Performance of OFDM wireless communication system for modulation techniques (변조방식에 따른 OFDM 무선통신 시스템의 성능평가)

  • In this study, a OFDM mode, unlike traditional single carrier mode, is that a great number of carrier in multi-channel environment is transmitted by modulating objective Data parallel in order to execute high speed Data translation and make frequency orthogonal to offer high spectrum efficiency. As a result, this method is adopted to a variety of fields and is being actively studied. In this papers, the efficiency of OFDM wireless-communication systems is evaluated by modulation methods through computer simulation. M-PSK and M-QAM are used as modulation methods. The simulation is executed in a real channel and a virtual channel included multi-path, AWGN, Peak Power clipping, Frame Start Time Error As a result of simulation, it is confirmed that M-QAM method is superior to M-PSK in OFDM systems in terms of the transmission methods.

  • RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, technology is a contactless automatic identification technology using radio frequency. For this RFID technology to be widely spread, the problem of multiple tag identification, which a reader identifies a multiple number of tags in a very short time, has to be solved. Up to the present, many anti-collision algorithms have been developed in order to solve this problem, and those can be largely divided into ALOHA based algorithm and tree based algorithm. In this paper, two new anti-collision algorithms combining the characteristics of these two categories are presented. And the performances of the two algorithms are compared and evaluated in comparison with those of typical anti-collision algorithms: 18000-6 Type A, Type B, Type C, and query tree algorithm.

  • Link-16 is a up-to-date tactical data link used in the armed forces of U.S. and NATO. In order to guarantee the required capabilities of anti-jamming and low probability of detection, Link-16 uses the techniques of frequency hopping and spreading code etc. In this paper, under Nakagami fading channels, we ananlyze the symbol error rates (SERs) of JTIDS/Link-16-type waveform based on both the single- and double-pulse schemes by considering the partial band noise jamming and the pulse jamming models, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of erased concatenated code with RS-convolutional code. In the method, we make use of erasure for undecoded information when we have some errors in RS decoding. For decoding with erasure, the method is processed inner decoding and outer decoding again. After the erasure decoding, if the decoding result is better than the previous one, then we use this result. If not, use the previous one. In this paper, we use concatenated RS(63,31)-convolutional(4.1/2) code. Simulation result is compared with calculation result for performance analysis. According to the result, the proposed method has better performance than the others without erasure such that 2dB when 0.5$\leq\rho\leq$1 and 4dB when $\rho\leq$0.3.

  • A polarized mode convertible, wavelength tunable optical filters with acoustic barriers and acousto-optic effect have been produced in LiNb03 substrate utilizing the Ti double diffusion technique. Polarization conversion in excess of 81 % and a spectral width of -200 kHz (-1.83 nm) were achieved at a wavelength of 1551.6 nm and RF frequencies of 173.07 kHz and 173.05 kHz for both transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (lM) input polarizations, respectively. The electrical driving power was 10.97 mW and reduced to about 10% of one for an optical filter without an acoustic barrier. A linear tuning rate of 8.2 nmlMHz and sidelobe intensity of -4 dB was demonstrated. rated.

  • PTT(Push-To-Talk)란 모든 IP기반의 유, 무선 통합 인터넷 환경으로 진화하고 있는 이동통신망을 통하여 음성 및 텍스트 기반의 일대일 및 그룹 즉시 통신을 제공하기 위한 서비스이다. 스위치를 누르고 말하면서 즉시 의사소통을 할 수 있으므로 일반적인 통화 유형의 대기 시간에 비해 매우 빠른 통화 서비스를 제공함에 따라 각 업체 및 사무실에서 사용하고 있으며 카메라폰에 이은 새로운 어플리케이션으로 부상하고 있다. 현재 이동통신망은 기본의 TDM 방식의 코어 망에서 IP방식의 코어 망으로 천이하고 있으며, 인터넷의 보급과 확산에 따른 인터넷 기술의 발전과 IMT-2000, WIBRO 등의 시스템 도입에 의해 점차 이동통신망 내의 모든 NE를 권고하고 있다. 그러나 무선망에서의 음성 통신은 기존의 통신망에서 보다는 대역폭을 많이 차지하는 단점이 있다. 또한 통화 연결에서 1:1이 아닌 1:N의 관계에 의해 통화 연결이 폭발적으로 일어나기 때문에 대역폭의 확보가 필요하며 안정적인 주파수 사용률 확보가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 VoIP망에서의 SIP를 이용한 PTT를 서비스를 설계하고 위와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 ROHC 알고리즘을 적용하여 PTT 서비스를 설계한다.

  • 최근 들어 ATSC-DTV의 미래형 핵심기술로 손꼽히고 있는 송신기 식별기술(TxID ; Transmitter Identification)이 새로운 신기술로 대두되고 있으며, 이에 대한 구현성 검증은 현재 활발하게 논의 중인 재생중계기(EDOCR)와 연계된 단일주파수망(SFN; Single Frequency Network)기술의 실용화를 위한 핵심적 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있다. 하지만 종래의 TxID기술은 긴 주기의 워터마킹용 확산코드를 사용하므로 수신기 입장에서 하드웨어 부피가 크게 증가되는 문제점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 TxID 수신기 하드웨어 부피를 크게 경감시킬 수 있는 새로운 Decimated Correlation 기법을 이용한 DTV TxID 수신 신호의 효율적인 신호처리 기법을 제시하였으며, 모의실험을 통한 성능평가를 통해 제안한 알고리즘의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • In recent SATCOM systems, transparent transponders are widely used. The transponder is, however, the most vulnerable part in SATCOM systems against jamming interference. All signals within the transponder bandwidth are frequency-converted and retransmitted with IM(intermodulation) products. In this paper, the method is proposed that makes the SJR(Signal-to-Jammer ratio) better. The bandwidth spreading of the user signal can reduce the jammers effects. The geostationary satellite system is modeled to simulate and to certificate the capability of suppression of jammers by DSSS. If signal is partially-overlapped by jammer and PG(processing gain) is 16.9 [dB] for 2ASK jammer and about 16.8 [dB] for QPSK jammer, when BER is $10^{-3}$.

  • Currently, image processing are used widely and have various types of characteristics with the applications of VOD(Video on demand), the web casting services, the video conference systems and virtual realities. Using the scene change, at every time of video image transitions, an editor can classify the video context and also require a function of in(Boxing insertion. Digital watermarking provides a solution to illegal copying of digital contents and has many other useful applications, including web broadcast monitoring, transaction tracking, authentication, copy control and device control. The Purpose of this thesis is to implement of nonlinear moving picture editor for the multiple watermarking. For the effective watermarking performance, this thesis considers the protection of image quality reduction and robustness for hiding information concurrently.

  • As follow jamming signals in a FHSS system cause malfuctioning in the code tracking circuits using early-late gates, we need a code tracking circuit that is robust against the follow jamming signals. In this paper, we propose a code tracking circuit using a linear clipper-Gaussian filter algorithm to remedy the malfunctioning due to the follow jamming signals in FHSS systems. We investigate the mechanism of the malfunctioning of the code tracking circuit and verify that the proposed linear clipper-Gaussian filter metigates the problem through mathematical analysis and computer simulations.
