing surfaces. After the completion of the pileup process, the entire exterior was retouched by hand. For touching the inside, bare hands or some tools like a wooden branches were used to scratch and to re-face a clay plasterwork. And also, the stamped patterns which produced by framework were bonded to the body. The results from the XRD and the TG-DTA, Tridymite which shows the phase transition in more than $867^{\circ}C$ could not be identified, and also the endothermic reaction peak at $1063^{\circ}C$ showed the result that the alkali feldspar such as the albite was changed into a different mineral at $1050^{\circ}C$. Therefore, the ridge-end tiles can be considered that the firing temperature was below $867^{\circ}C$.

최상삼 박사를 만나기 위해 떠난 이른 오후, 인터넷으로 KIST 지도를 뽑아들고 전화로 전해들은 KIST 안내를 되새겨가며 청량리역에 내려섰다. 택시를 잡아타고 KIST로 가는 길은 서울의 복잡한 도심과는 달리 아늑한 위로를 주는 안정된 공간이었다. 길게 늘어선 가로수 길을 지나 중문에 들어서면 연구원 중앙에 자리 잡은 넓직한 연못과 깔끔하게 정리된 정원수들을 마주하게 된다. 그 순간 KIST라는 이름에서 느껴지는 위압감은 사라지고 연구실에서 연구에 씨름하던 이들이 느끼는 휴식같은 공간에 부러움까지 느껴진다. 하지만 KIST 내부에 들어서면 철저한 보안장비와 비스듬히 열려진 문틈으로 보여지는 그들의 모습은 치열함이 엿보인다. 그 치열한 공간에서 연구원들과 함께 하며 그들을 이끌어가고 있는 최상삼 박사를 만났다. 세월의 여유로움과 인자함이 묻어나는 박사님의 모습에서 광산업의 가능성을 마주하고 온 시간이었다.

AVR parameter tuning for voltage control of generators has generally been done with the off-line open-circuit model of the synchronous generator. When the generator is connected on-line and operating with load the AVR operates in an entirely different environment from the open-circuit conditions. This paper describes a new method for AVR parameter tuning for on line conditions using SQP(Sequential Quadratic Programming) meshed with frequency response characteristics of linearized on-line system model. As the proposed method uses the un - line system model the tuned parameter sets show more optimal behavior in the on-line operating conditions. furthermore, as this method considers the performance indices that are needed for stable operation as constraints, AVR parameter sets that are tuned by this method could guarantee the stable performance, too.

Pavilions are aesthetic buildings harmonized with the surrounding landscape in ancient and modern time and space. They have unique open structures that were sited a short distance from a main residence. Pavilions were constructed for the purpose of resting and cultivating of minds through communion with nature. They were also established to use as places for building human network among men of letters. Pavilions are seen in China and Korea. They are called as 'Nujeong' in Korea. Nujeongs are not only for resting, but also for aesthetic thinking of ancient Korean writers. They are generally designed to provide visitors with a space where they can rest physically as well as spiritually and stimulate their own imaginations. Phrases that are widely used on the signboards of Nujeongs are Huehuejeong(休休亭), Manhuejeong(萬休亭), Sigyoungjeong(息影亭), Nongwoljeong(弄月亭), Gunzijeong(君子亭), Geoyeonjeong(居然亭).

Jungmun beach was confirmed only one beach as a nesting place of seaturtles in Jeju of South Korea. We investigated the environment conditions for nesting of seaturtles (sites 1, 2) to target as the spawning grounds of accidental nesting place. Sand temperatures of beaches at 5 cm above and 10, 30 and 50 cm below the surface of beach were measured at intervals of approximately 10 days during June to December. These data indicated that the optimum (over $25^{\circ}C$) sand temperature for spawning and hatching of seaturtles in the sites 1 and 2 from June 23 to September 29, 2008 and from June 23 to October 17, 2008, respectively. Also, maintained the optimum coastal water temperature (above $20^{\circ}C$) for seaturtles maintained from June 23 to November 17, 2008. Therefore, Jungmun beach could be the possible spawning grounds of accidental nesting place, where the landed seaturtles and hatched young seaturtles could be survived successfully.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Jeju dialect of service worker on tourist image, tourist satisfaction and revisit intention. The Regional dialect can be viewed as a cultural element that characterizes the region, It also serves as a medium to inform tourists of the feelings they experience while they are out of their area and visiting other areas. As a result of the study, it was found that the communication factors in the language communication of dialects had a positive(+) effect on the cognitive and emotional images of tourist sites. Interesting factors showed positive(+) effect on cognitive image of sightseeing spot, but did not affect emotional image. As a result of the study, it should be noted that excessive use of regional dialects may not necessarily have a positive effect on the emotions of tourists. If you want to develop tourist products using dialects, you need to pay attention to the use of words and expressions so that there is no misunderstanding.

We experienced a case of thymolipoma that is a rare benign mediastinal tumor, composed of normal thymic tissue and matured adipose tissue. A 46-years-old woman was admitted to the department of medicine due to lower abdominal pain. Simple chest PA showed a large mass shadow at right cardiac border. Chest CT scanning showed well defined large fatty mass at right cardiac border which was suggested thymolipoma. The mass was resected and confirmed as thymolipoma histopathologically.

As the complexity of the power system becomes higher, tests of the new devices, such as exciter and PCS(Power Conversion System) of the distributed generation sources, in the real operating condition are more important. However tests of the unverified devices in the real power system may cause hazardous malfunction of the system. In order to avoid this problem, power devices may be tested with the real-time simulators instead of the real power system. This paper presents an real-time multi machine power system simulator using PCs(Personal Computer) and Fast Ethernet. Developed real-time simulator performs the electro-mechanical dynamic simulation of multi-machine power system by the network distributed computing technique. Because the simulator consists of usual PCs and Fast Ethernet, it is possible to make up a simulation system very cheaper than the conventional real-time simulator which consists of dedicated expensive hardware devices. The performance of the developed simulator is tested and verified with the scaled model excitation system. The test which adjust the control parameters of the exciter is performed with the well-known New England 10 generator 39 bus sample power system.
