A Realistic Running Animation with One-Legged Hopper Model (한 발 뜀뛰기 모델을 이용한 사실적인 달리기 애니메이션)

  • The most important goal of character animation is to efficiently control the motions of a character. Until now, many techniques have been proposed for human gait animation, and some techniques have been created to control the emotions in gaits such as "tired walking" and "brisk walking" by using parameter interpolation or motion data mapping. This paper proposes a human running model based on a one-legged hopper with a self-balancing mechanism. The proposed technique exploits genetic programming to optimize movement, and can be easily adopted to various character models. We extend the energy minimization technique to generate various motions in accordance with emotional specification.

  • This paper is analyzing the situation of the electric vehicle Industry and draw the policy implications to promote electric vehicle industry. Major automobile makers as GM, BMW, Nissan, Audi produce various electric vehicles. But in recent times, only few electric vehicle sold in the world. So, many automobile makers gave up the production of electric vehicles. and the fuel-cell vehicle will replace the electric vehicle as a environment car in the future. We should take the build up of eco system between vehicle makers and the small parts companies, construction of battery charging infrastructure, promotion of standardization activities, and the government's support to revive the electric vehicle industry.

  • 자동차를 포함한 수송기기, 전기 및 전자산업에 있어 경량화, 소형화, 고성능화와 함께 에너지 및 원가절감을 위한 노력이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 알루미늄은 신소재 및 고효율 제조공정 개발을 위한 합금설계기술, 용해/주조 기술, 가공기술, 열처리 기술, 시험평가 기술, 시뮬레이션 기술에 대한 전방위적인 연구가 진행되고 있다. 최근 프리미엄 자동차 시장에 고강도 알루미늄을 이용한 휠 시장이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 2010년 전세계 자동차 휠 시장 규모는 56조원으로 알루미늄 휠 시장 규모는 약 19조원으로 점차 증가하고 있으며, CO2 배출 및 연비 증가에 대한 시대적 요구에 의해 수송기기의 경량화 및 주행 성능 향상으로 알루미늄 휠 시장 규모는 해마다 증가하고 있다. 7xxx 계열의 알루미늄 합금을 이용해 PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) 혹은 MAO (Micro Arc Oxidation)를 이용해 표면처리를 수행하였다. 표면처리는 Silicate, Vanadate 및 Phosphate 등의 전해액을 선택적으로 사용하였으며, AC 200 ~ 500 V의 전압 조건 범위에서 CV 모드로 전류를 인가하였다. 형성된 표면 산화층은 산화막 두께 분석, 내마모 특성 평가, 염수분무 평가, 전기화학 평가(Potentiodynamic Polarization) 등을 통해 표면 산화층 분석을 진행하였다.

Development of a Turbine Based Flywheel Energy Storage System Using Traveling Wind Power of an Urban Train (도시철도차량 주행풍을 이용한 터빈형 플라이휠 에너지 저장시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to develop a Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS) that uses wind power produced when an urban train is in motion, by utilizing a mounted turbine. This system was designed to generate and store electric power from wind power of a travelling urban train. The flywheel was designed to continue rotation using a one-way clutch bearing installed in the turbine shaft pulley, even in cases where the urban train decelerates or stops. This FESS can generate an additional 44% of electric power in comparison to a system not equipped with a flywheel. The generated power and operational features of the FESS were evaluated and verified through a wind tunnel test. The results show that the electric power stored in the FESS could supply auxiliary power for urban train components or service equipment, such as charging mobiles, Wi-Fi modules, and electric lights.

Prediction and Analysis of the Energy Consumption Considering the Electric Railway Vehicle's Driving (전기철도차량의 주행 중 에너지 소비 특성 예측 및 분석 연구)

  • In this paper, an electrical power simulation program was developed to predict the energy consumption of the electrical railway propulsion system, which considered the actual operating conditions of the electric railway vehicles. The developed program was designed to predictable the energy consumption during a virtual driving in the actual route of the virtual railway vehicles equipped with a propulsion system consisting of power conversion equipments and traction motors. In addition, the accuracy verification of the electrical power simulation program for a propulsion system was performed by using a real power consumption data, which was measured during the driving of the railway vehicles in the Gyeongui Line. In conclusion, the electrical power simulation program for a propulsion system was validated throughout a comparative investigation between the simulated values and the experimental values and the energy consumption characteristics of electric railway vehicles on the existing route or the new route will be possible to predict throughout the virtual simulation considering the driving conditions of the electric railway vehicles.

  • As the number of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is increasing dramatically Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) te chnology also has been spotlight from industry and academia recently. With help of V2G technology Battery of EV can play many important roles like as energy storage system (ESS) and electric energy resource in Smart Grid environment. This paper provides comprehensive review of Vehicle-to-Home(V2H), Vehicle-to-Building(V2B) and Vehicle-to-Grid(V2G) technologies. The economical analysis of these technologies is also discussed.

  • 사물인터넷은 물류, 환경, 스마트 홈, 자율주행 자동차, 에너지 관리, 스마트시티, 농업 등 다양한 응용 분야를 가지며, 거의 모든 산업분야의 기본 인프라 사용되는 핵심 기술이다. 하지만, 사물인터넷은 쉬운 공격 노출과 다양한 보안 취약성, 다양한 센서로부터 수집되는 데이터에 대한 개인정보보호의 어려움 등 많은 문제점이 존재한다. 최근, 이러한 사물인터넷의 문제점들을 보완할 수 있는 기술로 블록체인 기술이 주목받고 있다. 사물인터넷과 블록체인을 접목하면, 블록체인의 높은 확장성과 공격에 대한 복원력, 신뢰성, 추적성 등을 통해 사물인터넷 서비스의 보안성, 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 데이터 및 프로세스의 정형화, O&M 효율성 향상 등 다양한 장점을 가질 수 있으며, 블록체인이 접목된 사물인터넷 기술은 대부분의 산업분야에 혁신을 발생시킬 수 있다. 하지만, 사물인터넷 디바이스는 기본적으로 높은 자원 제약성을 가지고 데이터 처리에 높은 TPS 성능을 요구하기 때문에 기존 블록체인 기술과 통합되는 것이 쉽지 않다. 이에, 본 고에서는 사물인터넷과 블록체인의 융합을 위한 요구사항을 분석하고, 사물인터넷과 블록체인의 융합을 위해 필수적으로 요구되는 블록체인 스케일링 기술에 대해 알아본다.

Analysis of Charge and Discharge Characteristics of Heavy Duty Electric Commercial Vehicle Batteries (중대형 전기 상용차 배터리의 주행중 충방전 특성 분석)

  • These days, sales of battery electric vehicles have been rapidly increasing due to the strict CO2 regulations. However, since it take too long to measure the energy economy of electric vehicles, it has been required to improve the procedure of energy economy measurement. In order to improve this problem, the present study analyzed the battery charge/discharge pattern according to the changes in battery SOC (state of charge). In general, the energy economy test is started with a battery SOC charged to 100 %. However, it was identified that when the battery is fully charged, it can actually be charged over the 100 % (e.g., 100.5 %). This can induce errors in the energy economy measurement. Therefore, the present study recommend to start the test at SOC 99.9 %. The regenerative braking was partly restricted for the SOC over 90 %. This made it difficult to estimate the overall energy economy of the electric vehicle. However, it was identified that there was no change in the battery charge/discharge characteristics under the SOC 90 %. Therefore, the energy economy test can be shortened by predicting the overall energy economy through a short mileage test.

Performance Analysis of Object Detection Method for Railway Track Equipment Based on YOLO (YOLO 기반 선로 고정장치 객체 탐지 기법의 성능 분석)

  • 본 논문은 YOLO 기반 모델의 철도 시스템 내 선로 고정장치 탐지 성능을 비교하고 분석한다. 여기서 철도 시스템은 열차가 주행하기 위한 선로, 침목, 패스너 등의 구성요소를 포함한다. 침목은 지반과 직접적으로 연결되며, 선로를 지반 위에 안정적으로 지지하고 궤간을 정확하게 유지하는 역할을 한다. 또한, 패스너는 선로를 침목에 단단히 고정시키는 역할을 한다. 이러한 선로 고정장치의 부재는 인명 사고로 이어질 수 있어 지속적인 관리와 유지 보수가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 철도 시스템의 선로 고정장치 탐지를 위해 YOLO V5 및 V8 딥러닝 모델의 적용 가능성을 실험적으로 접근하며, 두 모델의 탐지 성능을 비교한다. 실험 결과, YOLO V8 및 V5 모델은 모두 뛰어난 성능을 보이는데, 특히 YOLO V8 모델이 더욱 우수한 성능을 보인다. 이로써 YOLO 알고리즘은 선로 고정장치 탐지에 적합하다는 것을 증명한다. 그러나 일부 False Positive Sample이 관측되었음을 확인하고, 이로부터 모델 성능의 개선이 필요하다는 결론을 도출하였다.

Chemical Prelithiation Toward Lithium-ion Batteries with Higher Energy Density (리튬이온전지 고에너지밀도 구현을 위한 화학적 사전리튬화 기술)

  • The energy density of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) determines the mileage of electric vehicles. For increasing the energy density of LIBs, it is necessary to develop high-capacity active materials that can store more lithium ions within constrained weight. The rapid progress made in cathode technology has realized the utilization of the near-theoretical capacity of cathode materials. In contrast, commercial LIBs have still exploited graphite as active material in anodes since the 1990s. The most promising way to increase anodes' capacity is to mix high-capacity and long-cycle-life silicon oxides (SiOx) with graphite. However, the low initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE) of SiOx limits its content below 15 wt%, impeding the capacity increase in anodes. To address this issue, various prelithiation techniques have been proposed, which can improve the ICE of high-capacity anode materials. In this review paper, we introduce the principles and expected effects of prelithiation techniques reported so far. According to the reaction mechanisms, the strategies are categorized. Mainly, we focus on the recent progress of solution-based chemical prelithiation methods with commercial viability, of which lithiation reaction occurs homogeneously at liquid-solid interfaces. We believe that developing a cost-effective and mass-scalable prelithiation process holds the key to dominating the anode market for next-generation LIBs.
