유통쌀의 품질유지를 위한 포장기술에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 국내 유통쌀의 포장재로 널리 이용되고 있는 지대포장재와 합성수지계열의 PE 및 AL 포장재의 저장기간에 따른 품질특성을 구명하고, 포장재의 투습도 5~700g/$m^2$범위의 4수준에 대하여 함수율, 중량 및 지방산가의 변화를 측정하여 포장재의 적정 투습도를 결정하는데 목적이 있다. 지대, PE 및 AL포장재의 저장 4주 후의 중량은 7.8, 0.1 및 1.5%감소하였으며, 함수율은 지대포장의 경우 3.7%(w.b.)감소하였다. 지방산가는 저장 4주 후에 지대포장은 9.4, PE포장재는 42.0, AL포장재는 16.8(mg KOH/100g)로 나타났다. 저장온도 20 및 3$0^{\circ}C$에서의 포장재 투습도에 따른 중량, 함수율 및 지방산가의 변화를 고려했을 때 130~210g/$m^2$이 적정한 것으로 나타났다.

Comparison of the measurement methods of soil water content by error analysis (토양수분(土壤水分) 함량(含量) 측정방법별(測定方法別) 오차분석(誤差分析)에 의(依)한 비교(比較))

  • A series of field experiment was conducted to find out error range and to compare precision based on error analysis of soil water content measured with gravimetric, surface & depth neutron and gypsum block methods in a sandy loam soil. The error of soil water content measured with gravimetric (core-sampling), surface and depth neutron method showed quardratic curve, whereas that with gypsum block was exponential curve in relation to soil water content. Within the range of volumetric soil water content from 11 to 33%, the error of soil water content measured with gravimetric, surface neutron, depth neutron and gypsum block method was ranged from 0.28 to 3.49%, 0.71 to 2.63%, 0.52% to 1.01% and 0.05 to 21.89%, respectively. The error of soil water content measured with depth neutron method was lower than those of other methods, when the soil water content was more than 14% in sandy loam soil. The relative number of replicates of soil water measurement for surface neutron, depth neutron and gypsum block method to attain same precision for gravimetric method was 0.6-1.7, 0.07-0.8 and 0.1-125, respectively.

  • A national standard system for the petroleum field has been developed to calibrate and test the oil flow meters in Korea. The operating system and the uncertainty of the system were evaluated by the peer reviewers of foreign national metrology institutes in 2002. Since the characteristics of the system might be changed by time, the uncertainty of the system is reevaluated with the consideration of the long term stability of the system. It is found that the system has a relative expanded uncertainty of 0.048 $\%$ in the range of $15\~120\;m^3/h$. According to the uncertainty budget, the uncertainties of the fluid density and the final mass measurement, which are temperature dependent, contribute about $94\%$ of the total uncertainty in the oil flow standard system

유류오염토양의 화학적 고도산화 현장적용기술 개발

  • 유류 오염토양에 대한 과산화수소의 화학적 고도산화에 대한 실험실 및 현장 적용 가능성을 타진하였다. 현장 오염토양 10g에 각각 과산화수소(34.5%) 원액을 중량비로 0.3%, 0.6%, 1.0%, 2.0%를 처리하여 혼합 후 실험실에서 1일 반응 후 TPH 농도를 분석하였다. 분석결과 토양 대비 2.0%의 과산화수소를 투입한 처리구에서 가장 높은 복원 효율을 측정할 수 있었고 2.0%까지의 투입농도에서 미생물의 농도 변화는 측정되지 않았다. 오염된 토양에 과산화수소를 오염 토양 중량 대비 2%를 분무기로 살포 후 로타리가 설치된 경작 장비로 뒤집기 수행하여 1일 후 오염토양의 오염농도를 분석한 결과 초기 TPH 5,365ppm의 농도가 2,317ppm으로 56.8% 복원된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 28 kHz 주파수, 조사강도 70 W/L, pH 7로 조정, 조사시간 5 min으로 전처리된 비산재를 사용하여 인공경량골재의 시편을 제조하여 압축강도, 흡수율, 단위용적중량을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 압축강도는 평균 18 MPa 이상으로 측정되어 기준인 18 MPa를 만족하였으며, 흡수율은 국내 기준은 없지만 일본의 기준인 12% 이하보다 매우 높은 흡수율을 나타내었다. 단위용적중량은 기준(1650 kgf/m$^3$ 이하)에는 만족하지만 비교적 낮은 값을 보였으며, 중금속 용출시험결과 측정항목에서 매우 저농도로 나타나 환경상 위해성은 매우 미미할 것이라 판단된다.

  • A structured kinetic model is proposed to describe cell growth and secondary metabolite, flavone glycosides, synthesis in batch suspension culture of Scutellaria baicalensis G. The model has been developed by representing the physiological state of cell described as the activity and viability which can be estimated based on the culture fluorescence. In the model, three type of cells are considered; active-viable, nonactive-viable and dead cells. Viable cell weight could be determined based on the relative fluorescence intensity. The flavone glycosides could be produced by both active-viable and non-active viable cells with a different production rate. And the model includes the cell expansion due to glucose concentration and death phase which accounts for the release of intracellular secondary metabolite into medium. Dependent variables include substrate concentration(glucose), cell mass(dry cell weight and fresh cell weight), product concentration(flavone glycosides), activity and viability. Satisfactory agreement between the model and experimental data is obtained from shake flask culture of Scutellaria baicalensis G. The proposed model can predict the cell growth and flavone glycosides synthesis as well as intermediate materials.

Glycoalkaloid Content as influenced by Varieties, Parts and Weight of Potatoes (감자의 품종, 부위 및 중량별 Glycoalkaloid의 함량)

  • The difference of glycoalkaloids content on various parts of May Queen and Irish Cobbler potatoes was determined. ${\alpha}-Chaconine$ and ${\alpha}-Solanine$ were isolated from the glycoalkaloids by use of high performance liquid chromatography. It was found that the 99% of the total glycoalkaloids was existent in cortex part of all varieties. Glycoalkaloids content was higher in apical or basal part than the middle part. ${\alpha}-Chaconine$ content of the cortex showed no differences among parts of the potato in both varieties. ${\alpha}-Solanine$ was not detected in medulla part. The potatoes were classified into 4 groups depending on the weight and the glycoalkaloids content of the middle part. As the weight of the potato decreased the glycoalkaloids content of cortex part increased. Glycoalkaloids content was lower in medulla part and no constant tendency was observed.

Analysis of size distribution of riverbed gravel through digital image processing (영상 처리에 의한 하상자갈의 입도분포 분석)

  • This study presents a new method of estimating the size distribution of river bed gravel through image processing. The analysis was done in two steps; first the individual grain images were analyzed and then the grain particle segmentation of river-bed images were processed. In the first part of the analysis, the relationships (long axes, intermediate axes and projective areas) between grain features from images and those measured were compared. For this analysis, 240 gravel particles were collected at three river stations. All particles were measured with vernier calipers and weighed with scales. The measured data showed that river gravel had shape factors of 0.514~0.585. It was found that the weight of gravel had a stronger correlation with the projective areas than the long or intermediate axes. Using these results, we were able to establish an area-weight formula. In the second step, we calculated the projective areas of the river-bed gravels by detecting their edge lines using the ImageJ program. The projective areas of the gravels were converted to the grain-size distribution using the formula previously established. The proposed method was applied to 3 small- and medium- sized rivers in Korea. Comparisons of the analyzed size distributions with those measured showed that the proposed method could estimate the median diameter within a fair error range. However, the estimated distributions showed a slight deviation from the observed value, which is something that needs improvement in the future.

  • Changes of weight loss and quality in 3 different apple cultivars and four storage conditions were investigated for 6 month storage. Weight loss changes in the pilot scale low temperature storage $(^{\circ}C)$ could be predicted with linear equations. Quality defects were remarkably increased at 5% of weight loss in all cultivars and storage conditions. It was possible to predict by linear equations the quality of apples by measuring acidity and texture highly correlated to the sensory scores.
