Psychological wellbeing, Middle aged women, Wellbeing with depression tendency, 율동적 동작 프로그램, 우울성향 중년여성 %600an This study was designed to confirm the effects of the Dance Movement Program on psychological health in middle-age women with depression tendency. 67 women with mile to moderate depression scoring between 16-25 were selected among 235 responded to CES-D (Radloff, 1977, Cho and Kim, 1993). The 46 volunteered to participate in the study were assigned the control. 7 attritions occurred during the course of the experiment leaving thirty-nine subject : nineteen experimental and twenty control, for the final analysis. Research subjects revealed to be homogenous demographically and by health-related variables. The 50-minute Dance Movement Program was performed by the experimental group 3 times a week for eight weeks, from October 6 to November 29, 1997. Depression, life satisfaction, self efficacy were measured before and after the course of Dance Movement Program. Plasma serotonin was measured to identify its relationship with depression, Homogeneity tests revealed satisfactory level on relevant research variables. Data were analyzed by $x^2$-test, paired and unpaired t-tests. The results are as follows : 1) The hypothesis that depresson score of experimental group will decreased than control group was supported by t-test(t=2.20, P=.0021) 2) The hypothesis that life satisfaction score of experimental group will increased than control group was supported by t-test(t=1.42, P=.0049). 3) The hypothesis that self-efficacy score of experimental group will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=6.20, P=.0616). 4) The hypothesis that level of plasma serotonin will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=1.88, P=.0524) Thus, the effects of the Dance Movement Program for the improvement of psychological health gram for the improvement of psychological health for the middle-aged women with depression tendency are scientifically confirmed by this study.

  • This research was conducted to examine successful aging and influencing factors in middle aged women. Data were collected from 189 middle-aged women in two cities. Data were collected from July to August 2017 using structured questionnaires. Data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that the perception of successful aging mean was 128.49 points (range: 33-165). Depression (r=-.20, p=.005) had a significant negative association with perception of successful aging. Family resilience (r=.49, p<.001) and life satisfaction (r=.54, p<.001) were positively correlated with perception of successful aging. The significant predictors of successful aging were age (${\ss}=-.15$, p=.013), family resilience (${\ss}=.24$, p=.002), and life satisfaction (${\ss}=.37$, p<.001), explaining 33.9% of the variance. Based on the study results, we suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply educational strategy to improve perception of successful aging.

Methods: Data from 80 Korean-American women living in Los Angeles, USA and 82 Korean women living in W-city, Korea, were collected using a self administered questionnaire including items on HLOC, HPLP, a Wellbeing Index and Major Depression Inventory. Results: There were statistically significant differences between the middle aged Koreans and Korean-Americans on mean age, education, religion, and current health insurance. Significant differences were found on HLOC (F= 2.504, p=.033) and Wellbeing (F=2.451, p=.036). The results also showed significant differences on HPLP (total HPLP, F=4.655, p=.001; physical activity, F=2.967, p=.014; nutrition, F=4.250, p=.001; spiritual growth, F=4.398, p=.001; interpersonal relations, F=2.648, p=.025; and stress management, F=5.201, p<.001) using ANCOVA. However, there were no significant differences on depression, or health responsibility in HPLP between the groups. Conclusion: Understanding middle aged women's health adjustments based on their culture will enhance the ability of health professionals to provide culturally congruent care and enable middle aged women to develop healthy lifestyles.

The subjects of this study were 9 obese meddle aged women and the data analysed using the paired t-test. The result of this study were as follows: First, TC(p<.01), LDL-C(p<.01), and HDL-C(p<.001) were significantly increased after long-distance horseback riding(LDHR). Second, adiponectin was significantly increased(p<.01) and also PAI-1 was significantly decreased(p<.01) after LDHR. Third, IL-6 was significantly increased(p<.01) after LDHR. These results suggest that long-distance horseback riding has positive effect on changes blood lipid, adipokines, and inflammatory markers in obese middle-aged women. Therefore we consider that effects of long-distance horseback riding has partial examine on prevention and therapy of obesity in middle-aged obese women who undergo physical and emotional big changed.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of aerobic exercise on immune function, physical fitness and fat mass in middle-aged women. Twenty subjects were divided into two groups : experimental group(N:10) and control group(N:10). Experimental subjects were under the exercise conditions to perform the aerobic exercise using the movement of dance-sports with intensity of 60~80% HRmax for 60 min/day, 3 times/week during 12 weeks. After the aerobic exercise, the numbers of neutrophil, Iymphocyte, eosinophil, basophil, 73, 74 and B4 were significantly different. Crip-strength and sit-up ability significantly improved and all so weight and fat mass decreased on experimental group. Therefore, the aerobic exercise using the movement of dance-sports applying to middle-aged women would contribute them healthy life and prevention of chronic disease.

  • This study was tested growth hormone and fatigue materials after eight-week high-intensity interval exercise to middle aged women (40's~50's women) who have been obesity without other disease. Two group of 20 candidates were randomly divided 10 persons as exercise group and control group. Exercise was conducted 8 weeks 4 days 35 minutes, before the study each group was checked vital sign for fatigue materials. It showed the following results. First, it has been increased growth hormone level after exercise program compared each group, significantly. Secondly, it has been decreased fatigue materials due to the high-strength interval workout for 8 weeks compared control as significantly. As a result, eight-week high-intensity interval exercise could be increased growth hormone levels by reducing fatigue and it might be preventing fatigue materials levels. We would suggest that high-strength interval workout for 8 weeks could have a positive effect for preventing and reducing fatigue and related disease, obesity.
